I absolutely love the interior of the restaurant, very spacious and classy looking. We were a group of four and ordered 6 dishes and that were enough portions for all of us. My favorite dishes: Vietnamese pork rib tips: the meat was tender and just with enough sweet and savory. The rice and veggies were a nice touch to help balance out the flavorful meat. Selection of daily oysters: I am not a big fan of oysters but these were surprisingly great. The size was just right and there were three different sauces. I tried them all and personally I think they were all great. The other dishes rigatoni, and steamed curry mussels. I think they were all fairly tasty. Service was wonderful!!! The waitress for our table was very attentive. Definitely will come again for happy hour or dinner.

Three of us were in the mood for Oysters on the Half Shell and they were so tasty. My wife mentioned that her Hummus was terrific and the Coconut Prawns that we had also were enjoyed. The pork chop was the size of the plate and was seasoned with salt and pepper It was overcooked and dry tasting. The gumbo was cayenne pepper hot not hot sauce hot. The gumbo contained rice, sausage, shrimp and chicken. Save some money and just get the cup. The cup has slightly less volume than the bowl of gumbo The beignets were deep fried powdered sugar squares. Not like Cafe DuMonde soft and fluffy. These were very dense. Service was very good. Its hard to find their parking lot. Come for happy hour drinks

The rice and beans had only a teaspoon of rice and the beans tasted like they were previously frozen. The beignets had way too much sugar on them. Despite claiming to be Louisiana themed, Mexican music was blasting. It was bad Mexican music. Bad marks for servers, food and music. We ended up going to Double D's: We ordered food there to save the evening.

We arrived on a Saturday evening for dinner. The restaurant is located in a nice newer plaza area in Cupertino off the Vallco Parkway close to where Vallco Shopping Mall once stood. Parking is available in the parking garage in the plaza. The restaurant is medium size but maximizes the space efficiently with plenty of booths and tables for dine in. The modern decor is nice and sleek. Whereas the vibe is bustling and welcoming. We ordered the combo of 2 pounds of shrimp with heads on, garlic noodles, and 2 steamed rice. The seafood boil came out in a large silver bowl instead of the usual large clear bag. I found this to be much better in presentation. Everything was so delicious. The captain Loui sauce was so flavorful and sweet. The shrimp were plump and juicy. Garlic noodles were tasty. A couple of saucy yummy corn and potato were found in the bowl which was a good surprise. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Cap't Loui. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The combo options were a great deal. Free Ice cream popsicles for dessert were a nice surprise at the end. We will definitely be back as their seafood boil is one of the better options in the South Bay.

I actually enjoyed it as we got a show being able to watch all the cooking action happen, and we also felt like we had more peace and our own little bubble away from the busier dining area. I came here for the yelp event and I got the Teleferic Sangria and the Barceloneta Sangria. Both had a great presentation and tasted great as well. I preferred the Barceloneta Sangria more for the fruiter flavors. The Patatas Bravas was one of my favorite appetizers of the night! I loved the sauce and texture of the potatoes, and the bowl it came in was super cute. I also tried their Crab Croquetas, Wagyu Empanadas, Brussels, and Iberico Paella. Everything was great! I especially loved the pork belly in the paella. The pork chop was also super flavorful and juicy. Overall, it was a great dish and a great experience that changed my mind about paellas. I tried the Palo Alto location awhile ago and did not enjoy it, so I'm glad this location made all the difference. I would actually go again! We ended the night with the trio selection, and I would say the orange mousse was my favorite of the three. Service was good, even though we were sitting on the side and they were veryyy busy. They still checked up on us throughout the night to make sure our experience was good. The parking lot was full, but there is available parking across the street.

For drinks we had: Barceloneta Sangria - 9/10 sweet, fruity and sparkling, the perfect drink for light drinkers Spicy Sangria - 7/10 reminiscent of a spicy marg, I could really taste the spicy vodka, but still very light, not much flavor aside from the spice For food: Crab croquetas - 9/10 creamy crab filling with a crispy exterior, the tuna was fresh as well Patatas bravos - 7/10 very saucy, crispy cubed potatoes Wagyu empanadas - 8/10 shredded beef inside, very flavorful Pulpo teleferic - 7/10 slight salty and chewy, the potato cream was delish Bruselas - 8/10 crispy Brussels sprouts with a creamy cheese topping Paella negra - 8/10 star of the show, we got the large and it was plenty of food. The rice was soft with a crispy bottom, the seafood was plentiful and the aioli was the perfect accompaniment Overall, it was the perfect place for dinner with the girls or a celebration.

Food: 4.5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4.5 Cost to worth it rating: 3 Opentableable: no but toast tab Return worthiness: yes Eve award: best quality cocktails in taste and presentation Highlights: - Cocktail quality: everything is top notch and fantastic - Cocktail uniqueness: drinks are truly their own creations you can't find elsewhere. Love the creativity. - Fun glassware: for some they have great receptacles to go with the personality of the drink - Theatrical ones: those are the creme de le creme and so much fun. I've had them all. Faves of those: -- Dead men tell no tales: pirate themed comes in a chest you can open and the drinks are in diamond shaped glasses. But it's not just a fun show. The drink is amazing. A smooth, complex, clarified bunch. 5 stars -- Magic carpet one: when they had that it was one of my faves I'd order regularly. 5 stars -- Rinse and repeat: one of their classics which comes in a bathtub complete with foam and a rubber duckie. Refreshing and not sweet. 4.5 stars - New for the summer. Tried a few -- Bear necessities: little honey bear with cantaloupe, white miso, and sauvignon blanc. Quite delicious and summery. 4.5 -- Open container: artsy clear version of a paper bag. Interesting ingredient mix with Havana club rum, fermented pineapple, almond milk, and others. Little bit sweet. 4 stars - Their now more standard drinks are still some of the ones I still rely one. Faves of those: -- Studio 54: vodka based with lemongrass and bubbles served in a shiny colored disco ball glass 5 stars -- Man and his mule: peppercorn version of a mule and love the peppery kick. 4.5 stars -- Grand larceny: punch of a spirit forward cocktail my husband loves. 4.5 stars - Rotate out cocktails ever so often to maximize the fun - Halloween and Christmas they go all out with their unique menus and decor: no generic national pop ups for them and I look forward to it every year. - Food items: high quality as well. Some of my go tos -- Crab toasts: 4 little pieces of lovely toast with a dollop of avocado mousse and a heap of dungenous crab topped with lemon beurre blanc. My fave snack I always have to get. 5+ stars -- Grilled cheese: wonderful combo of white cheddar, monterey jack, and provolone with a bit of truffle flavor--not too much--on a nice fluffy roll. Served with soup to dip it in--often times a nice tomato. 4.75 stars -- French dip: solid version on the same type of roll. 4.5 stars - Can make reservations now online which makes it a lot more convenient - Wines: have a fabulous wine by the glass list but I can't ever pull myself away from the cocktails - Bourbon/whiskey: have a stellar collection and knowledgeable staff to tell you about them (but again never get to it) - Staff: friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable - Atmosphere: relaxed yet fun Midlights: - They used to have a nice nut mix I enjoyed but not on the menu anymore Lowlights: - Books up for the holidays so grab those reservations when you can

I had a Sicilian coworker who was passionate about Sicilian food. Unfortunately the food here lacked passion. It failed to deliver for us.
