I had to use them again to touch up my couch because they did such a good job last time! I also had them clean my carpets this time. Bruce did a great job! He was polite, kind and very thorough! I am very pleased with the results. He was here on time and did the carpet and couch in about 2 hours. The carpet was almost dry in about 4 hours and completely dry in about 7 hours. This the worse job of carpet cleaning I ever had!!! First of all , I wanted an estimate only. Just my den needed cleaning. Last cleaning of den was last year. When he arrived, instead of quoting me a price. He right away unloaded his work gear. I said I wanted a quote first. He said he will show me first what his machine can do. He quoted me $125 for the carpet cleaning and $ 150 for the furniture which I misunderstood to mean $150 for carpet cleaning and furniture. He didn't move the furniture - the only couch and one filing cabinet. Look at the difference between his work and last years work. Last year is definitely whiter and cleaner. He didn't clean at the back of the TV and the cabinet. And when I called to complain the man on the phone didn't take me seriously. TL;DR this is a heck of a rollercoaster with a somewhat satisfying conclusion. Read below for details of the entire story! --- Buckle in, this one's gonna be long! I called to ask if they could clean up pet "accidents" on upholstery. They said they'd come out and take a look, and said it was no problem and they could do it for $250 (including optional Scotchgard). After the shampoo dried, I could still smell the mess very strongly, so called back and they rescheduled a new appointment to come fix it. Appointment time came and went and no one showed up. I had to call back the next day and this time I requested a refund; the guy who answered the phone said only the owners could approve that so he'd let them know. A week passed, nothing. I called back, got the same response. Two weeks after I initially requested a refund, I called my bank and organized a charge back which came to me immediately. I expected Mark It Clean to call when they saw the charge, but nothing. I was annoyed at the lack of customer service, but put it out of mind. Fast forward several months later, when these guys had the sheer gall to send me a Christmas card with dogs on it claiming to clean up animal messes. It was just insulting honestly, and I called to have my address removed from their mailing list. The customer service rep who answered the phone -- and I should note, they have all been lovely and as helpful as they could be -- asked if she could schedule one last attempt to fix it. I told her she was welcome to try if she really wanted, but I wouldn't hold my breath. She said she'd call me back in an hour. Three hours later I got a phonecall from a different rep, asking if I was Scott (could have been a different name, but that's not so important). I said no, I was Kae. She said something along the lines of, "Oh. Yeah. Well we'll call you back later, we're still looking into it." Guess what I never got? That's right, a call back. Three days later I called them to once again make sure my address had been removed from the mailing list. Once again, the rep insisted they wanted to fix the mistake. I said fine, do what you want, but PLEASE remove my address from your mailing list. Two months later, unsurprisingly they have never shown up to try again, have never called me back and I am absolutely disgusted with how poorly this company is run. --- Edit 1: Ten minutes after I left this review, I got a call from Manny. He was shocked and said he hadn't been told any of this and it was the first he'd heard of my complaints. We discussed the whole case and it looks like the two guys who came to my place were likely the two who were fired a while back because of numerous complaints against them. Ultimately Manny and I have agreed that he'll come out personally and try his best to fix the chair for free. No guarantees, but I appreciate that he's willing to try and make things right. Obviously there's some kind of hole in the way problems are reported because the owner should definitely be hearing about unhappy customers. I've upped my stars because Manny was polite, friendly and genuinely sounded horrified at how I was treated. I'd like to give Mark It Clean the benefit of the doubt and assume I fell through the cracks here. I'll update again after we've assessed the situation! --- Edit 2: I won't go into detail here, but someone working in admin at that office is half-assing their job because they continually misdialed my number (and added it to someone else's account, which is why I got a call asking for Scott way back when) and I ended up having to call Manny personally to set up an appointment. When Manny made it over to my place he did a thorough cleaning with special chemicals, and even gave me a small amount that I can use as a touch-up later. Two days later I checked and the chair is MUCH cleaner, a totally different result from the last failed attempt by the last two guys. After this, I'm inclined to believe Manny when he says the other guys were fired for poor work and that they basically lied to me and didn't care. I'm still not 100% impressed with the office team, but Manny himself worked really hard to regain my trust and I appreciate his diligence and politeness through this ordeal. read more

The guy who did the job alone this time round was nice and friendly. However, I was left with a trail of water all the way down my front door as he left with the machines. Unfortunately, my experience with Manny was different from all these 5 star Yelp reviews. Although, my boyfriend already made a review I thought I'd share my side as well. We've been shopping around for a carpet cleaning company for quite some time now. I knew the risk and that many would up sell because they did this and did that blah blah blah. So when my boyfriend called in and asked questions about the Yelp deal we were assured that it was legit and we'd be able to use it so we set up the appointment. On the day of the appointment my boyfriend was at work and I stayed home for the cleaning. Manny called me to let me know he'll be late and I appreciated that. When he got to the complex he asked about the parking situation and gave me the vibe that it might be an issue. He came to my unit and measured what was to be cleaned. He came up with an estimate of $240 I believe which was far more from the $75 we were told. Only about half of the apartment is carpet and we left the big furnitures like couches, bed, and dressers as is so it's really not much to clean! Definitely not $240+ worth and that was just an estimate! I can only imagine how much more it would have been after the job was done! So then came the explanation of how he would have to charge us an additional $50 since they would have to carry their equipment from the lot to our unit. He said it was 10 min each way which is definitely not true, I obviously walk it all the time and it takes me at most three minutes! He explained that time is money.. Soooo you get paid $25 per 10 min to bring your equipment from your van to the your job site?! Well damn I should get in the carpet cleaning business if that's the case!! The next thing was that he was going to use a different system to remove the dirt and stain off the carpet which was the rest of the additional cost! He talked to my boyfriend over the phone and gave him the explanation. My boyfriend wasn't happy about any of it and Manny refused to do the job at the price we were given so he left! In conclusion, this business proved my skepticism about hiring carpet cleaners. I wish they would just ask the questions over the phone like "do you have pet stains?" or "how far is the unit from the parking lot?" So that nobody's time is wasted! Now I'm left with a dirty carpet and furniture that I moved for this purpose! It's really upsetting to be told one thing and then when it's time to do the job you're told another! You need to either communicate with your staff better or don't offer a deal that doesn't exist! read more

Really bad customer service on behalf of manny. Promised a refund and never came through with the refund or a return phone call. I didn't want a refund, I only wanted them to come back and mark it clean but instead manny said since I got a discount of paying $175 for two couches and $25 for a 5x7 rug they would not be able to guarantee the results, basically saying unless you pay full price they will just do a fast sloppy job. Couches and rug were wet all day long and dried with stains still showing on both couches and rug. I did a better job myself a few months ago using the rug doctor rental service. While i was waiting for a return call from Markit to confirm a time they can arrive on such short notice, i booked another company that quickly confirmed they can arrive in an hour. Wow..can you say messy...so the gentleman shows up, don't know name and no card, he tells me two different prices, I explain the problem, he says the deep cleaning is the best solution, so I proceed with the cleaning, as he was cleaning my floor was so wet, he asked me for a towel to clean it up, thank god I do not have carpet in that room. He was on the phone the whole time, and then about 20 min later he tells me he is done, and wants 275, my floor still wet, I go get another towel and start cleaning up water, when he then says I can do it, the takes the payment and leaves. With four animals, two humans and two micro suede couches that are three years old, my furniture was in desperate need of some TLC.
