I was in the Ladera Heights shopping complex and remembered a friend really talking this place up! I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Ramen with lemon pepper and garlic and butter seasoning. I got a 12 oz of the clamp chowder and I also got the fried shrimp with fries. My total was 45,47 something. (I cannot recall final amount). I must say, the food is very, very tasty.. The soup is filling and nicely seasoned. I love the thickness. It's a complete meal. The ramen is delicious and reminds me of the garlic noodles at Beverly Hills Crustaceans. The fried shrimp and fries were nicely prepared and I enjoyed those as well. Don't sleep on this place. Parking is ample and this food is jamming. I will return.

I was told about this place from a relative. I've already been to Star Crab about 3 times in the last month so that should say something. The service here is great, very attentive and friendly staff. The Cajun special is the way to go if you're not planning on sharing; snow crab legs, peeled shrimp, 1 corn and potatoes. I have yet to try the other items but as of right now this is my to go spot!

came here on a sunday evening with one other person and there was no wait. I thought that was a bit telling since I'm used to seeing long lines for seafood boil spots around dinner time... some more people came in as we ate but it never got crowded (about 4 parties in the restaurant at once max). the waitress got us seated right away and took our orders promptly. we got the #1 shrimp star family combo with 2lbs of crawfish for the choice of 2 in mild full house sauce. you could also get the shrimp peeled for a few extra bucks which my friend opted for but they did not look as appetizing as when the shell is on imo. when it came out, it didn't look very saucy and we were able to ask for extra sauce on the side. the sauce wasnt super flavorful but mostly oily and spicy. I usually love crawfish but it did not taste nor feel fresh from here. I'm sure it was frozen but it didnt say that on the menu. the pieces were very small and the texture was dry. everything was quite mediocre and we thought it was around the same price for boiling crab, but with lower quality food. we would have much rather waited in the long line at boiling crab if it meant our taste buds would be happy. if you're really craving seafood boil and in the area, this isn't a bad option but I don't think it was good enough to satisfy my craving.

The food was okay. I think boiling point is still the best seafood boil. The place was empty, so we got seated instantly. The seafood was fresh, I didn't get sick. The crab wasn't mushy and still had integrity. I feel like the flavor of the sauce could use more work. It wasn't impactful enough. The gumbo was pretty good though. Try it, if you do come here

Seafood boil flavor is top tier! I didn't want to waste a drop of it. We did order 2 different soups and those tasted very bland. Free parking and huge booth areas to sit! We arrived at the perfect time and were seated right away. Within about 10 minutes 6 more parties had come in and waited to be seated lol. Timing is everything. Service was friendly!

Foods pretty good and nicely seasoned. I usually order Full House/Spicy, delicious! Service has gotten better since opening. Usually not too crowded, I've never had to wait. I'll definitely return, conveniently located! Super casual, nautical theme, no need to dress up!

Sooo damn good , Going back again second weekend in a row Great customer service fast service and the food was seasoned perfectly and enough sauce also ! 10/10

Peeled shrimp and clams with sausage and corn. Cajun, medium spicy.

Good was really good. The sauce and it's level of spiciness was perfect. DO get the garlic bread to dip in the sauce. While this is not some over-styled restaurant (super basic in a strip mall), the service was really good and the food was worth the price. I am looking forward to coming back! I live 1 mile away and will let my neighbors know how good this is.

This a fairly new pla UI ce in the Wood so we decided to stop in for lunch this place is one of the hidden food restaurant gems in Inglewood. We were greeted with a warm hello from our server Heather as we were seated, she gave us menus and put the paper across the table and took our order. I got some mild peeled shrimp, fries, and garlic bread it was only 1 other family in there so it was nice and clean and the food came rather fast, the fries were fries it's hard to mess up fries and the mild shrimp had a little kick to them even though I got spicy and the the regular garlic shrimp were bland. If you want regular garlic shrimp and you want it bland order this but everything was pretty good and tasty I don't know why more people don't come here , for one they need better advertising it's pretty much in the cut (hidden away) there is no way this place should not be filled up on a beautiful Saturday like it is today. If you have been sleeping on Star Crab it's time you woke up and came over and had some King or Snow crab legs or some peeled shrimp and they have specials so can't say it's too expensive because it's not!!

Lemons, salt, ketchup for our fries!

I did not like the sauce mixture. I ordered peeled shrimp in medium and it wasn't good and was more salty than hot.

The Tempura Salmon Bites were a highlight, literally melting in our mouths. For mains, the Chilean Sea Bass was near perfect, though the coconut flavor wasn't quite for me. The Wood Grilled Branzino felt like a work in progress; the fish, broccolini, and sauce were great, but the fennel and chickpeas felt out of place. It definitely needed a starch, so I ended up borrowing some smashed potatoes from the sea bass dish to round it out. The Fishbar Margarita was fresh but a bit bland, while the Tropical Mirage had better flavor (though it's rum-heavy). We wrapped things up with the Banana Bread Pudding, which was a delicious end to the meal.

My partner actually suggested we go one day, so we decided to finally give it a try. When we walked in it wasn't crowded at all, just a couple sitting inside, and we noticed some people out on the patio. I asked if we could sit outside, but the employee said it was dirty and would need to be cleaned, so we stayed inside. There were two young guys working/Serving. As more people started coming in, it seemed like they got a little backed up and rushed. One of them dropped off complimentary chips and a green salsa, but he never came back with our waters or to actually take our order. He kept walking past our table several times until we finally asked him if we could order. He recommended the marlin tacos, saying they were more flavorful than the regular fish tacos, so we ordered those along with aguachiles (one of my favorite dishes) and a shrimp dish cooked in a red sauce. The complimentary chips were freshly fried and good. The green salsa, however, was extremely spicy. I normally enjoy spicy food, but this one was a little too intense for me to really enjoy. I ordered a pico de gallo, which tasted fresh but needed a little salt. The food took a while to come out. The marlin tacos arrived first and honestly they were the highlight of the meal. The flavor was really good and I enjoyed those the most. Then the aguachiles came out, and that's where things kind of turned for me. The shrimp still had the full heads on them, which personally grosses me out. The second shrimp dish in the red sauce also came with the heads on and served on a hot plate with rice. I removed the heads and tried a few bites, the sauce was okay, but not for me to continue eating. Between the wait time and service I was over it. At that point I mostly just finished the tacos. One thing I did enjoy was the cucumber-lemon agua fresca, which was refreshing and really good. Service unfortunately never improved. No one came back to check on us during the meal. When we were ready for the bill we had to flag someone down, and even then we waited quite a while. Eventually I noticed another customer waiting too, so we both just walked up to the cashier and paid at the counter. Overall, the food was okay, but the service and wait time made the experience worse. If the service had been better, I might have been open to coming back to try the ceviche or shrimp tacos. Unfortunately, based on this visit, it's not a place I would return to.

I had the crab and shrimp eggs Benedict. Creamy delicious sauce with generous but not overpowering crab and shrimp. My friend had the salmon salad and shared. It too was wonderful! Crisply lettuce leaves with a gentle, slightly sweet vinaigrette and salmon fillet grilled perfectly. Other than the waiter forgetting my coffee, service was good. I wasn't an issue, I was having a great time! Then we walked the beach - wonderful area without a lot of commercialization. More natural beach, no pier. Then returned for the ice cream and coffee. I was hopeful that Eddie V's would prove an ideal location with which to impress. Indeed it was! We began what would turn out to be one of the most enjoyable outings in fine dining since I have been in L.A., and the South Bay/Manhattan Beach area in particular. I can say that Eddie V's hit on all three elements that most look for when considering fine dining options-the ambiance (location itself), the food, and of course my #1 thing-the level of customer service! Other than past experiences in my 2nd home of New Orleans, (where top tier customer service is to be expected from "hole in the walls" to century old restaurants such as Antoine's, Galatoire's, and Commander's Palace-this was bar none my best fine dining experience in Los Angeles.......ever! Over the course of the next few hours, we would indulge in the following: Starters: *Caesar Sald-light and scrumptious. (I devoured this option in under 10 minutes) *Shrimp Cocktail-presented as a table spread as opposed to the shrimp being hooked on the outside of a generic wine glass. The shrimp were large and super fresh. We both moved in for the attack here! Dinner: *Crab Cakes (3) These are bar none the absolute best in L.A. I had two, and my guest knocked out one of them-they tasted just like Gulf crab-which is saying something. *One 8oz Filet Mignon-cooked to perfection (we kind of split this) lol Beverages: *GL Substance (aka the house red), which I enjoyed thoroughly. * Smoked Old Fashioned (part of a nice presentation where our server literally lit up fire and "smoked it" in front of my guest. *Perfect Margarita-a certified margarita according to my guest. * Fresh coffee and cream-hot and fresh like the food! Desert: *Celebration Dessert which consisted of a variety of special treats-all of which were complimentary. *Meyer Lemon Tart-a mouthwatering offering that was the epitome of that perfect blend where lemon and sugar meet in the middle. I have been here before and it is one of my favorite places for a boogie happy hour. However this visit, I was here for dinner with my friend on Shawnté Day (put it on your calendars for next year!) I was greeted with a smile and kind words by the gentleman at the door. I am not sure what his official title is, but it definitely set the vibe to have a handsome man in a suit opening the door and greeting me with a smile (Check). When I entered the hostesses were very nice, and when I informed them that it was my birthday, they lit up and gave me well wishes. My date was waiting patiently in their designated waiting area (because I always show up fashionably late), and we were escorted to a beautiful round booth in the lounge/bar area. We decided to get a bottle of Vueve Clicquot yelllow label and ordered the 8oz Flilet with an add on scallops, he got the 8oz as well. And we both opted for the Parmesian horseradish crust ... Ahhhhhhhmazing! Dizzert (yes I spelled that correctly) was the banana's fosters, which burned for an insanely long time, but it was delicious. Overall plus plus. My only feedback would be that our server, as nice as she was, was a little too chatty for my liking. Maybe it was because we were in the bar area, but if I wanted to chat, I would have sat at the bar. I wanted to enjoy my date and it be about me (It was my birthday afterall!), and she kept interrupting to chat. But the experience was great, i will be back!!
