It's been a minute since I've have had a seafood boil and man was this place was worth the wait!! I came with a friend on a Wednesday night and thankfully it wasn't too busy. As for food we got the Combo 2 and our choices were shrimp, clams and snow crab. We went with the Torpedo sauce for our boil cause it was a mixture of all their other sauces (garlic butter, classic cajun and lemon pepper) and we got it at a medium spice level. And oh boy oh boy did it set our mouths on fire but in the best way possible!! The sauce was everything we wanted it to be, spicy, savory, garlicky, tangy and just pure indulgence. To calm the heat though we also got cajun fries, rice, Thai tea and Jasmine milk tea. Sharing a meal with a friend is always nice but sharing a meal with a friend here is great. I believe food is the ultimate uniter and I'm happy we chose to go here!! My one and only con is just the location because it was a bit sketchy especially at night but the food and service was so good I think it's still worth it to go. read more

This place is a decently sized restaurant in a small strip mall. There is a TV playing sports and a few advertisements of their food on the walls and windows. The menu lists market price for their seafood, but nowhere to physically see the prices so you must ask the waiter. I ordered a pound of head on shrimp in spicy torpedo sauce (their house combination sauce) and some mild cajun fries for sharing. The shrimp was well cooked and a nice aroma of garlic lingered from the chunks of garlic visible in the sauce. The sauce had decently chunky bits which adhered to the shrimp well enough and was delicious with a nice kick of heat. The shrimp were less than fresh but perfectly palatable. The Cajun fries were lightly seasoned, with a crisp (but not too crunchy) coating, similar to the exterior of an onion ring. They were great for snacking and whetted my appetite well. All in the food was good, but I just wish the shrimp was fresher to lend some subtle sweetness and fresh feeling to the dish. read more

It only took about 20 minutes to get the food prepared and it was really good. I actually was so much food. I brought my food home all there from LA and bucket of ice because like wasted. Price was affordable. You definitely got your moneys worth. It was kind of cold in there dark so we opted to take everything back to the hotel which was great. Food was piping hot stop lol when we got back to the hotel. I think the only thing I would work on as far as this restaurant is the aesthetics the welcoming and the warmth inside the place so that people will want to sit down and eat. The service was great, and he waitress was very polite. We ordered a combo #2, medium spice, with snow crab, peeled shrimp, and clams. Everything was fresh and delicious. The clams are really fresh so even when washed you still might get a little sand so keep that in mind. The flavor was good and so was the spice level. It had a little less broth at the bottom than we are used to but they gave us a little bowl of the sauce for dipping. They also provided all of the usual utensils, lemons, and coarse salt/pepper mix. My favorite cajun boil in all of Los Angeles is Submarine Crab in Garden Grove, so I was quite happy to hear they opened a second branch in Hawthorn, right near where I have to take my kid to his band's weekly rehearsal in Long Beach. Decided to give it a try after a Sunday band practice and was not disappointed. This location is still getting settled in. It's a much more industrial area than Garden Grove and the restaurant itself is smaller. Sadly, when I went a couple weeks ago, they still didn't have any kind of liquor license, so no beer like at Garden Grove. Wah! Hopefully, that gets sorted quickly. Located in a small block long strip mall, we found service to be friendly enough. The place is pretty new and was empty. I hope that changes. Cause the food is just as good as the other location. We got the Combo C with 3 lbs. of shrimp, 1 lobster tail, 1 lb. of snow crab in torpedo sauce, spicy, and it was just as good and delicious as the GG location. The garlic noodles were also just as excellent. They didn't have any of the grilled items for some reason due to missing equipment still not installed yet. That was a shame, as I like their grilled large prawns. We tried the seafood noodles, which were okay, but we were a little disappointed because the pic in the menu and in the window shows a plate loaded with sausage slices, and what we got had very little sausage. We came here a few times last year and we loved the food and had good experiences, so we came back a few weeks ago and ordered combo #3 (shrimp and snow crab legs). Shrimp was good, but there was barely any meat inside the snow crab legs. You could tell by holding the legs (they were so light that I thought they served just the shells). Great customer service! Got a combo 2 with the all seasonings flavor mild. Although there was a lot of garlic in there the flavor wasn't really there? Like it wasn't really fresh? Idk. I also got clams and most were still shut, they weren't open. And the ones that were open were a little hard to chew. So I just didn't eat them although that's what I was craving the most. I also wanted king crab but the girl over the phone told me it wasn't season so they weren't good. Thank you for the honesty! I called in my order for pick up on a Sunday night, it was empty so I didn't get to experience any delays. Gave this restaurant a try on a Sunday and had a pleasant experience. The service was great and the workers always checked up on us! Purchased combo 1 ($45). The sauce was a bit sweeter than I thought it would be so keep that in mind! Since summer is here, I do have to say that it is fairly hot in there since there's no AC or fans. But I know they just opened up a couple of months ago. No beer yet but hopefully they can serve that soon. Best thing that's happened to me all year! This is the south bay's best seafood boil to date, and their Torpedo sauce rocks. The crawfish are sizeable and fresh, shrimp in their shells are succulent, and juicy little clams and tender mussels soak through with sauce. The Mini Sampler is the best deal for two - you even get some corn, potatoes, and sausage. Plenty of other items on the menu to supplement your seafood if you wish. Popcorn Chicken is deliciously, freshly fried, and Garlic Noodles are pretty great, chewy and buttery with a garlic bite. It's all about the shellfish but the little extras are quite nice. Eat there if you'd like, but their takeout option is pretty great for a night in as well. They include paper for easy cleanup and gloves in every bag so you can enjoy it anywhere you like. read more

We got the Comb #2 and chose 1lb shrimp, 1lb crawfish and 1lb of the Dungeness crab legs. Lots of sauce options to choose from but the server recommend the house sauce which was Torpedo. For the sides, garlic noodles and Cajun fries! The food came out fast! Garlic Noodles: 10/10 - tasted phenomenal and actually saucy and not dry like most garlic noodles I've had. Cajun Fries: 10/10 - nice kick to them and were very crunchy Combo #2 w/ Torpedo Sauce - Mild : 11/10! The sauce was such a great choice. Very generous servings of each protein. I loved that they served it in a pot with a spoon to get to the bottom. They even gave a bowl of the sauce to dip everything in! Flavor was addicting. Got the popcorn chicken which doesn't have that nice Taiwanese spice kick you get from most popcorn chicken places but the sweet chili dipping sauce makes up for it.
