I was in the mood for a ceviche tostada and this was close to work, what a disappointment, the place is very small, they do have outdoor sitting but not in this weather, is not equipped with A/C and there are 2 tables inside, the young girl that took my order was very nice, but the older short chubby lady was mean, and rude, no customer service etiquette whatsoever. It literally took them 20 minutes for my order to be read and there was only a gentleman occupying table. When I finally got back to work my tostada was SUPER SALTY and I was not able to eat it I think the lady did this on purpose. My husband brought me here at 10 pm online it showed they close at 11 but when we arrived a really nice lady opened the door and told us they were actually closed already. My husband explained to her I am pregnant and was craving cooked seafood and she said no problem I can make her a shrimp cocktail if she would like. I've been here about a handful of times when I'm craving a shrimp ceviche tostada. The lady at the register is ALWAYS so nice and sweet. I usually call in my order for pickup and she's always super welcoming over the phone and takes the time to take my order without rushing me. If only every restaurant had the same customer service! The food is always fresh and they serve a decent amount of food for the price. I especially love their salsa and chips. Jen needs to get fired. She is very rude and this place needs nice waiters with good attitides. The owner is super nice and humble. But that waitress flat out is horrible in customer service. Her attitude was exactly this when we got there. "Someone will be right with you" 20 min go by and she returns to take our drink order. Lupe for the win!!! My first time eating here. I've been living across the street for 2 years and never noticed it. I went this afternoon and now I'm Hooked! Carne asada tacos were on point. Very fresh! The addition of fresh cut cucumbers on the side was a first and I actually liked them. My hubby had the carne asada burrito.... A fricking huge burrito!!! He took it down though lol. I can't believe they have any negative reviews. This is one of the hidden gems of Upland. And I wish the owners nothing but growing success. The food is delicious and always fresh. We ordered the camarones costa azul (bacon wrapped shrimp) and a ceviche camaron cocido and the food speaks for itself but the sauces that come with are fire. We also got a bean and cheese which was a good size and they did not skimp on the portions. They're on the pricey side but it's well worth it for good quality food. As for the customer service, we had no issues and the woman who took our order was friendly and patient. If they were ever to relocate I would make the trip for this restaurant. read more

Overall the food we ordered was excellent. The aguachiles dish i had was absolutely beautiful. The wait was a tad long but if your food is getting prepared correctly then a wait is expected. The cold food game here is tough to beat. Each plate had a distinct taste and great flavor. The joint is on the smaller side and when its cold i dont want to sit outside. This place has some fresh seafood!! I highly recommend getting the Marsicoco Grande. I believe it's $32 and feeds 2. I also recommend the tacos Gobenador (cheese and shrimp taco) and the micheladas. I had the ceviche de camaron tostada and their ceviche is just okay. I honestly don't recommend it. I have had a lot better at other places. The service is good but very slow (emphasis on the slow). You could easily wait there 5 minutes before someone comes to your table. I still highly recommend this place despite some of the downfalls. read more

I have not had better shrimp dishes anywhere close to here or anywhere for that matter. It doesn't look like a fancy restaurant but don't let that fool you. Their food blows other mariscos restaurants out of the water. It may take a little longer for your order to come out, and you will pay a few more bucks compared to other restaurants serving similar dishes, but the quality here sets the bar. The Chipotle sauce is made there on the premises and is delicious. I have been told the wait is long on the weekends but if you go in a weekday you'll likely have the place to yourself. I have had the shrimp quesadilla, shrimp burrito both are the bomb. Best of all , never any bubble gut stomach pain after I have eaten there. My wife, my son, and I went to Camacho's this evening. I had eaten take out from there last week and I loved it. This was our first visit and I ain't gonna lie, the place does not give a great first impression. I don't agree with some of the other commenters though, the waitresses were really nice. The owner even came up and introduced himself. The food and Micheladas were excellent. We had the large Mariscoco, it is $35 and is supposed to be for 2 people but it is enough for 3 or 4.
