The freshest shrimp ceviche I have ever had. It didn't smell or taste like seafood. I would ask and pay for more avocado next time since there was 3 small slices. The horchata was not watered down. The fish tacos and carne asada tacos were well seasoned. The fish tacos are not the huge ones but I ordered 2 asada tacos plain, 2 fish tacos and 2 fish taco plates that came with 2 fish tacos rice and beans and my total was 33 and change. This place smacks. Yesterday was hot as bawls and I was craving something refreshing. The ceviche de pescado and camarones is delicious. First time here today. The food was okay. The ceviche was pretty good but besides that the rest had no flavor. Rice and beans were flavorless and they put cabbage and corn in the burrito which threw off the taste. The carne asada had a lot of fat in it and was flavorless as well. The horchata tasted great! The staff was friendly which was a plus. Parking is kind of hard as they were busy but we made it work. Overall just okay. Mariscos El Puerto is one of my favorite spots for fish tacos. Our past visit was on Good Friday. The restaurant was packed to the door. The staff was working so effectiantly and getting orders in a timely manner. My tacos came out hot. The fish was crunchy and delicious. The corn tortillas was fresh and soft. I really like their red sauce and creama. The rice was piping hot and very good. To drink I had the Hortchata, which was refreshing, not too sweet. I find the prices to be fair and affordable. The hubby and I are in the hunt for a good local Mexican restaurant and decided to try this one first. Four stars for the fish tacos, Fresh chips, ambiance and friendly service. The rest was Meh...3 stars maybe. I ordered to go and I assume they make it all fresh because it took a while. The fish tacos were as good as the reviews say and I wasn't even expecting chips made fresh to order!! Hot, thick, crunchy and delicious! The salsa is good but too hot for chips (and I like hot), but good for tacos and burritos. The Sonora taco was okay. The shrimp was cooked perfect but something was a bit salty and I'm just not a fan of flour tortilla tacos. They get soggy. The chicken taco was meh. It was too salty and whenever you cook chicken cut that small it gets dry. So, not my favorite. I ordered a side of rice and beans to try but wasn't a fan of either. The rice is bland (I rarely like restaurant rice cuz mine is better!) and the beans are too mushy. I mean really really mushy. Although they did make a good chip dip. My husband was not a fan of the carne asada burrito (ordered with just meat & beans). It was really large but too salty with not a lot of flavor in the meat other then salt. The beans were too bland. He liked the fish taco best! So, next time we want fish tacos, fresh chips and micheladas (they looked good) we will defiantly stop by. I'm sure we'll check out some other items too. Best shrimp tacos I've had in a long time... They definitely taste like Ensenada, just a lot closer to home... They are still open during this pandemic and are taking precautions...They are offering togo orders and outdoor seating which is limited...When placing Togo orders they only allow 1 person inside at a time...I ordered a shrimp taco and a mix of fish & shrimp... They were both delicious... The batter was light and just right...I have been to this place once before a few years ago and forgot how amazing the food was... I will definitely be coming back more often to try different things on the menu...They have a large variety of items and I'm sure everything is good...I also tried the home made flan and it was ok.. Omg the burrito is a really nice size. I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered it I knew i wanted a really good burrito. That was only objective after looking on yelp for ratings and reviews I said hey why not? It met and surpassed what I thought I wanted. Me and my family have been coming here for years now and have never been so upset like today. The beans tasted bad. Like rotten bad in the fish plate. Next we ordered fish tacos, we love their tacos. Due to a dietary need in my house we ordered one grilled fish taco. JUST ONE. And yet they were all fried and couldn't eat it. Lastly, the bean and cheese burrito, this is usually so delicious and enough to fill up one-two people and today it was all tortilla with like two fingers of beans and cheese just wrapped to look full. The worst part is my mom called to let them know so we can just get replacement food and the cashier answered the phone only willing to solve the fish taco problem not the entire issue. It is spicy for those of us who have a mild spice tolerance but not more than that. My whole family loves this place. My parents go nearly every week bc we live close.
