By far my favorite pizza place!! Every time I order, I am never disappointed. My go tos are the white pie and the pepperoni calzone. The calzone's dough is perfectly cooked and there is never a lack of cheese. The combination of the ricotta and mozzarella is unbeatable. As for the pizza, the flavor is always out of this world and the crust is perfectly crispy. I have loved Mario's since I was a child, and now make it a priority to order it every time I am back in town. I hope this place continues to thrive! read more

For SURE, best pizza in the area. One Mario's large pizza is as filling and flavorful as 4 pizzas from the fancy thin crust places. Delicious and a great value! If you have room for food beyond pizza I highly recommend the 4 cheese penne and adding meatballs. Shrimp scampi is 5 stars too. Basically everything we've tried has been the best! Ordered sandwiches this weekend and boy were they delicious! If you like Eggplant Parm, you won't be disappointed with the eggplant sandwich! Fresh eggplant, not frozen processed crap! The Italian Beef was very tender and giardinara was very good. Both sandwiches were served on really nice crusty Italian bread. We also ordered a house salad. It's a dreary day but really, didn't need attitude with the Philly Cheese sandwich I picked up for my daughter at Mario's. Snarkiness on the phone (when I asked the difference between a whole and half sandwich - I know, the nerve!) continued when I showed up to pick up the order. We gave up on the mediocre pizza long ago (try Stop 50 in Long Beach if you want great pizza) and now, alas, will have to give up on the sandwiches too despite proximity to our home and my desire to support local businesses. Tried this place multiple times, every time I've had an issue with my order not being done correctly (mind you it's all regular menus things nothing special) what's even worse is the "tomato, mozzarella and basil "salad" almost 12 for sliced tomatoes some mazi balls and one full leave and one weirdly chopped leave of basil....that is not a salad that's sliced tomatoes with cheese and herbs. When actually getting food and it's correct it's good....you just have to hope they actually make it. read more
