came here for lunch for a co-worker's bday..the food is YUMMY..i guess this is a chain..(i'm asian so i know this through coworker insight)..its a little hole-in-the-wall sort of place..and their menu has everything seafood mexican style.. i got garlic shrimp..delicious! a coworker got a whole fried fish!?! O_O..it was huge and she's little, but she ate the whole thing like a starved man!..lol..another got this type of dish with avocados and seafood in it..and another got this famous shrimp dish..which was to die for..sorry i don't know what it's called (i wish i had gotten that!).. the rice and beans are super yummy..but the service is soooo SLOW..we waited over 30 minutes for 5 plates..2 of which didn't have to be cooked..-__- yay on the food if u have time to wait for it.. read more

This location has the best camarones a la diabla I've ever tasted. The sauce is spicy but it wasn't extremely or overly hot. Their garlic rice and beans that comes with it are also amazing! Comes with some salad too. Tomato slice in the salad was cut a bit too thick though. Service is great also, no complaints there. Food was brought out 10 minutes after placing the order, which I thought was a reasonable time since this place was full. The place was clean and had music playing while we ate. Parking lot needs to be redone but I was able to find a parking spot without any issues. For a drink, I ordered an horchata and it tasted perfect. read more

This place used to be really good. Had not been here for awhile now I remember why. I ordered a tostada mixta, when it came it was piled high with imitation crab that had a foul smell, like 5 pieces of octopus, some tiny pieces of cooked shrimp, and supposedly somewhere under all that fake crab was some fish. Some of the food here is good. The only problem i have is that. They got too lazy in their shrimp tostadas. If theres shrimp left over from the day before, thats what they serve you. Left over shrimp tostadas. And the shrimp taste nasty. For the last couple weeks we have been getting left over shrimp. Even when its like 7pm. The shrimp still taste like its a day or two old. I finally stopped ordering shrimp tostadas because you dont know what your gonna get. If fresh shrimp or left over nasty shrimp. I usually go to the La Puente location, but decided to try this one out since we were way closer to this one. First impression was that this place was old, empty and had a weird moldy smell when we walked in. I looked past that since the place looked pretty clean. The decor needs some serious updating, but food was pretty decent. My only complaint is that the salsa and our usual plate (filete sarandeado) needed more salt, but that was a easy fix. Overall not bad, but I would definitely make the drive to the other location instead next time. read more

Went in after last being there over 7 years ago. Place still has a good atmosphere to it. Placed a order togo for some shrimp ceviche. It was ready within a couple of minutes and I was on my way. The ceviche was for a family BBQ and it was a huge hit. So delicious. Give it a try. (I personally eat the ceviche with Nacho Cheese Doritos rather then the tostadas.) read more

This review is based on customer service. The older lady there is always big a grumpy mood. If she does't like working there why even be there? Today as I was eating there. I over heard a conversation a disappointed customer and guess who she was complaining about? Yes, you guess it the older lady finally some one that finally puts a complain on her there fore the reason why I am here today making this complain. The food is always on point never have a complaint about the food that is the reason we come to this one versus the one closer by my house (La Puente) yes it's funny even though same owners for some reason their food is not as good as this location (Baldwin Park). As a customer you should have better servers people that enjoy being here and not always on a bad mood. Maybe it is time for her retirement I don't know. But seriously you could do better in your servers we want to be treated good or at least with a better attitude than the one she always has. Thanks to that lady I finally am here to put a review. Oh my goodness. Bomb food. Very pricey but delicious. The rice and beans are on point (I'm very picky with my frijoles) but this place has them down. Sometimes there are live bands that go around asking if you want music played.. It's cool when other people pay for it around you, but the part where they come up to you is annoying cuz they do it as you're getting down on your food. i love love loooove this place! the food and pricing here is so good its packed on a DAILY BASIS!! i dont mind the wait though its only two servers in the whole store :) my drink is never fully empty before i get a refill. i strongly recommend any one of their tostadas a big portion for less than $5 and all it takes is one to get full. read more

We usually come here to eat and there is always a wait which today was not much of a wait which I ask the one of the waitress if I could order the fish meanwhile we wait she said there's not many orders ahead so it won't take a while anyways the waitress sat us in a table and still waited another good 20 min before the waitress that was going to take our order come to the table her name is rocio , we order the fish and she said it would be 35min before it would come I said okay that's fine we order meanwhile a tostada de Cameron and chicken nuggets for my baby, she brought the chicken nuggets but my tostada never got there she brought the fish but never the tostada and she did write the order down. When it was time for the bill she mention the tostada but never apologize that didn't bring the tostada. Rocio should pay more attention to what she's doing and also that's way the first waitress should have let us order the fish since it still took long and apologize since we do wait for a long time and pay for service as well for the food that we eat.
