    Fish taco combo
    Charlene C.

My husband and I have been coming here for many years. Yes, they're related to Taco Nazo. There are no tables outside but there's plenty of seating indoors. It's a casual place where you order first, put your number at your table and they bring your food out to you. You can also order online or cal ahead as well. Last year we used them to cater our family get together. We had ceviche and all kinds of tacos. Everyone loved the food. My fave is their fish tacos and I usually get the 2 taco combo which comes with rice, beans and chips. My husband will usually opt for the surf and turf tacos or he creates a custom burrito with fried fish, shrimp and carne asada. The food here has never disappointed us.

The location was clean and the cashier was friendly. I liked the fish tacos but the beans were too liquified and the rice was too salty. I was disappointed with them.

Senor Baja has always been my go-to for fish tacos when I'm in the IE. Their fish is always fried perfectly and has a nice little crunch to it. Not to mention their Baja sauce is the best! I always get extra sides for my tacos. My family and I went for lunch on a Friday afternoon and the place was empty. They have ample seating for customers which is nice. I got one fish taco and one chicken taco with an horchata for my drink. My husband ordered two fish tacos for himself. He's never been to Senor Baja before and he said he liked the food! Now I will say that their tacos are a lot bigger than I remember and they use a different taco compared to their past. But overall the food is still delicious! I have no complaints other than the price skyrocketing. It's $4.50 per taco now! A bit pricey, but at least you get a decent sized taco for that price. Still a great place if you're looking for some good fish tacos!

Was craving some fish tacos and ceviche so decided to give this spot a try since it was only a 6 min drive from my house! Perfect timing for lunch! I placed my order before they open but for a later pick up time. I came in and they still had not started my order despite the app saying it was received and ready. They were super nice about it though and worked on my order right away. The restaurant reminded me a lot of wahoos. Super casual ambiance. I ordered the taco trio special and chose the hard potato taco and 2 fish tacos. I also got a large mixed ceviche. The potato taco was good. Great potato to hard shell taco ratio. It was good with the red salsa. The fish taco was decent. The tortilla felt a bit soggy. The ceviche was a bit on the dryer sad which was unfortunate because the flavors were great. It does come with tostada and they also give you a side of chips.

This restaurant was clean and welcoming. Customer Service was super nice. They're famous for their fish tacos and it did not disappoint! I ordered the two taco plate combo, one fish taco and one potato taco. The food was delicious! I paired it with a pineapple agua fresca and that hit the spot! So delicious! Can't wait to come back!

Amazing fish tacos! They were loaded with cabbage cilantro shredded carrots onions and tomatoes and the most delicious secret sauce. They give you lemon and a chipotle salsa on the side and if you ask they have roasted jalapeños which are also very yummy. This is our go to hole in the wall fish taco joint. Btw you can do drive thru for quick takeout.

Can't go wrong with this place. Recently got a job here in Rancho and when we all ordered lunch my coworkers suggested Señor Baja and man am I glad I did. This place has flavor, spice and friendly service. Anytime I can I order the Baja style fish tacos combo the staff is always so friendly and thankful for us coming in. I appreciate that. Keep it up!

The best thing we tried was the chorizo hard taco! Next best was the fish taco. My friend had a ceviche and she said it was okay. There was plenty of seating and the price was fair.

What a great and TASTY experience! The carne asada tacos were top 3 I've ever eaten. The chicken tacos were equally as delicious. The fish tacos though...WOW. I don't usually eat fish tacos, but this is what they are famous for and I totally see why. Crispy, delicious, amazing sauce. Their customer service was 10/10 as well. I highly recommend!!!!

Delicious taqueria! Tried as many things as I could eat to get a taste of different items. Fish taco was crispy, tasty sauce, and veggies complimented the taco. The burrito was cheesy, and packed with delicious meat. The al pastor for yummy and a delicious taco. Had the potato crispy taco too, very good! Overall, the spot is clean, tasty food, and nice service.

My husband and I had great fish tacos here. We ordered their famous Baja style taco with a small side of ceviche. They even added extra chiles and the option to do a tostada or chips. We loved our fast service and delicious food. Cravings were satisfied!

AMBIANCE 5.5/10…read more After spending way too long trying to decide what to eat, we finally settled on seafood boil and landed on The Big Catch because of their all-you-can-eat option. Walking in, our first impression wasn't great the building looked a little run down. Once inside, though, the vibe improved. It had a rustic sports bar feel with TVs everywhere, an open bar, and a seafood station. Nothing fancy, but not terrible. EXPERIENCE 7/10 The service was one of the better parts of the visit. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and took the time to answer our questions and recommend a few items. The food took a little while to come out. BTW there's a 90 minute limit after we were seated and the second round of our seafood took 30 minutes to come out (they apparently forgot our order) and they proceeded to tell us we had last call right after our second round of food barely got to the table. Not sure if that's done on purpose but we really didn't really appreciate that. Overall though, the staff definitely made the experience better. THE FOOD 5/10 Here's where things started to fall apart. The first all-you-can-eat platter came with two snow crab clusters, 1/2lb crawfish, 1/2lb mussels, 1/2lb peeled shrimp, plus unlimited sides. One thing that caught us off guard and maybe we just missed it on the menu is that after your first round, you can no longer order the snow crab or peeled shrimp. That was disappointing since those ended up being the best seafood options on the table. The snow crab was solid, and the peeled shrimp were surprisingly good the texture was crunchy and we didn't get any fishy smell or flavors. Everything after that... not so much. Round two included whole shrimp, clams, and scallops. The portions were noticeably smaller, and almost everything tasted like it had been frozen for too long. The crawfish lacked freshness, the whole shrimp had the same issue and were mushy without the initial crunch additionally the shrimp was hard to peel which makes us think that it was POSSIBLY reheated, and the scallops were tiny with a strong fishy flavor that made them hard to enjoy. Even the House/Cajun seasoning didn't do much to save it. It was too oily and honestly just tasted like salt, there was no spiciness either and we got the hot flavor. Ironically, the sides ended up carrying the meal. The cucumber salad was fresh and crunchy, which balanced out some of the heavier seafood, and the sweet potato fries were honestly one of our favorite things we ordered. And one last thing... somehow even the water tasted off. What We'd Order Again Snow Crab Clusters Peeled Shrimp Fish Taco Sweet Potato Fries Cucumber Salad Sausage Corn Skip These Whole Shrimp Clams Mussels Scallops Crawfish House/Cajun Seasoning Cajun Fries Cajun Wings Boiled Egg Water Final Rating If you're going for the all-you-can-eat seafood, don't expect premium quality. The first round is decent, but once the crab and peeled shrimp are off the table, the meal drops off pretty quickly. Would we come back? Definitely not. We ended up paying 90$ for 2 people which you can argue is good since it's an AYCE seafood meal but afterwards after speaking to the waiter we found out the shrimp and crawfish was indeed frozen that along with all the other disappointing food doesn't make us feel like it was worth the money. Overall Gassington Rating: (5/10)

Sam did a great job taking care of us throughout our entire meal. He regularly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, including refills, extra lemons, and pepper. We also had a soda for $4.50 with free refills. Our total came out to $59.05, including tax. We chose the house mix with the spicy flavor, and it was delicious! The shrimp was flavorful, and we were completely satisfied with the both the food and the service. We're definitely adding this place to our list of go-to spots and will be back again!

We ordered one pound of mussels, one pound of shrimp, and a few sides. The sauce had great flavor, although it was a little too thick and paste-like for my preference. I think it could have used a little more juice or liquid to really coat the seafood better. A few things could be improved with the overall experience. The beer was served at room temperature, and the table was a little rocky--whenever someone at the nearby table stood up or moved around, our table seemed to move as well. They also only had one-size-fits-all gloves, so hopefully you have smaller hands because the fit may not be ideal for everyone. Price-wise, it was a little on the high side for the amount of food we ordered, but the overall flavor helped make up for it. Despite a few minor issues, the food was good, flavorful, and enjoyable. The poor experience began at the host stand. I had a reservation for 1:15 PM but arrived early and was sat at 12:56 PM. When I got to the table and asked who "M" was, she dismissively replied that they "just put down an alphabet." I told her my name was Will, but she didn't care to acknowledge it or correct her mistake. This cold shoulder continued throughout the meal. When asked about drinks, I said "water for now," and every time I said "thank you" to our server, I was met with complete silence and zero acknowledgment. Once my guest--who is white--joined me at the table, the dynamic shifted entirely. He received 95% of the server's warmth, eye contact, and attention. The only time the server actively engaged with me was to take my physical food order. Even the food had issues--our first crab cake was served overcooked. Because my guest was the one who pointed it out, the manager came over and addressed him to replace it. While the manager's interaction was a bit better, the server's dismissive attitude toward me never improved for the rest of the meal. To top it off, I was the one who paid the bill. When the server returned my credit card, instead of handing it back to me, she chose to place the presenter book directly in the middle of the table. As a business owner, I understand how critical customer service is. The selective attentiveness and dismissive attitude I experienced today felt incredibly biased and completely ruined our lunch. I will not be returning to this location.

I ordered the Lunch Meal. I had the Catfish Filet (Fried) and for the side, I had the Red Beans & Rice. The service was quick. The Catfish Filet was so good. Had a slight crunch to it and the flavor was so delicious. The Red Beans & Rice was ok, not too bad. It was a little light on flavor. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the food here. It was a fun day. Got to see Raina did her 3 lbs Shrimps eating contest (she won!) Also saw Mimi and Mr. Stretch. There was live music with the DJ, and everyone there was having such a great time!
