Each time I attempted to seek some form of pain relief from her, Dr. Lianna simply charged my insurance for the follow-up visits and the pain was left unchanged and untreated. After 2 years of many visits to root canal specialists and other pain doctors in a quest to find the core reason of the pains, I was convinced and told by other dentists that the crowns were simply not fitted well enough marginally, which resulted in great pain to my bites. I had some follow-up issues with low level but consistent bleeding and they saw me twice on Monday (once before work, once after) to stop the bleeding. We dread coming to this office due to the incredibly uncomfortable seats. As with all orthodontic offices, there is often a long wait. Unfortunately, the chairs in the waiting area break your back after about 15 minutes of sitting in them. ALL other staff at the location have comfortable seating except for the parents who are waiting and PAYING. I've heard it mentioned to the staff MANY many times over the years we've been coming here. We have five kids, so we'll never be done. But, I dread going there. The chairs are soooooo bad, that I considered changing orthodontists for our most recent child coming for braces. The chairs are THAT BAD. No one at the office seems to care. I have written feedback notes to the team, in order to not make this concern public, but they ignore. I definitely won't be returning when our last child is ready for braces. It seems odd that the office would care so little for the families coming with their kids. I…read moreleft work early and drove over an hour to make my scheduled appointment, only to be told--after waiting nearly 30 minutes--that the doctor would not see me until I paid an outstanding balance of over $2,000. I was never informed that I had any balance due. The front desk later mentioned that a bill was supposedly sent in August, but I never received anything. From August all the way to November/December, not a single phone call, message, or reminder was sent to inform me of an outstanding balance. Meanwhile, the office called me several times to schedule my follow-up appointment, yet still no one mentioned that I would be required to pay over $2,000 before being seen. Mail gets lost. Calls don't. If I had been told ahead of time, I would have handled the issue before coming in. Instead, I was blindsided and embarrassed at the office, and my time, effort, and drive were completely wasted. A bill of over $2,000 is not a simple copay. There was absolutely no transparency about the possibility that insurance might not cover the full amount or that I could be responsible for such a large balance. Patients' time and effort are valuable, and medical offices must be respectful, transparent, and communicative. I truly hope they improve their practices and consider the impact of such oversights on patients.
