Combo 2 (2 Corns, 2 Potatoes & 4 Sausages Included) with 2lb of shrimp & 1 lb Snow Crab Legs

This is my go to! We always order combo #2 with a jug of either of their special drinks. The server is always so attentive and the food comes out quick. I would recommend over Boiling Crab any day.

Where should I start with this establishment ...one the food was definitely four stars or a little bit above. The customer service took a little warming up. When when my sister and I first walked in, we were barely in the door and the young lady was like "take out" or "to go" no hello; no welcoming- like oh, OK. We can't sit down like it was just off putting maybe because of the area however we were " tourist" and had looked up this location because we wanted Seafood and it wasn't that far from the hotel that we were staying at any rate once we started talking and communicating about the different options and then my cousins walked into All ordering food the young lady softened, and Was engaging. It only took about 20 minutes to get the food prepared and it was really good. I actually was so much food. I brought my food home all there from LA and bucket of ice because like wasted. Price was affordable. You definitely got your moneys worth. It was kind of cold in there dark so we opted to take everything back to the hotel which was great. Food was piping hot stop lol when we got back to the hotel. I think the only thing I would work on as far as this restaurant is the aesthetics the welcoming and the warmth inside the place so that people will want to sit down and eat. I had 1lb of shrimp head off and a lb of crab which yielded about 1 1/2 crabs. My bag was as heavy!!! Like the sauce as well Spicy Lemon Garlic and an extra cup of garlic butter.

They were accommodating of our very large party. Staff are very friendly and attentive. The seafood was good.

I can't remember our waitress name but she was super sweet! We came in before they closed and she was so kind and respectful to give us time and welcome us in to have a great meal. We LOVED the crab cheese wontons, 100% recommend. We had the combo 2 seafood boil, mild, with the torpedo seasoning. Absolutely delicious!!! Next time will swap clams for crawfish but other than, delicious and so fun!

Seafood Pasta - okay, but pic on menu shows a lot more sausage

My favorite cajun boil in all of Los Angeles is Submarine Crab in Garden Grove, so I was quite happy to hear they opened a second branch in Hawthorn, right near where I have to take my kid to his band's weekly rehearsal in Long Beach. Decided to give it a try after a Sunday band practice and was not disappointed. This location is still getting settled in. It's a much more industrial area than Garden Grove and the restaurant itself is smaller. Sadly, when I went a couple weeks ago, they still didn't have any kind of liquor license, so no beer like at Garden Grove. Wah! Hopefully, that gets sorted quickly. Located in a small block long strip mall, we found service to be friendly enough. The place is pretty new and was empty. I hope that changes. Cause the food is just as good as the other location. We got the Combo C with 3 lbs. of shrimp, 1 lobster tail, 1 lb. of snow crab in torpedo sauce, spicy, and it was just as good and delicious as the GG location. The garlic noodles were also just as excellent. They didn't have any of the grilled items for some reason due to missing equipment still not installed yet. That was a shame, as I like their grilled large prawns. We tried the seafood noodles, which were okay, but we were a little disappointed because the pic in the menu and in the window shows a plate loaded with sausage slices, and what we got had very little sausage. Whichever location you are near, rush to try it. Their sauces and garlic noodles are just truly excellent. Highly recommended.

Gave this restaurant a try on a Sunday and had a pleasant experience. The service was great and the workers always checked up on us! Purchased combo 1 ($45). The sauce was a bit sweeter than I thought it would be so keep that in mind! Since summer is here, I do have to say that it is fairly hot in there since there's no AC or fans. But I know they just opened up a couple of months ago. No beer yet but hopefully they can serve that soon. The placement of the bathroom is a bit awkward since you have to walk through the kitchen but at least everything was clean. Parking: fairly easy since it's in a plaza

Planned a family outing and this newer place didn't disappoint. Friendly service along with the best recommendations. We will be back.

It said non spicy garlic noodles and it was covered in spicy oil and the shrimp I ordered the house sauce was not good. It had a weird taste to it. Won't ever order from here again.

A closed Submarine Crab that should be open according to the posted hours.

Took a Lyft to this place, waited 10 minutes after opening hours for it to open. Called and no answer. One star.

The steak is or was, mediocre. This is a seafood restaurant and specialty. If you come here, I'd say don't do the surf and turf (steak) but opt for more seafood. The shrimp grilled in the shell is lackluster because the shrimp often sticks into the shell and dry out, harder to eat and less delicious, in my opinion. All of the fishes that are grilled are great and the best options.

I wished to connect with her in an effort to re-establish our work relationship after being out of the loop the last few years. I was hopeful that Eddie V's would prove an ideal location with which to impress. Indeed it was! We began what would turn out to be one of the most enjoyable outings in fine dining since I have been in L.A., and the South Bay/Manhattan Beach area in particular. I can say that Eddie V's hit on all three elements that most look for when considering fine dining options-the ambiance (location itself), the food, and of course my #1 thing-the level of customer service! Other than past experiences in my 2nd home of New Orleans, (where top tier customer service is to be expected from "hole in the walls" to century old restaurants such as Antoine's, Galatoire's, and Commander's Palace-this was bar none my best fine dining experience in Los Angeles.......ever! Over the course of the next few hours, we would indulge in the following: Starters: *Caesar Sald-light and scrumptious. (I devoured this option in under 10 minutes) *Shrimp Cocktail-presented as a table spread as opposed to the shrimp being hooked on the outside of a generic wine glass. The shrimp were large and super fresh. We both moved in for the attack here! Dinner: *Crab Cakes (3) These are bar none the absolute best in L.A. I had two, and my guest knocked out one of them-they tasted just like Gulf crab-which is saying something. *One 8oz Filet Mignon-cooked to perfection (we kind of split this) lol Beverages: *GL Substance (aka the house red), which I enjoyed thoroughly. * Smoked Old Fashioned (part of a nice presentation where our server literally lit up fire and "smoked it" in front of my guest. *Perfect Margarita-a certified margarita according to my guest. * Fresh coffee and cream-hot and fresh like the food! Desert: *Celebration Dessert which consisted of a variety of special treats-all of which were complimentary. *Meyer Lemon Tart-a mouthwatering offering that was the epitome of that perfect blend where lemon and sugar meet in the middle. Customer Service The CSA, or Customer Service All Star of this experience was Kayla P-pictured. Honorable mention goes out to hostess Azhanee-pictured. Server Kayla P and Hostess Azhanee collaborated as a team and ennsured that my guest was greeted by name and that her valet was already paid upon arrival! GM Melissa L Pacana checked in on us a few times, thereby adding the cherry to the top of this A-1 experience. Special thanks to Server Kayla P for taking super loving care of us-you're a credit to Darden Restaurants, & this Eddie V's in particular.

Look I would've given this place 3 stars, but the customer service and wait time was ridiculous. Hear me out, this is my experience from last Saturday. So first it can be challenging to find this place, since the pier has so many level to it. Look for the elevators. When you get there, for the first time, you see a main line, well for what? Then you see other lines, well for what? Then you see an oyster line, oh. In order to determine what each line is for, you have to do independent research. From whom? Well the employee, who do not show case any form of customer service. There were so many people lost and confused. To break it down, each "Order Here" has their own area of what can be ordered by the pound and/or cooked. So not all lines are equal. There is a crab line, seafood boil/pre-seasoned seafood, oyster, clams, I think I saw fish and fried platters, which was the longest. So after much deliberation, an employee managed to wrangle the customers to form a line. Although his mannerism seems like I'm just done with this place. One might consider ropes to further avoid these mundane confusions... I got Ana's seafood boil mix, $99. It came with a lobster, dungeoness crab, peeled shrimp, clams, sausage and potatoes. The employee told me about 10 mins. I'm like okaaaay, only 10? I walked to their souvenir shop, nothing crazy or must haves. Just cheap Chinese things with their name printed on. I return in 10 minutes. The guy doing prepping/expediting the pick order was in a frantic state. Older white male, white mustache. He was running around, mixing orders up, couldn't even tell what customers had what. The employee that wrangling folks came to help him collect himself. So 10 minutes wait turns to 15, 20, then 30 minutes. I had 2 other employees check up on my order, they said it's not ready. Okay. Finally about 35 minutes it's ready. He didn't even call out my order, I had to wave my ticket. The first rule of speed of service, never over sell the time. If it's gonnabe 30 mins plus, say 40 mins, gimme a bs reason, short handed, etc, I don't care! But why would you tell me it'll be 10 mins?! So finally got the food. Flavor was pretty good. Lobster, was okay. I wished the shrimp had the head on. Clams were big. Sausage was good. Potato seemed like the diced ones from a can, they were so small. The crab, however, is the driest. Yep, for a place that exclaims "Quality Seafood," it was kind've of a let down. They taste like the bottom batch of the crab at Las Vegas buffet. You know the batch that sits on the bottom, they don't ever rotate because the employees don't care. So it's just marinating in its own dry filth. The crab was so dry I could put that in an Advil bottle instead of cotton. So now if you ask me, would I come back? Maybe, just maybe. Anytime soon? Nah, not right now. Also with the mention of a tourist trap, it's no different than Seattle's Pike Place and surroundings.

Sit right back and you'll hear a tale - a tale of a fateful fish! Follow along…read more.. Not much of a seafood fan, I was originally introduced to this fast-casual restaurant location about 15 years ago - agreeing to meet a friend for a meal there because she said they had chicken options. Thankfully, she was a generous person who let me try a bite of her Swai, and I was sold, coming back and bringing my family for meals on the regular. Sadly, as a regular, we noticed the service to be consistently inconsistent - unfriendly staff, uneven delivery of orders from the kitchen to the table (once, my whole family finished their meals before my Swai wrap made it out of the kitchen!) and not-so-clean spaces. We gave them a few chances, but eventually, removed this spot from our rotation. When the Culver City location - which is actually closer - opened, they had a different menu and it seemed our favorite items were no longer on it. So we really didn't visit there, either. And then came 2020, and as we all know, the industry has changed significantly. So... while bouncing around a last minute "let's get dinner, but the rotation feels old," I said to the fam "Let's check the menu and give Fish Grill another try!" And glad we did. The most recent menu updates have fresh and zesty items that also hit as being similar to old favorites. And though Culver City is still closer, we decided to return to El Segundo. Off the top, you could tell the space was clean and actively being kept up with sweeping and table clearing. Two very large screens replace human ordering, though there was a human helper to answer questions, and a backup human cashier to help to expedite the growing line. Brought mom, who 15 years and a lot of technology after first introduction to this location, is 79 and was not comfortable with screen ordering, but knowing a human could help if she comes back without her tech team is helpful. The human also came in handy to answer questions about the menu that were not obvious to answer (what ingredients need to be deleted from the honey citrus bowls so that they are not "spicy"? That would be the Ponzu)... tech aside, ordering was easy. The kitchen was fully staffed on this Friday evening and working hard to keep orders together. We had enough time to get settled at a table and fill our fountain beverages, and our name was called. Yes - you now pick your order up from the counter. But - at least our entire order was ready to go together! The plating of each entree was higher level than most fast casual spots. This was definitely not your sterile Panera white! Bro ordered the Triple Shrimp plate, and really enjoyed the different textures of the shrimp prepared. Mom ordered the fried Swai tacos. Though she enjoyed it, she did comment that there seemed to be more batter than fish in many of her bites. I ordered the Honey Citrus Shrimp and LOVED it! Of course, without the ponzu, it was sweet, and tangy. The shrimp was fried before it was completely coated. I ordered with slightly healthier brown rice and avocado. It was a chef's kiss meal to me. We also ordered a side of garlic toast. Actually, I'm not sure that I would call it toast as it was grilled but soft. It was covered in Parmesan. Though very good, I would have liked it to be more toasty. Very noticeably, the team was generous with requests for extra sauces - you must try the Tartar and Garlic sauces! And a nice touch was that the Raspberry Iced Tea had apparently run out, and when the new brew was in place, the manager walked around to each table to let them know there was fresh tea available if they were interested. The team was busy hustling, but took the time to be friendly. This was the experience that should have been years ago! So, at the moment I'm leaving 3 stars for all these positive points. I'm reserving the last 2 stars to come back and see if this is the new consistency, or if this really delightful visit just happened to be a fluke. And though I do eat a little more seafood now than I was willing to 15 years ago, I actually can't wait to try the Chicken version of the Honey Citrus bowl I enjoyed - and who knows, maybe I'll boldly try it with the (spicy) ponzu!
