Great food and great service. I ordered the mojarra and it was delicious tender inside and crispy outside, they never disappoint.

Holy crap were these mariscos good. I had never been here before, but went with a co-worker. As soon as I saw that the owners were from Sinaloa and Nayarit, I knew I was about to have some of the best mariscos available. Those two states in Mexico are known for their incredibly fresh and flavorful seafood. To add to my excitement, on the wall is a framed photo of one of the owners engaged in a warm embrace with none other than the late Anthony Bourdain, one of my idols. Rest in Peace, Chef. Other than the fresh from the sea mariscos, there star here is their salsa verde. Not for those who can't handle spice. Seriously, you need to eat here. BYOB

Wow! Wow! The food is amazing, the flavor, the generous servings, and the staff are friendly and appreciate the patronage. I am very picky, and this is now my go-to place for mariscos. Disclaimer: the food has a spicy kick but not overwhelming where it takes away from the flavors. Lastly, you can taste the freshness of the seafood. Give Mariscos Chente a try you will be pleasantly surprised.

Don't be fooled: This place looks like a hole-in-the-wall from the outside, and feels small on the inside, but the flavors are real, and they are delicious. I had the pleasure of taking my mom here for lunch, and I had the fried fish, and she had the ceviche. The fish was fresh, fried to perfection, flakey and moist. So good. Momma had the ceviche, and she said that it was some of the best that she's ever had, and she makes some amazing ceviche of her own too, so she knows. We had the good luck to be served by the owner's grand daughter, and she was helpful and attentive. Momma and I have resolved to put this restaurant into the permanent rotation of places to go for sure. I think I made her more than a little jealous with my pescado frito! Oh, and the salsa was simple, but different in just the right way, and went very well with my fish. Update: I had the opportunity to go back today, and everything was just as good. I had a chance to try the pulpo and it was very tender, and my mom loved it. The granddaughter of the founder of the restaurant came out and talked with us again. She was very nice and was kind enought to tell us about the family and the history of the restaurant. Super cool place, and I was happy to support a local family-owned landmark. We'll definitely be back.

Menudo is good... also had some bacon wrapped shrimp. They cook everything in same oil...so I hope you like fish too. I asked for pan tostado for my menudo. I will be back. Service was food too.

The food is fantastic! I am a connoisseur of all things seafood and It's such a blessing to live in Los Angeles and have delicious fresh Mariscos at your fingertips. I had the Aguachile, The Beer battered Shrimp Tacos and Ceviche. Everything was very tasty. I Love fresh Raw Seafood, but my mom wasn't as adventurous so I opted to get her the cooked version. Both are equally as tasty! Everything tasted Fresh, bright and vibrant with the lime juices. The Aguachile had a nice kick, but very tasty and fresh. Great Mexican seafood at this Michelin rated restaurant in Inglewood!…read more My friend and I shared the following dishes: Ceviche Marinero: Fresh and tangy with a generous amount of plump shrimp. We asked for another basket of chips (free) to scoop the ceviche with. Crunchy and delicious. Filete de Pescado a la Plancha: The seabass was tasty and delicious! Nicely cooked and melted in my mouth. The side veggies and rice were also nice compliments. Each dish was around $23 - $25. Considering the portion sizes and proteins, these were a great value for what we got! You also get a complimentary basket of chips at the beginning with an actually spicy green salsa. The interior and exterior of the restaurant are nice. I liked seeing the display of news articles about this restaurant displayed. The service here was great as well. Our server mainly spoke Spanish, but that wasn't a problem since I spoke a little bit and he was very attentive. Overall, a great experience here. I ordered the ceviche cocido and found it to be mostly tomato, onion, and cucumber with very little seafood. It was also surprisingly flavorless. I also ordered shrimp with salsa langostina, and unfortunately that dish lacked flavor as well. To make matters worse, when I went to pay, I had already been waiting in line for quite some time. The cashier chose to help another customer before me, and when I pointed it out, his response was simply, "I didn't even notice." It felt dismissive and added to an already disappointing visit. As someone who has supported this restaurant for years, this was one of the worst experiences I've had here. Between the bland food and poor customer service, I'm sad to say that I don't see myself returning anytime soon.

It's been a minute since I've have had a seafood boil and man was this place was worth the wait!!…read more I came with a friend on a Wednesday night and thankfully it wasn't too busy. As for food we got the Combo 2 and our choices were shrimp, clams and snow crab. We went with the Torpedo sauce for our boil cause it was a mixture of all their other sauces (garlic butter, classic cajun and lemon pepper) and we got it at a medium spice level. And oh boy oh boy did it set our mouths on fire but in the best way possible!! The sauce was everything we wanted it to be, spicy, savory, garlicky, tangy and just pure indulgence. To calm the heat though we also got cajun fries, rice, Thai tea and Jasmine milk tea. Sharing a meal with a friend is always nice but sharing a meal with a friend here is great. I believe food is the ultimate uniter and I'm happy we chose to go here!! My one and only con is just the location because it was a bit sketchy especially at night but the food and service was so good I think it's still worth it to go.

The menu lists market price for their seafood, but nowhere to physically see the prices so you must ask the waiter. I ordered a pound of head on shrimp in spicy torpedo sauce (their house combination sauce) and some mild cajun fries for sharing. The shrimp was well cooked and a nice aroma of garlic lingered from the chunks of garlic visible in the sauce. The sauce had decently chunky bits which adhered to the shrimp well enough and was delicious with a nice kick of heat. The shrimp were less than fresh but perfectly palatable. The Cajun fries were lightly seasoned, with a crisp (but not too crunchy) coating, similar to the exterior of an onion ring. They were great for snacking and whetted my appetite well. All in the food was good, but I just wish the shrimp was fresher to lend some subtle sweetness and fresh feeling to the dish.

The steak is or was, mediocre. This is a seafood restaurant and specialty. If you come here, I'd say don't do the surf and turf (steak) but opt for more seafood. The shrimp grilled in the shell is lackluster because the shrimp often sticks into the shell and dry out, harder to eat and less delicious, in my opinion. All of the fishes that are grilled are great and the best options.
