This place serves authentic seafood classico from Sinaloa, Mexico. Quality of the seafood is excellent and if you're looking for top quality aguachile in town, look no further than this hidden (not so hidden) local's favorite spot. Restaurant is located within a quiet mall by Artesia Blvd & California Ave Ambiance is a hole in a wall vibe but authentic Mexican. Must try: 1. Augachile Verde - 10/10 2 Mojarra- 10/10 It's a family owned serving amazing food for the locals for many years. Service is amazing. Only thing to keep in mind is their cash only establishment.

I love to get the Molcajete, the mix of the scallops, octopus, shrimp(raw & cooked) with the chile, ahh so good & perfect on a hot day! It comes with tostadas, chile negro & some type of mayo, it all comes together so so good!! The Mojarra Frito is always cooked to perfection! I love the side of chile/lemon jugo that comes on the side with it, goes so perfectly. The bottles sodas of course is the cherry on top!! ***Cash only fyi.

Man! This little place has the freshest mariscos I've had in a while. The make thier michilada mix from scratch from actual shrimp broth! So freaking good. I had to get me some oysters and themed me a magnifico that came with cooked shrimp raw shrimp and callo dr hache (gaiby scallops) in some house hot sauce. I'm so impressed!

I ordered the Aguachiles Verdes and it was very delicious. I love how acidic and spicy it is. The owner was so nice. She gave me a free water bottle upon requesting water.

Ceviche with Avocado (not showing full tostada, this was what I set aside for my meal)

Tried this place based on a craving for ceviche and the rave reviews that it has online. I may have found my new ceviche spot!! Went in to pick up a "tostada" and came out with a large bowl of ceviche that was plenty to eat in one sitting + leftovers for the next day. The ceviche was really tasty and not overly done with lemon. Will return!

This place is so underrated. We randomly stopped by as we were craving mariscos and wow! Did not disappoint whatsoever. We had the Jaiva with shrimp and the ceviche de camarón so delicious!!! coming back again! The service was great, very nice waitress. The place doesn't have the prettiest setting lol but the food was amazing and totally worth it to try! Great music just wished they accepted card/zelle. This was cash only very reasonable prices for the plates

The sauce in the bag felt a bit... watered down like it went for a swim before meeting the seafood. For a party of four, we ordered: SHRIMP LOVER COMBO, LOBSTER ROLL, SIDE OF RICE, BASKET OF SEASONED FRIES, AND MAD DOG XXX SAUCE on the side. Portion-wise, we left comfortably full and only slightly questioning our life choices. The Shrimp Lover Combo can't be modified. We chose Stinkin' Special and Spicy, which came with a plastic glove so you can dig in like a civilized gremlin. The Stinkin' Special was a generous blasts of Old Bay and enough garlic to ward off vampires. The Mad Dog sauce wasn't shock-your-soul spicy, but it definitely lingered. I was still feeling its friendly burn hours later and well into the evening. The LOBSTER ROLLL was tasty but fleeting. It's one of those dishes that makes you realize the meal is almost over right when you're hitting peak satisfaction. A little emotional damage there. We wrapped it all up with deep-fried Oreos and ice cream, which was an instant win. Sweet, cooling relief after all that heat. Tip: Sign up to their text newsletter at the restaurant and enjoy a free basket of fries. BTW, their website is down. :(

The drinks are fantastic, the ambiance is beautiful, and the staff is friendly, attentive, and provides excellent service. I came here salivating with such a craving after browsing Yelp for a great place to eat, which I…read moreusually do when I'm searching for something new to try. I came here for seafood, specifically their Oyster Rockefeller, because I haven't had it in decades. It's one of my all-time favorite dishes, along with foie gras, bone marrow, head cheese, suckling pig, and more. I was happily surprised to discover it's located across the street from my favorite studio, Mr. Inkwell's Classic Tattoo & Piercing. I guess I didn't pay close attention when I mapped out directions--a real downside of relying on GPS these days. I remember when I used to memorize streets, locations, and directions every time I visited a new place or traveled. Anyway, I digress. The place is fancy and spacious, with a market out front, divided into three or four sections: the bar stools right in front of the bar, the bar seating area, the main dining space, and an enclosed patio. The employees all looked experienced and mature, like they had been there for more than a decade. The three hostesses at the front were younger. After looking at the menu, I decided to start with their peach puff pastry topped with vanilla bean ice cream. When a dessert catches my eye, I often prefer to indulge in it first because I might be full afterward. It didn't disappoint. I took my time, savoring every bite. The freshly cut peaches had a nice bite, while the puff pastry was crunchy and flaky, with its very tasty cream. The vanilla bean ice cream was simply delightful. After finishing, I didn't want to spoil the high from such an amazing dessert, so I decided to take the oysters home. It's half a dozen. Presentation-wise, they're a bit underwhelming compared to previous ones I've had. And just so you know, I used to work part-time as a server at an upscale American restaurant at the top of a fancy old hotel in Long Beach, at a well-known authentic Italian pizza place in San Diego, at a small Korean bar in Torrance, at a family-owned Filipino restaurant, and at a Japanese fast-food chain, among others. Even with a full-time 8-5 corporate job, I still worked part-time as a server, dining host, and karaoke hostess. My three favorite pastimes are enjoying delicious food, meeting new people, and discovering new adventures. To continue, my biggest disappointment was that two of the six Oyster Rockefellers didn't contain any oysters at all! It's baffling how that could happen. Usually, Oyster Rockefeller looks bulky with build-up depth from the spinach, cheese, butter, and seasonings on top of the oysters themselves. But these looked dull and bland with a plain flat top. They also weren't that hot. It wasn't really appetizing. Two of them only had the adductor muscle (that round, fleshy part attached to the shell), which I actually love, by the way. So you see, I couldn't be mistaken, as I slurped the oysters only to taste the spinach, cheese, butter, and the little bitty meat muscle I had to scrape a little off the shell with a fork. There were definitely no chewy, soft, and tasty oysters. I hope it was just a simple mishap, especially for an upscale restaurant known for its seafood dishes. Hopefully, a member of management sees and reads this review and takes corrective action to ensure this never happens again. Please note that the usual price for great-tasting Oysters Rockefeller at a well-established restaurant is $30. This place charges $25, which makes me think twice. But then again, some of its dishes are priced a few dollars lower than most, except for the dessert, which costs a few dollars more at $15. However, I still enjoyed it so much that it doesn't matter to me. In life, there are always pros and cons when it comes to overall preferences. It is always up to you to try things yourself and not rely on someone else's opinion, which might prevent you from discovering new things. That said, I am willing to come back to try other dishes that look equally scrumptious and reasonably priced: Toodle-loo, my darling readers. Until next time.
