We found Tacos Molina on Yelp when looking for a new taco spot to try in the area! The tacos and burritos looked too good to pass up on the photos. It's located in a parking lot right by the Whole Foods on Almaden Expy. Upon arriving, we were greeted warmly by a woman who gave a brief rundown of the menu and how to order. They accepted Zelle as a payment method which was a plus! We ordered a variety of tacos and one burrito and only waited about 10-15 min for our order. I was surprised to see how many people were there esp for a late night weekday dinner so the short wait for our food was appreciated! Onto the tacos ($4 ea): I tried the al pastor, carne asada, and lengua. The pastor was DELICIOUS and marinated perfectly. The carne asada didn't hit as much as the pastor did, but the lengua was also good too. They're generous with the meats here which was nice! I liked that everything was priced fairly especially considering how expensive things have been getting. The service was great so will definitely be finding myself back :) read more

I don't know what it is about food trucks, I just like them. Something about not having to go inside and being able to quickly jump out and leave really appeals to me. Tacos Molina, at least when I went, was set up in the parking lot of a car parts store. It's visible from Blossom Hill and parking isn't terrible, although if it was really busy I could see the lot getting full. I went pretty late at night though, so there were only 2 other customers in the whole time I was there. I ordered a burrito and two tacos, because I have trouble saying no to Mexican food. The burrito had cabeza, and the tacos had tripas and lengua. Surprisingly, tripas were the star. Delicious without any gaminess and a wonderful texture, if you haven't tried this you're missing out. Also, don't forget to try all their delicious salsas. The verde and naranjo were my favorites. The downside of Tacos Molina is, of course, the price. $14 for a burrito and $4 per taco. The prices do include tax, but still, I paid $22 for my meal, and I think $16 would be a more value-appropriate price. Service I was immediately greeted by a very kind lady when I arrived, which set a great tone right away. She took our order efficiently, and the wait time was only about 4 to 5 minutes before our food was ready. We also asked for an extra order of tacos to go, and she was thoughtful enough to keep them warm inside the truck until we were ready to leave. The service felt attentive and genuinely caring. Food I ordered the pastor and buche tacos, and they were incredibly flavorful. Each order came with a bean taco, grilled onions, jalapeños, radishes, and lime, which was a great touch. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. There were salsa bottles available to grab so we could add as much as we wanted ourselves. Every bite was satisfying, and the tacos really stood out. Ambiance It is a classic taco stand setup. There is very limited seating, but we ate outside by the truck and were still comfortable. Our go to burrito place was closed so my husband suggested trying Tacos Molina since we were in the area. And honestly, I think this might be our new favorite spot for burritos! I did not expect to enjoy my burrito as much as I did. It was the perfect size, filled with generous amount of flavorful meat and the tortilla was lightly seared. What set this burrito apart from other burritos is the melted slightly crispy cheese on the inside wrapping all the deliciousness together. So they melt the cheese first, slap on the tortilla, and then added all the ingredients on top of the cheese side, wrapped it up and seared it on the outside for finishing touches. This just add so much more flavor to the burrito. The only complaint is their sauces, the orange one was too sweet and the green one was too bland. This will be our new go to spot for burritos even tho it's 25 minutes away from where we live. It's worth the drive! read more

I have good news and bad news. The good news is that the food here is the best EVER!! Everything is amazing! My favorite is the Mulita with Al Pastor - a corn quesadilla, grilled to perfection. The serve it with caramelized onions and fire roasted jalapeño, and even give you a tortilla with refried beans. I don't eat beef. My friend and I ordered together -- 1 beef and 1 chicken. They explicitly told me and put my burrito in a bag that was labeled chicken. Imagine my surprise when I bit into and found beef. Very very disappointing. Burrito itself was good, but definitely a smaller burrito than I am used to and much less filling. I expected so much more. I didn't think this was worth it compared to other burritos I have had. Also, when we asked for extra salsa we were met with a bit of resistance? This place is a hidden gem off Blossom Hill rd shopping center where the Whole Foods is located. Went here around 9 pm on Wednesday and there was a bit of a line and I see why. I ordered 2 carne asada tacos and a asada super burrito. The tacos were cooked just right especially the tortillas. The burrito was crispy and was delicious. For those that are wondering, yes they are bilingual, and they take cash, Venmo, and Zelle. Drinks: during my visit I didn't order a drink but they do offer Mexican Coca-cola and Sprite, along with the Fresca. Food: They offer Tacos, quesadilla, burritos, torta, Mulita, and Taaquito. Meats available are carne asada, lengua, pollo, chorizo, and Pastor. Today's visit we order a burrito lengua and burrito carne asada. The burritos had flavor but they were missing something that prevents me for putting 5 stars. The orange sauce was fire, but I needed a ton of orange sauce for me to complete my burrito. The size of the burrito were mid, which is someone disappointing from someone who hangs out in downtown and East Side San Jose. I've kept hearing that this good truck is better than most of the Mexican restaurants in SSJ, so we had to give it a shot. My wife and I kept it simpl for our first time here, just two Super Carne Asada Burritos to go. While we waited for our food the lady who took our order gave us a cup of birria consume to get the night chill off. Wow, that was delicious, probably the best I've tasted in this area. We will definitely be ordering a few Quesabirrias on our next visit. The burrito was grilled to perfection, filled with deliciously prepared asada, with just enough rice and beans. The food was really good quality, lots of meat, tasted authentic, and good portions for the price. Sauces were also good with a mild kick. I appreciate when places provide extras like this place does with the extra onions, radish, jalapeños, and bean tacos. Consommé was really good too. Didn't wait too long for my order and it was convenient that I could pay with card, some taco trucks are cash only which can be difficult. Hands down best tacos in SJ. Food was phenomenal--got the carne asada quesabirria with consume, lengua taco, and al pastor taco. Carne asada was a bit on the chewier side but still delicious. Lengua and al pastor were to die for. Workers were so kind and sweet. They still needed 10 min to set up when we got there (Yelp says 6pm opening but I think it should be 6:30?) so we got back in our car to wait and one of the workers came to flag us down when they opened! Also offered us consume for our quesabirrias which I used with all my tacos ofc. Ambiance is typical for a cart/outdoor set up. They have a tent with tables and chairs under so you're shaded. I was looking around for a taco truck late at night and ended up making my way over here. It's a taco stand set up in the parking lot. Service was fast and the lady was nice. The tacos were all cheap too, iirc, about 3 bucks each. So the tacos were all really good. The meats were all juicy. I really liked the pastor but I'm always partial to lengua. Oh man.. finally able to come back tonight and we had a blast. All the staff are soo kind and their tripa tacos are my favorite one after trying 2 other spots in SJ and 1 in Hayward. Tonight, we got 6 tripa tacos which came with 2 comp bean tacos + 2 pineapple drinks.. and it was amazing! We saw others eating consome soup and we asked the workers if we could try. My new favorite late night taco spot. I've been coming here every week after hitting the gym and it is consistently amazing. I always get their al pastor tacos, they're asada tacos and quesabirria is good too but nothing beats a good al pastor taco for me. They always add grilled onions on the side (super good) and a small bean taco. All their sauces are spicy and great. They're always very nice and friendly. It's a small family run stand and they always check up on you to make sure you're doing good. They sadly only can have two tables out so you might not get a seat if you're hoping to eat there. Have always been curious about this spot, and finally got to try it. Nestled in the auto store parking lot, they have a small set up with coolers, grills, and a couple of tables under a canopy. We ordered asada and al pastor tacos, along with a chicken quesadilla and asada burrito. I also got the melon drink. The very kind lady at the front took our order quickly, and our food was ready in 10. She made sure we had all the salsas to try, and we took our food to go. The melon drink was a good amount of sweet, and so refreshing with this hot weather we've been having. Tacos were delicious, full of flavor with a ton of filling, and a good helping of cilantro and onions on top. Loved that our plates also came with more onions and radishes! The quesadilla was huge and was stuffed with chicken; it was perfection. Slightly crispy on the outside, and full filling with each bite. Of the four salsas, the orange was my favorite! My partner enjoyed a carne asada quesadilla and I had 5 tacos Al pastor. Meat seared to perfection and was so tender and juicy. No exaggeration! My tacos had yummy caramelized onions on the center and they added a baby fried bean taco in the middle. The plate literally looked so beautiful and tasted even better. People in line chattering about how they came back from the day or night before and I understood why! Workers are very friendly and accommodating and they were telling us they've been at that location for about 2-3 years.
