My wife and I came here about 4 pm on a Friday night. The place had several patrons but not busy at all. We were seated i n the dining room and I ordered a Grande house margarita on the rocks. It came in a tall soda glass and the drink had a musty moldy and very stale/old taste to it. I mentioned it to the waiter but he didnt seem interested. For the price I would at least expect it to come in a Margarita glass. I ordered the combination plate. The tostada was a stale store bought corn tortilla that had been warmed up in the microwave to long so it was very tough and chewy. The meat on my tostada tasted old and rather bland. The chili rellanos on my plate were also greasy and stale like they had been cooked days before and just reheated. My wifes dinner was also rather nasty and disgusting. something more like I would expect from a medium grade TV dinner. We will never eat here again. read more

My boyfriend & I ate here on Wednesday night and a few hours later my boyfriend got terribly sick, he was up all night throwing up. We suspected it was food poisoning. In the top 3 of best places to eat in Fallbrook. They serve large portions so order with care. Only complaint I have is they have consistently served me Chili Relleno that was cold on the inside. So I have learned to order something else. Nice bright eating areas. read more

We tried La Caseta tonight. It is a nice clean place, and had a lot of people. We wanted to sit in the bar and watch the World Series, but we were told we could only get appetizers in there. We went into the dinning room. Very good salsa with the chips. The service was okay, but nothing really special. Same with the food, it was okay. We got married at a venue in Fallbrook and needed to find a perfect place for our rehearsal dinner that was in our budget. La Caseta was AWESOME. They reserved the patio for us and it was like we had the entire place to ourselves! They had strung lights and it was great. Our whole family raved about how good the food was! We went to Cabo for our honeymoon and I still think we had better food at La Caseta. I will definitely be going here again the next time I am in the area! read more

I have always loved La Caseta! My favorite dish is the Burrito Verde (smothered in verde sauce and cheese on top...so good). Recently I went for Taco Tuesday for the first time and fed 2 adults for less than the cost of going to Chipotle! We especially loved the Fried Avocado Taco. It sounded like a fun thing to try and were pleasantly surprised to find it was our favorite taco out of the 4 we ordered. Delicious! read more

Great food. We haven't been here since it was La Caseta, and we weren't big fans then. Now the food is very good. Lots of seafood options and everything is very fresh and tasty. Portions are good and prices are reasonable. Drinks are good and they have a nice happy hour selection. The decor and ambience is lacking, but I guess you can't have everything. Wow! Amazing to have authentic Mexican food in Fallbrook. I had Camarones Mojo de Ajo---I thought I was in Baja!! So good! My husband had the Molcajete de Pacifico it was fantastic! I highly recommend this place. My Margarita was great too! The portions are large my kids could have split a quesadilla off the adult menu and have had plenty! Went in for Sunday lunch, the place was empty but quickly began getting full. Was given chips salsa and ordered our drinks (horchata and a coke) quickly. The food was delicious. Did not disappoint it was similar to the one in Vista. We ordered shrimp enchiladas and two fish tacos. I couldn't finish the fish taco because they were big and filled with fish. Delicious. Will be going back soon. The chips were crunchy and warm. The salsa could have been a bit spicier. We took our toddler and she enjoyed the place and the fish tacos with avocado. read more

Don't let the spanish name fool you, this is white bred Mexican food. My El Pastor was previously cooked and arrived luke warm. All the flavors tasted bleh and like every other gringo Mexican-style restaurant. Prices are also a bit on the high side given the quality. The food here is DISGUSTING. Ordered a taco and chile relleno. It was wet - full of water and the sauce on top was brown and dull. It tasted like it had been sitting in water for a while. The taco shell was stale and impossible to chew. Also ordered Pork green chili. It looked dull and horrible green. It tasted OLD and like it had been in the refridgerator uncovered for weeks. The food smelled nasty not appetizing. We didnt finish anything and certainly didnt take the leftovers home. las Caseta was an amazing restaurant. I would avoid this place if you dont want to be ill. OMG this place has the BEST BEST BEST ( I wish i had bigger bolder print to emphasise) Cilatnro Chicken. I want to eat it every night! My mother in law suggested it said it was amazing. So did my father in law. I wanted a chimichanga but went with thier recommendation. I could not stop eating it! The only thing- it is 12.95 on the menu and it rings up at 13.95. Went to La Caseta with family and friends last week. What a surprise to find Chicken Posole' on the daily specials menu. Being a fan of Posole' or Menudo I had to give it a try. Boy am I so glad I did. This was one of the best Chicken Posole' dishes I have ever eaten. (And I have tried many, Pork and Chicken) The flavors were so excellent my wife even ordered a to go order for lunch the next day. I recommend adding a little lime and cilantro to taste. It is also served with a delicious homemade chili sauce for those that like a bit of heat and extra flavor. It is only served as a daily special due to the hours it takes to make properly. I would love to be notified when this is on the menu. I would be there in a Fallbrook minute. As a side note.... The service staff is excellent. My chips and salsa and water were never empty. La Caseta is our very favorite Mexican Restaurant. The service is always GREAT!!!! The servers are friendly and attentive. It is family owned and operated. The owner graduated from Fallbrook High School and gives back to the community in many ways. The food is WONDERFUL and so are the prices!!!!! And we love that they have a senior and a kids' menu. We have friends who come to town occasionally and it is always the place they want to go. read more
