Drove out here last night since we couldn't eat meat, this place was great before not sure what happened. Maybe new owners. I'm not sure where to start everything was horrible. The food had no flavor. One shrimp each taco. All sour cream and lettuce. Presentation was horrible, Raw tortillas that fall apart. Finally, gave up and threw it all away. Besides the fact it was cold and she charged us double had to wait another 30 mins for her to fix her mistake. The place wasn't clean and disorganized. They only wanted to give me 1 guac if I wanted more they charge like if I don't order a lot of food ? Meat wasn't fully cooked tortilla wasn't either soggy & full of oil. OK we can't say enough about how much we all lived this place! Mariscos La Playita are open late, the woman we met (who we believe to be one of the owners) that took our order and was absolutely lovely, and then the food came out... Wow, so yummy! Every thing was on point! We will definitely return any time we're even close to Lynnwood and try more items off the menu. Also it's good to know in the fall if you love tamales they have another restaurant that specializes in them named TAMALERIA Maria's. There are a few picnic tables and chairs outside under shade. The pick up window is just to the side. I got yelled at by the cook for not realizing the order window was on the other side. Eff, sorry! SERVICE The female server was cordial. The old Spanish-only speaking man cooking was a grouch. Geeze, if y'all would clean it up a bit and have legit signs directing folks that might help. I love burritos. Why because they are convenient and a way to eat something on the go. It's perfectly packaged for a person on the move. This burrito has everything protein ( my favorite al pastor) rice, beans, cheese, and sour cream. The burrito game is elevated by their preparation. They lay the flour tortilla on the grill and put the shredded cheese down so it can melt like a cheese quesadilla. They the fill it with the all fixings. Once rolled into the burrito package is topped with more cheese and avocado slices. Then on the side the best avocado salsa I have tasted in awhile. This has been my taco spot since high school. This is one of my favorite taco joints cuz its always reliable for some good food. Their salsa bar can't get any better cuz its got stuff that goes from mild to spicy as hell. I pile them all on my tacos cuz they make the food even better. Then I can't forget to mention how nice and welcoming the owners are. They're good people. Recently tried their fish tacos and all I can say is that they're up there. The man who was making them told me that when I bite into them I would feel as if I was sitting near a beach in Mazatlan. I drive past this place everyday coming to and from the 710 freeway. It's a small little spot. Brightly painted so you notice it but small enough where you may just pass it off. After speeding past the place during the late night several times and noticing it being open, I decided to make a stop by the next day. I had a weird craving for fish tacos and I seen that another Yelper had ordered them from here so I was sold on that. Four tacos ran me 'bout $8.50. Kind-of steep given that they have $1.00 tacos with SEVERAL meat options but it was small price to pay for a happy tummy. The cashier was SUPER friendly. She was shocked I never been there before and helped me through the menu. I ended up showing her the picture I seen on Yelp and she had my back. She even helped me out with which salsas would be a good choice. The inside is small. No inside seating. They do have a self serve salsa bar, desserts, tons of fresh drinks. I think that tops the size of the joint. Got home with my tacos and was soooo happy. They tasted heavenly. Fried nicely. I probably ask for them to have a little more crisp to them next time.
