Good food. Felt very covid safe on back patio. Super nice service. Seafood fajitas were very tasty and enough for two. $25. We are always worried about too much salt on this type of meal at a Mexican food restaurant, and that was not the case. It was delicious. Margarita was a little small and three added tortillas to fajitas order cost extra. Chips and salsa were delicious. Top tier. We would have appreciated a larger salsa bowl, but they were very gracious in asking us if we wanted more. This is a place we would definitely return to and happy to see them fighting to stay open over all the ridiculous rules being thrown at them regarding closures and curfews, etc. read more

This is a wonderful place in Fallbrook to have a great meal! I ordered what I thought would be a simple black bean quesadilla. It was not the typical saucer looking quesadilla on a plate cut like a pizza. It was a beautifully plated meal! The beer was ice cold and the service was with a smile! The owner "Z" came over to the table to check on us and we had a nice chat. Highly recommend!! read more

We just discovered this gem a couple of months ago. We were impressed from day one and have eaten there in the restaurant or via Door Dash frequently since then. This is by far the best Mexican food I have ever eaten, in particular the chiles relleños. The beans are delicious, whether refried or black/pinto. The guac is fresh and always a generous portion. A place to choose if you are in slow motion, meaning a good restaurant to chill at if you have 3 hours to kill. My second attempt at a Mexican restaurant during my trip out here in California. I told my friend I passed on eating Mexican food in NYC because I knew I'd be in California and I couldn't wait to have some authentic Mexican food. My friend, her family members and I arrived to Mariscos El Pacifico for breakfast and the restaurant was not very busy - probably two other parties and my party of eight which we decided to sit outside (good move on us). Right before sitting down, I made sure to let the waitress, Cidney know that I would like to have my friend and my orders on a separate bill. Cidney acknowledged my request and said okay that would be fine. The other members of the party also had asked for their bills to be separated - she also said she would make sure to separate it. We placed our drinks and food orders and sat around the table enjoying each other's company....but an hour in after our orders, we all looked around wondering where our food was. I double checked the time frame based on my last insta post I made while we were at the restaurant to make sure we weren't exaggerating the wait and it wasn't because we were getting hangry - 50 mins passed since we ordered from Cidney. We look inside the restaurant and there was a huge group of church members (today, it's Sunday) with a sermon speaking to his fellow members. Okay we get it, you are a restaurant that got really busy with a flood of people at once...BUT we arrived way before the sermon and his people and placed our order nearly 50 mins ago. The kids started to complain saying they were hungry. I went up to the front looking to ask where our orders were...luckily the food was coming RIGHT UP after an hour....The food began to arrive slowly and everyone got their meals nearly 5 mins apart from each other ...kind of rude to begin eating when everyone has not been served BUT to be polite you wait so your food gets cold due to slow service ??? I think the purpose of dining at a restaurant with people is to have the experience of enjoying the food with the members around you - I got the huevos rancheros which was good (although I did ask for it over-easy but the yolk was fully cooked). One of the kids asked for her eggs to be hard boiled which initially arrived as fried eggs. It was sent back and returned were "hard boiled eggs"...She went to eat it and the yolk was runny which only left her with two pieces of bacon and a few slices of avocado. Once it came to the bill, cidney presented one large bill and had not separated the bill as we initially requested. We then had to go through the list with her to separate it. I understand you are busy so to avoid any confusion or hassle if you do it in the beginning and separate it makes things easier as asked. To top it off, the parents of the kid had to request the eggs to be removed from their bill which should have been done due to multiple order mistakes. Overall, food was good and filling for some (minus the little girl) BUT the service is terrible and food arrives very slow. Moral of the story is don't go in starving or with high expectations for good service. read more

We stayed local to help businesses in our area during covid..when this place was struggling we were placing phone orders and welling to follow all their rules and guidelines for dine in. We don't have to eat here we can take our $$ elsewhere! Now that they are fully open! They have completely done a 180 on their customer service, very disappointed with the lack of respect and accountability when they neglect waiting customers. We were skipped to be seated, and they seated another couple first. We waited 30mins to place our order Sunday 9-27-2020 while they took other guests orders. When asked why, she never apologize for skipping us, and rather was full of excuses, after we placed the order she than told us it would take a while because they were busy! We walked in with another couple and they were almost done eating while we were still waiting for our order. Our waiters lack of attention and accountability made me get up and cancel the order. We ended up going to Las Brisas and spend our hard earn $$ to a place that values and understands the importance of repeated customer business. I am done supporting this place when they clearly don't need our business. Good food HORRIBLE customer service. Take your $$ to a place that will be appreciative of your business. read more

Absolute NO! Service was terrible(even on a slow night) the drinks are extremely weak, and the mixed ceviche almost made my bf puke on the table due to it's horrid flavor. He said it tasted rotten. Then when we tried to send it back the girl said she had to ask if we were allowed to?.... food finally came out and it was ehhh. Beans & rice were bland and boring. My favorite part was my very normal burrito. We finally had to go find someone to get our bill then they tried charging us for the ceviche we didn't eat(received major attitude when asking for the bill to get corrected) and an additional $1.25 for a TINY amount chipotle sauce..... I don't mind paying extra for sauces but c'mon over a dollar for that?! I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all. The two cheese enchiladas the the Chile Relleno were the most delicious I've ever had. Friends got the lettuce wraps which they raved about, looked amazing. Also tried the carnitas, incredibly delicious all of it. Restaurant was very clean, friendly service, fast seating. They also have all kinds of different flowers and plants growing around the building, including at least one chili plant. No idea how this place doesn't have a solid 5 star rating. This place is more of a 3.5, but I rounded up to 4. We came for lunch on a Friday. When we first walked in it was empty, but by the time we left it was packed! It must be a local lunch hot spot. I had a beef enchilada combo with rice and beans. My hubby had a salad with shredded beef from the low carb menu. My combo was good. With his, the lettuce ended up being soggy and he left disappointed. They seem to be famous for their salsa, but it was a little too heavy on either vinegar or lime juice. There are so many different Mexican restaurants within a mile I would probably try them all first before returning. read more

We have always wanted to try the deep fried avocados, the chicken tortilla soup, and the tacos al pastor. We got there to early. We figured everyplace would be open by 11 AM, but La Caseta opens for lunch at 11:30 AM. There were several other customers waiting outside as we arrived. The host/manager at the time was VERY NICE and invited us inside to wait in the lounge. He said we'd be seated in 15 minutes... and we were. That was nice! First on our table was a bowl of the chicken tortilla soup. It was tasty and had sufficient chicken in it. I would have enjoyed it a bit more had it more cilantro. But the tortilla strips, sometimes stale at other restaurants, were fresh and crispy here. The deep fried avo was a bit of a disappointment. It should have been called "Deep Fried Half of an Avocado." There wasn't enough there to wet the appetite of two. (See photo.) I mean, come on, an avocado only costs them a buck tops! Of lesser importance, the batter was not sticking to the avo. I have had this appetizer before at the Cask and Cleaver before they went out of business. There was plenty of avocado on the plate! Hey! This is Fallbrook, the avocado capital of the world for Pete's sakes! Are we running out of them? The tacos al pastor were scrumptious! Lots of strips of tasty pork. I'd return for them again. I dont usually write reviews. Fallbrook has SO many Hispanic Choices that its flooded . MEPF is a go to. Great NEW Owners , good service , many choices on the menus , Owner will customize for you anything they have and make. Happy Hour choices that are delicious , Flour Chips , Killer Homemade Verde salsa is bomb. They accommodate all with a smile . Friend of mine has been a restaurant owner his whole life and his comment was " so Much Flavor " in everything. Breakfast to Dinners. I went here years ago with the old owners and its a 360. Locals go several times a week. Yes there are many choices in FB but MEPF is top 3 undoubtedly. read more

La Caseta is Americanized, gringo Mexican food. Don't dine here if you want an authentic carnitas street taco. Not gonna happen. This is more of the locals' family style restaurants and has been around for over 20 years. I should know 'cause my parents used to take me here and I'd see my classmates with their families there, too (how embarrassing, especially when you're in that awkward, middle-school age). My classmates would often rave about how good this food was. And obviously by some of the reviews on here, people think it's one of the best Mexican places around here. If you want my honest opinion, I always thought the food was just aiight. Not bad but not that great. But even after I grew out of my middle-school self-consciousness, I still hung out here with my friends during Avocado festivals, for school-night dinners, or for our mini reunions during Spring/Summer breaks in college. The food was and still is reasonably priced and the service has always been relatively good. Which is why I still continue to come here time and again, despite being in my late twenties. If you're someone who likes the dine in experience and not really keen with eating at Robertito's or Adelberto's, you'd probably like it here. I'd like to mention one more thing. There was one guy who was in my graduating class that my friend and I always thought was really cute. Because I'm not sure if he still works there, his name starts with a T and he graduated in 2002. Hi my husband and I went on a golf outing at Pala Mesa Resort and when we were starting out trip back to Thousand Palms we got hungry and a sweet mail lady told us to turn around and go to this super great place to dine yummy food and most of all was Rosealy sorry I know that this is not the correct way to spell your name but its close? My wife and I are big fans of this restaurant. We like to eat here when we visit Fallbrook because the food is fresh and well prepared. Also, their Salsa is really good. If you like to add a little spice to your meal, ask for the Costa Verde sauce or the Habanero sauce. The Costa Verde is exceptional. They also have a nice patio for outdoor seating. read more

I'm happy that we discovered this place since we are pretty new to the area! Service is a little slow but that's ok. Fallbrook seems to be a more slower paced town. Place seems a little outdated. Could use a little refreshing! Anyway, my husband and I ordered margaritas that were very good. They weren't the best but I would get again. We shared the fajitas that had chicken, shrimp, steak and prawns! This dish is enough for 4 people! Very yummy and cooked perfectly! Came with rice and beans and tortillas on the side. I don't remember the name of the mussels on the 1/2 shell were called but OH MAN!!! We will be back for this reason alone. They were smoked or something?! Not quite sure. They had such good flavor and came with some sort of dipping sauce. I wish I had more details about this dish but I did take a picture!!! I want these a thousand times over!!! Please go and try! This is the best Mexican food I've had in Fallbrook! It was so fresh and super flavorful. The grilled chicken had a beautiful grill flavor, the guacamole is ON POINT!!! Also the black beans I ordered were simply perfect, very well seasoned. I have not been this satisfied from a simple meal in a long time. I will 100% be coming back again and again.
