I've ordered from this place three times. The pizza is very good. I've also had the cheese sticks and chicken fingers. Both very good. Their honey mustard is awesome! Order an extra! My only feedback is that someone posted a pic of bbq chicken that looks amazing, but you can't order it online. I still have yet to try it. Buffalo chicken pizza has tons of chicken. It's great. Stuffed meat pizza is very easy to eat and yummy. Lasagna pizza, well it tastes like lasagna. It's a little heavy, but amazing. I think that's my favorite so far. read more

Yikes. I expected more, especially now during a time where a reoccurring customer base is essential to survival. The last few Grandma pizza's (our absolute fav from this spot) have been pitiful. Held off on reviewing prior to now because of the current pandemic situation and everyone's need for adjustment time. We have tripled our delivery action since March, but lack luster inedible orders like these have caused us to thin the herd. So, red sauce should taste like a juicy fresh tomato, that is if your red was intended to be Marinara or something like Marinara. Sadly, parts of this pizza didn't have sauce to taste. I also found it odd that the edges were burnt while the bottom still somewhat undone. And this wasn't the first time. Don't bother with the pasta section, it had that alarmingly watery red sauce drizzled on top, and the pasta itself left no legitimate reason to believe it wasn't frozen. It certainly showed up cold. Burrr. Done, with Mario's. OH wait! The bread that came with the pasta was warm, and delicious and coincidentally all I had for dinner. read more

Marios moved from in town Elkton out to Cherry hill. It has been an institution of great meals and family food. Mario himself often greats each customer, many by name. he has been giving my son treats since the day he was born. The food is incredible. Ughhhh... we tried this place for the first time tonight. Did not care for the taste of the pizza. It just didn't taste good. We usually get Tonys in Chestnut Hill Plaza and thought we would try something different. The ingredients seems to be of lesser quality at Mario's. We also ordered French fries which were very soggy. And it is important to say that living in DC, I don't have access to good neighborhood pizza, only gourmet vs chain, but not fresh, tasty everyday pizza like this. Looks can be deceiving...this place has absolutely amazing flavorful pizza. I have tried several different types of pizza slices here. My top favorites are "Grandmas," "Meat lovers." I have tried others and enjoyed them as well. I enjoyed their hoagies, but their meatball sub is not too exciting. I notice a lot of contractors like this place. We stumbled across this place literally on a gas station break on our trip, AMAZING pizza. Inside is nothing fancy at all, but in just a few minutes we had amazing breadsticks and fresh hot pizza that we all fell in love with. They did have pizza by the slice at the counter too, but since there were 4 of us, a full pie was in order. I quickly bookmarked the location because we WILL go back, no doubt. Pizza is great. Cheese steaks always have hard gristle in them and are really fatty and greasy. Fries are good, pizza is really top notch. Prices have gone up recently and that sucks. Called in an order, evidently at a very busy time. Ordered two vodka sauce pizzas, one pepperoni and one sausage. When we got there, the charge was over $50! Seems the guy didn't hear what we ordered, which is doubtful since I heard him repeat the order back word for word, so he had two vodka plain pizzas, a pepperoni and a sausage pizza. My husband came out to tell me what happened and asked how to proceed. I told him I want what we ordered. The owner, possibly, was there and was quite angry. They basically transferred the pepperoni and the sausage from the non-vodka pizzas onto the vodka pizzas. The really horrible part is that we found a foot long hair entwined in our sausage pizza, as well as hair on the pepperoni pizza. Just sayin'!!! read more

I have been a customer of this restaurant for many years and have always enjoyed the food and the service. However, tonight, my opinion of this restaurant has been permanently changed and I will never patronize this establishment again. I ordered a pizza for my family and was delivered a pie with the toppings slid off of at least 3 of the slices. I called Mario's, expecting the same service I have always received, thinking that mistakes happen and was told by the owner that they would send a new pizza, but not to touch the original pizza because he wanted to see it. Then, five minutes after the new pizza got to me, the owner called me back and stated that the original pizza looked eaten. I am insulted that after 20 years of being a loyal customer that I was accused of trying to get over on them when the whole situation was their fault. I have recommended this pizza to many people looking for pizza that is as close to authentically New York as you can get around here, but I never will again. I will just be sure to tell everyone not to dine at this restaurant, where even the most loyal of customers are treated like trash. read more

Not so good. Delivery guy got lost several times, I had to basically direct him. Pizza was an hour and a half late, and cold on arrival.

We have now stopped here 4 times going up & down I-95 from DC to NY as it's a mere minute off the highway, and shopping center offers a convenient spot to tie up our dog under a tree. The thin crust NY style pizza knocks it out of the park -- honestly think it's better than legendary Joe's in Greenwich Village in Manhattan. Husband loves the Sicilian deep-dish. I tried a slice of the thin-crust white pizza. Looked like fresh mozzarella on top, but turned out to be delectable ricotta, together with mixture of more traditional provolone/mozzarella. Probably whole-milk ricotta as quite rich. Best white pizza I've ever had, and among the best tomato-cheese pies as well. Prices are $2/slice & $3 for gourmet slice like white or w/ toppings. Small pizza is $8.50; medium $9.50 & large $10.50 so we always order the large plain cheese pizza and take leftovers back in cooler. Reheats beautifully. Not much ambiance, but older Italian owner watching soccer in Italian on the TV, together with Italians tossing the dough and baking the pies make this an authentic experience. Non-descript, run-down strip mall. Some homeless adults are living toward back of parking lot. We tie our dog up on pole in shade near them. Sad as they appear sufficiently intelligent to find paying job. Must have somehow fallen out of society due to lack of support/family/illness. We have given them some cash. No evidence of alcoholism. They told us on most recent visit that they sleep in the woods nearby. Woman was horribly bitten on her arms by insects. Unsure how I'll feel if I see them in the bitter cold weather this winter, when I'm here to dine at pizza parlor. We have only tried the pizza as it's so darn good. But other patrons are enjoying the pasta and the sub sandwiches, and many appear to be regulars. The bruschetta, offered with 2 different toppings, looks good. Prices for drinks are similar bargains ($1.00 for a San Pelligrino limato or blood orange 12 oz can) Can't wait to return for the white pizza on our next trip up & down I-95. read more
