This place right here is a gem for me, when I'm down in SD i always make the drive, the Marlon taco is a must if you have never tried. The area has changed over the years but the food is still authentic, you can't go wrong with the OG fish tacos, el gobernador tacos are my dad tried the shrimp cocktail here and he Approved. He's a retired cook and his specialties are seafood and for him to say is good saids a lot. it's about a 20 minute drive from downtown SD. Service is quick and don't forget to order the consome while you wait. Area is shaded so you don't have to worry about getting sun burned, lots of tables to sit.

Not the same company. Now it is called "Ensenada Baja Seafood". The item pricing is taped off so you don't know how much you're paying for low quality food until you're done ordering. Unfortunately, will not be coming back.

This spot is a little taco truck near an old closed Toys R Us, if you did not know it was there, you can easily miss it. My BF found this place and we stopped by to order a bite to eat on our way to IB for the day. We ordered a marlin quesadilla, shrimp gobanador tacos and a campechano mariscos mix. We split both hanging out near our car in the parking lot. The food was good and fast! Great find.

We used to come here regularly since 2015 but ever since they had new management it was no longer the same. Waiting is now longer because they are not organized. Some of the bad experience under the new management that I've seen: they don't change gloves even when they touch money, or surfaces outside the kitchen/truck, drinks being returned bec. it went bad, incomplete order, delays in order..They should not pass the sanitary inspection from the city. No more happy customers dropping by at anytime of the day.

The Biker taco, it has muscles & Octopus.

Review long overdue been coming here for 15 years & the taste & portions are still the same which is a good thing. Located in Chula Vista in the parking lot of the old Toys R Us.This place has been competing for years against many Food Trucks as CV is very well known for their food trucks. They are one of the original ones & in my opinion still one of the best as far as taste & portions go. They always have people here, when I come I bring my chairs, truck & me & the fam order our food & just chill in the lot sitting in our chairs & sometimes friends meet us there & we drink our beer, eat & just hang out & chat. I've been to almost all the Southbay Marisco trucks & this one has the best chiviche & some of the better cocktails & tacos. They don't hold back in the portions & try to overload it with tomatoes like others do. Love their fish tacos & their Governado taco, my fav is CAMARO A LA DIABLA! Yes I put it in big letters so you guys can get it! That taco is almost better than sex & it can lead to sex because it's a well known fact Marisco/seafood for Mexicans is like Viagra to us, true story ask my wife :) Their consome (fish broth) & seafood cocktails are real good too & their prices are fair on some items. A few problems here are they charge $1 for the consome which most Marisco Trucks don't, not cool. Another problem is the customer service is well kind of rude sometimes. Look I know it's a damn food truck Andy what do you want the red carpet? No but they can be a bit nicer especially the register ladies, they sound like they need a hug. If they had tables that would be cool too, those are not major issues tho. This is still my favorite Marisco Truck in the South Bay & probably San Diego. I've liked others through the years but I've come to enjoy & like this one better then the others even if they charge for the consome, just give me that fish taco & CAMARON A LA DIABLA & I'm there baby!

DELICIOUS! Fish taco food truck in back of old Toys R Us parking lot. Their menu is expansive and their food is tasty. Staff was super nice. The stand up counter to eat at, under tent, was perfect. Recommend, and next time I'm in the area I will be back!

Nothing extraordinary, however it is delicious. Great savory flavors and their side sauces are on point. They compliment the food so well. Portions are good tortillas have a good density to keep it altogether until the last bite. Would I eat here again? You bet!!!

Omg so good. So glad I found Mar Y Tierra!!! Everyone was sooo nice to me even though I had a hard time remembering "sesenta" briefly (when I think in Spanish now, Japanese comes out... it's funny but it's a problem lol) and even though I'm a gringa with a basic order. I just got 1 shrimp & 1 fish taco both with avocado and a jamaica. When I tell you I ate these like I had never eaten food before... Shrimp was incredibly tender and wonderful. The fish was huge, flaky and crispy and juicy. Honestly I ate them so quickly they could've been made of liquid. But they were sooo delicious!! They included extra sauce and the green salsa wasn't too spicy for me which I so appreciate! They also included 2 limes for one of the tacos which made me think someone really loves me today :') I would definitely come back here anytime and try more things on the menu! Very very delicious!! Thank you for the delicious food and taking care of me today!!!

Just a heads up before you go, there is no seating. It's a standing-room-only setup with barrel tables throughout the outdoor space. You order from one of the trucks, find a place to stand, and enjoy your food. The atmosphere felt lively and authentic, making it part of the experience. Service: Service was quick and efficient despite the crowd. There was even someone helping direct parking, which made arriving and finding a spot much easier. Food: The complimentary consommé completely stole the show for me. It was rich, flavorful, and packed with chunks of seafood. Every bite had a deep, savory flavor with just the right amount of spice. It was honestly my favorite thing we tried. We ordered the Gobernador, the Negrita, and fish tacos. The Gobernador was loaded with shrimp and melted cheese, creating the perfect combination of rich, savory seafood flavor. The shrimp tasted incredibly fresh and was cooked perfectly. The Negrita was another standout, piled high with shrimp, sliced avocado, and topped with an oyster that added even more fresh ocean flavor. It was served with tostadas on the side, and every bite was packed with bold seasoning, fresh seafood, and great texture. The fish taco was good and made with fresh ingredients. My bf and I are big foodies and have eaten a lot of fish tacos over the years, so we're probably tougher critics than most. While it wasn't our favorite item of the meal, it was still enjoyable, and the Gobernador and Negrita were the clear standouts for us. While the prices are a little higher, the quality, freshness, and portion sizes help justify it. Overall, this was a great experience from start to finish. Between the flavorful seafood, and generous portions, it's definitely worth coming back again.

After enjoying a cold beer, I asked them to make me the Mushroom and Sausage pizza baked in a red and black wood fire oven. The pizza cost $12. The pizza was quite excellent at many levels. First of all, I was very pleased with the sauce made from organic San Marzano Tomatoes. It was light but provided a great natural mild tomato flavor. I had a great balance between sweet and acidity, both being very subtle. The pizza's sausage is made by the proprietor, Mario M., and let me tell you, he makes some grand sausage. The sausage was lighter than most and not overwhelmed by herbs and seasoning. It did have a small amount of fennel seeds, but no so much that it allowed the natural pork flavor to come through nicely. The mushrooms that came with this pizza were rendered down well from baking and were tender with a good earthy flavor. The Mozzarella was fresh and the pizza came with just the right amount. I was very impressed with the pizza's crust. It was of the thinner variety but held up very well to the pizza's ingredients. Even though it was thin and had a good light crunch, it also had very good texture and where there was some sort of thickness, it had a bit of a chew.
