I don't really like it that they seat me by the speaker and a lady was singing so loud that I was very upset. I move out to another table away from the speaker but the singing was super loud. I love a good mixture of ceviche and one of my girlfriends recommended this place. San Juan is known for their seafood dishes so my husband and I decided to pay a visit. Everything on the menu is seafood based -- ranging from Shrimp Tacos to Whole Fish plates, and even oysters! I ordered the mixed seafood ceviche which had some crab, octopus, and whole shrimp. It was perfectly seasoned with the right amount of tomatoes and avocado. My husband ordered the whole fish plate (there are two different fishes to choose from) which came with some salad, rice, and tortillas. The fish was extra crispy on the outside and was rich in flavor in the inside. We both agreed our plates were really worth noting for freshness and taste. There's a jukebox for music in which patrons can select their favorite jams. Our server was attentive and very polite. I'm only deducting one star from this review because the corridor walking up to the front door is very filthy and smells horrible (maybe sewage problem?). Well I pointed to a picture Becuz I wanted tilapia. But when it came I had a head on it and it was looking at me. WHA. WHAT?!?! The waitress asked me if everything was ok. To drink I ordered the Agua de Jamaica (one of my favorites) refreshing for this heatwave! At $5 per plate of four, these deep-fried corn tortilla tacos are filled with meaty shrimp and served with fresh avocado slices (on the side). I like to eat those also with the complimentary tostadas and lime. I recently had the Coctel de Camaron y Pulpo which was very refreshing. Again the shrimp were huge and the octopus was meaty. I ordered Camarones ala Diabla (10$) and my bf ordered a whole fried fish (10$). The shrimp were quite spicy and served with a mushy rice and small salad. They were good but not great. My boyfriends fried fish was realllly fried... to a crisp. Apparently the point to this is to be able to pull the meat off the bone and eat it like you would pork rinds. No, I'm not kidding. It was decent to taste but the idea of all that deep fried grease was weird. I also ordered a tostada de ceviche and it... was really good. Funny that it's the item I liked best and it was only 2$. The restaurant was PACKED and it was a much bigger restaurant than it appears from the street. My coworker brought me to this place and now I know where to satisfy my ceviche cravings! I usually get the tostada mixta (I think that's how it's spelled) which is one taco shell stacked with tons of ceviche, avocado, shrimp, and octopus. You can also get it with just avocado, just shrimp, or just octopus but mixta is all three. It looks small in the picture but one was really filling since they give you so much food. They give you free taco shells too so you can make multiple with your order. And there's a bunch of different hot sauces on the table that you can try! Also tried the oysters here which is very decently priced. You can get half a dozen for only $5.50 and a dozen for maybe $10 or $11? His words when we left were, "that place disappointed me". It's rare when the parking gets full since it's a small parking lot. The chairs and table need to be changed out completely because of how outdated they are. The waitress that helped us had an attitude. I enjoy ordering the mixed plate to make my own tostadas. Fast service. Some of my friends recommend their shrimp cocktail, but I wouldn't know because I've never ordered it. (My mom's looks way better, so I've never ordered it just to avoid disappointment) Here's the cons: I'll sadly admit there's a couple people I've taken that don't really care for the shrimp tacos.
