I e come here twice since covid as I crave fish tacos every once in awhile. Their Baja style tacos never disappoint and I eat it fresh in their make shift patio al fresco tables. I stopped going here years ago because the quality of the ingredients has gone down even worse than before. The shrimp doesn't have shrimp flavor, basically its just watery pulp. I now frequent mariscos el Jato which is way superior in every way. The shrimp there has like orange highlights and the met is white not translucent the way it is here. My brother who is disabled loves this place for some reason though. He asked me to pick up am order for him so I glady was willing to help him out. As I was leaving to pick it up, he asked me if I could ask for more crackers because he doesn't like them. When I arrived to pick up his order, I noticed they put a tostada in the bag and only two packs of crackers. I figured Id rather let the cashier know that I dont need the tostada so it doesn't go to waste and if I could please have more crackers. The kid stepped away then came back and proceeded to let me know that next time, I should let them know when placing the order instead of waiting until I show up. I had to let him know that I didnt place the order and I was just picking it up. There was nobody in line and one guy who was on the other window picking up his order. Forgive me for making a simple request. These geniuses have forgotten that customers pay the bills and without customers their business would fail. What happened to customer service? F this place, there is no shortage of Mariscos places in LA, as a matter of fact, there is another truck just feet away from this one that is way better. Stopped here the other day after wanting to go for a long time but never finding the truck there. The schedule seems to be somewhat random or at least to what posted schedules I've seen. No matter... I finally saw it there and decided to get a couple of things even though I wasn't hungry. I didn't want to miss the opportunity. They didn't disappoint. The food was excellent. Fresh. And inexpensive. A very well run spot. The ceviche tostada was real good ,as was the fish taco. At $2 each the shrimp tacos and fish tacos are the bomb here! nuff' said! They are parked in front of the library. If you get there right when it opens at 11am you actually might have to wait 10-15 minutes for them to set up the kitchen. But otherwise the waiting time is pretty decent. Bring your own wipes because it can get a bit messy! I've never gotten it to-go so I don't know how the tacos will hold up, but it's fun to have a quick picnic in the car! The truck is usually parked next to the library, but if there's a lot of RVs and cars like today, it might park closer to the Big Saver. You can order ahead by phone, so you don't have to wait as long. Also, they put out stools if you want to eat there. The shrimp tacos are my favorite, it's flavorful enough. The fish tacos, however, I would recommend adding a bit of salt (they give you salt packets). The mixta especial is also really good, it's just like the ceviche, but with octopus, abalone, and imitation crab meat on two tostadas. It's good with some salt, lime, and a bit of hot sauce. The campechana is like a tomato cocktail of seafood. It contains all the same items as the mixta especial, but submerged in a tomato fluid. It also comes with tostadas and crackers. read more

I was told 20mins when I ordered by phone so I went after the 20 minutes, i still had to wait 20 more minutes when I got there. Fish and shrimp tacos are bomb. The batter is not too thick but has a nice crunch to it. Seasoning is on point. Not too much mayo are drenched on like some of the other fish taco places I had. They make it after you order and pay. So when you get the food, it's nice and hot. read more

We stopped by food4less and I decided to call, they said they were going to open in 10 minutes. Did a little grocery, came back and they were there at 11:20 am. THEY DON'T CLOSE EXACT HOURS EITHER We asked and they said they closed depending on when they run out of seafood, which is usually within 4-6 pm. Don't underestimate the fact that this is just a food truck in El Sereno. They don't compromise the quality of their food when they aren't able to get fresh catch for the day. I had the Tostada Mixta Especial and Let me tell you after chasing this truck for many days, IT'S WORTH IT! I have never had seafood taste so fresh. Every bite was perfectly cooked too - nothing too soggy or over marinated. Shrimp, octopus all had a fresh crunch/bite to it. You could see/taste the fish and the surimi were fresh. My boyfriend loved it so much he ordered a campechana to go. I took a sip out of the seafood cocktail too and it was delicious! Like the tostada mixta, the ingredients in the cocktail were fresh. I saw some people order tacos and I believe they cook it to order. Takes a while to get your order, and their hours may be odd but trust me when I say it is worth the wait! A couple of friends and I went during our lunch break. We found parking on the street and walked on over to this food truck. There was a bit of a wait but boy was it worth it! Food is fresh and made to order. The most delicious shrimp ceviche I have ever had! I love that their shrimp is diced up with a dash of tomatoes. They are definitely not cheap of the shrimp. We've been devouring ceviche tostatas recently and so had to come here. Funny thing is, it is so close to South Pasadena (and yet a world away). We usually do eat there, but this last weekend we ordered to go and BOY oh boy, that is the way to go. They pack the stuff really well, the tostada elements are packed separately so the crunchy chip stays crunchy. Also the portions seem overly generous on the to go, hubby got two fish tostadas to me it seemed it was equivalent to three "for here" tostadas. The fish tacos are superb, best eaten there as they are fried so (for me) I want to eat it as soon as possible before it gets cold and/or soggy. I prefer the fish tostadas to the shrimp, the fish is moist and superb, the shrimp tostata is a bit dry to me. I love the shrimp cocktail, the seasonings are just right and fresh (chopped tomato, avocado, cucumber, etc.). Sometimes I get the campechana cocktel just for variety. If you want to eat there you *may* want to bring a camping chair because I've noticed when it gets busy all their little plastic bar stools get taken up. read more

My brother in law put me on to this little food truck and I am sooooo thankful that he did!! So me, bro in law, and the fiancé visited this mobile eatery at his suggestion. At first I was expecting a restaurant or a little hole in the wall place, not a trailer hooked up to a Chevy. There was a crowd around so I thought it must be good. I ordered a fish taco and a mixta especial. The taco was excellent. I wasn't sure what to expect with the mixta especial, or even what all exactly it contains, but he said it was the best thing they sell so I went ahead and ordered it. It was fabuous! It's like a ceviche on a tostada. All of the fish was fresh and delicious. I poured on a few drops of Tapatillo and dug right in! One negative is that it is cash only. Its a hassle for me but one that I am willing to take on to get to this food. Overall 5 stars. I have already been back a couple of times and I will continue to be a regular here. read more
