This review is based on the service we experienced today. My partner, our 5-year-old daughter, and I visited The Pozole Place on a Sunday. We placed an order for pozole, a tamal, and chorizo fundido. While waiting, my daughter kept saying she was very hungry, so I politely got up and asked our server if there was any item that could come out a little faster for her. The server responded that nothing would be ready in less than 15 minutes, which I understood, and I returned to our table. Our server then came to our table and explained that Sundays are very busy and asked if we wanted to cancel our order. We said no and continued waiting while explaining to our daughter that it would take some time. However, she continued asking if we wanted to cancel. Shortly after, she told us she had already canceled our order because I had asked about the wait time. I was surprised because I never asked to cancel the order -- I only asked if anything could come out sooner for my hungry child. At that point, we realized our food would take even longer because the order had been canceled, so we decided to leave. My partner commented that it was upsetting the order had been canceled without our approval, and the situation escalated quickly. The woman, who later identified herself as the owner, became very loud in front of customers waiting at the door, which was embarrassing for us. I tried calmly explaining to a customer near the entrance what had happened, but the owner came back, shut the door in my face, and told me I was never welcome there again, claiming we "always make problems there." That statement was completely untrue. We had not been there in over a year, and we had never had any issues during previous visits. So she is such a big liar. We ended up going to Casa Rubio's instead, where we received great service and enjoyed good food :) We are foodies and never had an issue before at any other restaurant ...
The restaurant is not very big. It's cozy and comfortable. The staff was nice. The carne asada burrito was very good. There was no fatty meat inside. I added lettuce and tomato to the burrito. The chicken pozole was hot n tasty. A little spicy for my wife and I but very good. The waitress said it wasn't spicy but that's an individuals opinion. If you don't eat spicy food it will probably be spicy for you.
Sharing for my pozole eating people ! Today We tried the green and red pozole and both were very tasty ! Very authentic and took the craving off my list ! The server was very kind and knowledgeable of the food . We received our order fast and the restaurant was clean and inviting! Only one thing I was a little disappointed on was the horchata had no refills .. but that won't stop me from coming back .. see you again friends . Thanks for the wonderful service
First time here. Looking for tamales and saw their menu and giving them a try. Looking forward to tasting the pork tamales. Service was amazing and the restaurant is small but cute and clean with plenty of parking.

I generally love this place. This is my go to place with my son. The restaurant is cozy and staff are always friendly. Food is great. Guacamole and chips are delicious! The drinks come in a large glass which I love to order an horchata with dinner. Funny enough I haven't had their pozole but have tried their tacos and burritos. My kids love this place as well. Hope you enjoy!
Food was amazing, service was absolutely outstanding, and love the ambiance! We sat in the outside patio area, which is cozy and intimate. Our server was really attentive and friendly as well. We'll definitely be back to eat here again, the pozole was delicious and so was the California burrito. 5 stars!
This is my 4th time trying this place. I get different things every time I come this time I got taquitos I really wanted flautas, but they said they didn't have them. I got Carnitas tacos and two tamales with raja's and cheese. The last time I came I wasn't very pleased with my order especially for the price so I said I wasn't gonna come back but I'm back today. My food was very good. My only complaint would be. I only got a couple of specs of cilantro and onions in my tacos. I've tried all their tamales and I did not care for any of them except these. They are absolutely delicious. I got an order for my daughter when she comes to visit tonight. Two carne asada tacos and one of the tamales. She will love the fact that they give radishes on the side. I took my food to go, and it was very mellow and clean inside.
Excellent customer service to begin with :) Probably one of the best potato tacos I've had in a long time totally different than anything. I've tasted.. love the little place very quaint Pozole is absolutely delicious. RED or Green . It's either posole or potato tacos. I don't like to veer off too much.. I have referred my family and friends to The Pozole Place when they are on that side of town.. My Sister & brother n law totally AGREE WITH ME.
The Pozole Place is one of my go to spots in Rancho Cucamonga, and it never disappoints. I come here often, and every single visit the food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and tastes like true comfort food. What really sets them apart for me is that they have menudo on deck 7 days a week, which is rare and such a huge win when that craving hits. Not many places can keep that kind of consistency, but they absolutely do. It's not loud and I get my work done on my laptop as I enjoy some evenings. Their pozole is always rich and packed with flavor, the portions are generous, and the service is always friendly and welcoming. You can tell they really care about quality. If you're in Rancho Cucamonga and want authentic Mexican comfort food that hits every time, I highly recommend this place.

We loved the food it was delicious and never lets us down. We always enjoy the service here, and Nora our server was very helpful and welcoming. We'll definitely return again we hadn't been to Pozole Place in over a year and once again did not disappoint. We came on Memorial Day and the atmosphere was set up nice and honoring.

Been coming here since they opened and it's safe to say that the food quality never disappoints. The taste is delicious and stays consistent. The service is always top tier, fast and friendly staff. They were accommodating within reason. Family and I were trying to decide to either eat inside or outside, the host came up to us and gave our daughter Easter eggs to play with while she waited. The food was delicious, wonderfully prepared with cultural designed plates. Staff was very professional and welcoming. Restaurant was cozy and comfortable. After passing by this spot a handful of times, I finally made my way in and I'm so glad I did! Whether or not you're going for a bowl of pozole on a rainy day, there is plenty on the menu to choose from. My friends and I started with chips and guac, which included complimentary red and green salsas. The chips were freshly made and the salsas/guac were soo tasty- it was hard not to save room for my meal! I had a small bowl of red pozole for lunch, which included a hearty serving of toppings and 3 homemade tostadas. My only qualm was the limited meat and hominy. I would be back in a heartbeat though! read more

Our waitress Nora was the best! The bowls and plates they use have so much personality. Reminds me of when I was a kid and got the Mexican tea sets to play with. We never have a bad meal here at the Pozole Palace. read more

The Pozole Place is honestly one of my favorite spots, and I have to give a big shout out to Lluvia. She has such a great spirit -- super friendly, welcoming, and always makes you feel at home. You can tell she really cares about her customers. The owner is awesome too, and I love that they now have two stores in Rancho. I was so happy when they opened the second location just 3 minutes from where I live. Their menudo is my go-to, and I'm super picky about menudo -- but theirs is always really, really good. And it's not just Lluvia; the rest of the staff is super nice as well. Everyone there has good energy and makes the whole experience even better. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out. read more

Can you add albondigas de res or turkey to your menu I love to be able to eat soups during the week all year long?
We are strongly considering adding Albóndigas to the menu in the near future. It has been heavy requested.
Anyone ever try the carne asada fries? What do they have in them? Pictures?
The fries were good but not enough meat on the fires, maybe add extra meat when u order
