We've visited the Marketplace Buffet at Rampart Casino several times over the years, and I would honestly describe it as a bit hit-or-miss. When they're on their game, the quality is very good, but there have been visits where the experience wasn't quite as consistent. This past Sunday, however, was a different story. We received a buy-one-get-one-free brunch buffet coupon in the mail, and for about $20 per person after splitting the cost, we thought it was definitely worth giving it another try. I'm glad we did. The service was exceptional, the staff was attentive and friendly, the champagne was enjoyable, and the food quality was surprisingly good across the board. We left very satisfied. At that price, it's hard to find a better value. In fact, you could easily spend that much at a casual restaurant and not receive nearly the same variety. I would definitely recommend taking advantage of Marketplace Buffet whenever they offer promotional pricing or coupons. It becomes one of the better values in Las Vegas. My only suggestion to management would be to keep the regular brunch pricing competitive with local restaurants rather than trying to match the pricing of luxury Strip resorts such as Wynn, Bellagio, or Caesars Palace. Those properties operate under a completely different business model. I believe a price point around $27.99 per person would make Marketplace Buffet an outstanding everyday destination for locals while still reflecting the quality they provide. Based on our most recent visit, I'm happy to give Marketplace Buffet four stars. The excellent service, enjoyable champagne, and noticeably improved food quality made this one of our best experiences there. We'll definitely be back. read more

So much I like here, great staff, good variety, and just keeping Vegas buffet culture alive. I just can't get past the prime rib though. If you like yours well done this is the place for you. I went through the line and asked for something rarer and was mumbled at: "this is all we have right now." I came back to take a glance four times during the meal and never saw anything but a gray overcooked roast. It's also more round, not a typical prime rib shape either! We received a 2-for-1 coupon in the mail, so decided to give this place another chance. We tried it 4-5 years ago when they reopened after shutting down for COVID. The food this time was actually pretty good! Not great, but good. As it's so close to us, we're happy that this may be a good option when we can't decide where to go. The French fries were very good! Friday Seafood Night is Back $55.99 or $50.99 with a Rewards Card. The Resort at Summerlin (fka Rampart Casino) has recently introduced new restaurants. We were most excited to try out Friday Seafood Night. We arrived around 3:45 PM and had to only wait about 10 minutes for a table. As we were leaving around 6:45, we did notice the line was pretty long. I immediately proceed to the crab legs. They have cold crab legs (near the front near the shrimp and oysters) and warm crab legs at the other two stations. The warm crab legs were pretty good. Here's a tip, if you are wanting warm crabs legs and the line is too long, they also serve the warm crab legs at the Asian station. The lady was restocking the fresh oysters and she was very polite and friendly when I asked her to put a dozen on my plate. Oysters were pretty good and plump. I always order a glass of water without ice to help clean the oysters. The prime rib was pretty tasty, too. The portion was a little small but since this is an ayce buffet, you can just ask for two pieces and/or go back. I also had a corn in the cob. Our server was very nice and attentive. You can tell there were a lot of professional seafood buffet eaters with their gloves and concentrated eating. The atmosphere was nice and orderly and the experience was reminiscent of past years at the Rampart. We will definitely be back. As indicated above, you get $5 off with a player rewards card. Solid buffet Vegas experience. The price is excellent. The buffet price is $35 on prime rib night which is when I went. They have a wide selection of meat (prime rib on certain nights, hamburger, hot dogs, sausage, ribs, chicken wings, rotisserie chicken, fried chicken). Macaroni and cheese was tasty. It had a slight smoked flavor. The pear pasta was good, slightly sweet but good. The vodka pasta was also good. I had both pastas for sweet and savoy experience. The Chinese food was bad. The noodle was too wet and greasy. One of the reasons why I docked a star. The Turkey was dry. One of the reasons why I docked a star. Mashed potatoes were tasty. The salad was good, however, it was missing bacon bits and egg for toppings. The dessert was good. They have soft serve. Bread pudding. Brownies. The Market Place buffet at Resorts at Summerlin is a solid 4.5 stars. I have gone to the Aloha Hawaiian themed night twice in the same month. It is rare that a buffet does more than a few items exceptionally. On Aloha nights which is Saturday night, they have a sea food cioppino that is better than any cioppino that I have had in San Francisco, Boston or New York. You could just get the ciopinno and some French bread and call it a night. The other stand out items were the oxtails which were better than Main Street Stations and their Kalbi ribs. The prime rib, mashed potatoes and actual drippings based gravy were some of the best in Las Vegas. The manager is constantly checking on the guests, the wait staff is excellent and you are never waiting for a refill or clearing dishes. I like the different themes they have here. We went for Aloha night. This place also has a New York Deli Night (on Mondays) and Mexican Food night. Even with the themes, they still offer their regular buffet items, so the themes are just in addition to the regular buffet offerings. We arrived around 5pm. The line wasn't long at all, but there were still a good amount of people. Aloha night includes coconut shrimp, kalua pig with cabbage, kalbi short ribs, a whole succulent pig, pork belly, oxtail stew, and so much more. The coconut shrimp was breaded to perfection and had the perfect amount of coconut taste to it. Kalua pig with cabbage was very tender, though a little bit on the salty side. Kalbi short ribs were perfectly marinated, the succulent pig was okay, but the pork belly was crispy and the meat was tender. The quality of the food is good, the flavor is a little bit on the bland side. Overall, clean, modern and the servers had great customer service. I went for lunch during a Thursday and I only paid $26. That's still very affordable. Had three slices of prime rib. The only down side I found and maybe that was based on my perception was the fact that the person carving the prime rib kept cutting the pieces thinner and smaller every time I went back. I was staying by the strip so driving to the buffet was a big off the way. Would I visit again, depends on where I'm staying at. If I'm staying on the strip, then no. So I asked for the other chef who came out of the kitchen annoyed and gave me inappropriate attitude. "It's not my fault" So, I walked down the lunch line to get away and try something different. I settled on pasta meat sauce and it was cold. I told the attendee who so proudly wore her culinary union coat, she responded, "It's not my fault that the warming burner wasn't working. Visited this property for the first time out of sheer curiosity and saw that if you have a player's card and get a quick hundred points you get half off the buffet on a Tuesday night which happens to be Fiesta / Mexican night. If you are two people you can get two for one . So all that said and done it came out to $20 drink included tips not.. In a nutshell I must say anything more than $20 is gravely overpaying for what is absolutely mediocre food at best and I'm being kind to say that. It is not high end or even anywhere near. I would consider it one step above Vegas Vacation Buffet if you remember the place Eddie took Clark. The salads are awful and prepackaged dole iceberg that has been sitting for a while. I tried a watermelon sorbet for a dessert in a cone with a polite ane seemingly Vietnamese lady serving, but one lick and in the trash the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted in my life. All the Mexican items were mediocre at best, and dreadful at worst. Ironically, things that you would not expect a poor buffet to have as the highlights of a meal would be: fried chicken (which was extremely good) and color nacho chips with their cheese sauce (also quite good.. think stadium nacho cheese yes not really cheese but who cares it has that nacho cheese stadium taste). Unfortunately, the rest of the items are very unappealing and besides the chicken to salvage it, not really many good items. The Spanish rice wasn't bad either, but the fajita chicken and beef they serve is barely passable. $40 is a crime $20 is a hoarders dream but again definitely a one and done. I forgot to mention their pizza slices are worse than a gas stations. I asked for the lady's name who served me but like an idiot I forgot it... she was absolutely terrific that's why I'm giving an extra star or else this is a two-star buffet and anyone who says it's more I'm sorry to say has extremely low bar set or is in on the gig. read more

Today I'm going to focus in on an employee that surpasses his peers and that's really saying a lot! The server, Mario, at the marketplace buffet greeted us as we walked to our table and offered to take our drink order. He was so polite and so focused I don't even remember if he wrote anything down. The drink order was a little complicated, but he listened carefully! When he came to our table to bring the drinks, everything was perfect! Mario is a big guy, not your usual server. tall, clean cut, and could be a football player! You can actually see him from any angle... He did not come back to the table once twice but many times just to check in. If we needed napkins or we needed an extra Pepsi or more water, he literally ran to get what we wanted. Each time he came to the table he assured us that he was there for us. Considering this is a buffet, you don't always see this. Many times I had to go hunting for my server in the past. When Mario is there, our dinner is especially wonderful! I recall seeing knives for cutting the prime rib carefully and professionally laying inside a napkin when we returned with our food. Wow! We did not need to wait and ask. That was a first!! He is a pleaser and focused on what we may be asking for. Regarding your food... Lovely choices and always Excellent!! I was here for the New Year's Eve buffet invite only event for the 4pm reservation time. I like the variety of food, and that there was an open bar! The bartender was so sweet and nice and made really good cocktails. I did only get two different types of cocktails, but they were both very good. She made a suggestion on what to mix with in order to make a cocktail with Disaronno and it was excellent! I've also eaten here many times before with my family and my kids love it here. There's always something for everyone to eat for their apps, main meal, and even desserts. I just wish there was some allergen info for the food items, as my youngest is severely allergic to eggs, peanuts, all tree, nuts, and sesame. I'm just so scared of misinformation from the chefs (I have asked before for multiple food items and most of the time they doing have a positive answer) or cross-contamination, so I usually just have to pack her own food, but it can be hard at times. So back to the NYE buffet - some of the food items were extremely salty. The galbi/kalbi short ribs were a bit salty but was still edible up to a certain point. But the lobster bisque - omg. SO SALTY! I even added a bunch of hot water to my bowl to dilute the saltiness, but then the soup was watery, and it was still a bit salty I couldn't bring myself to eat that much of it. When I was here for Thanksgiving, the lobster bisque was perfect. So it was just an off night for that bisque which happened to be for a pretty important event, unfortunately. It seemed like a lot of the food was kept in the warmers for a while. The food was not fresh. The garlic eggplant had a LOT of oil in it, it looked like soup. The spam fried rice didn't have any flavor. As a matter of fact most of the food lacked flavor. The prime rib was eh, flavorless, even with the au jus. The only thing that had flavor was the raspberry ice tea and desserts. The desserts were the best thing going for them but by the time I got to the desserts, I was already full. I should have started there first. I would love to come back and try A different day...maybe it was just an off day for the cooks. If you're ok with bland food or are trying to reduce salt intake, this is a place for you to try. However if you are trying to watch your sugar intake, don't go here because the desserts will get you hooked. I'll try it again someday but not anytime soon. read more

I was visiting my relatives and they offered a recommendation for nearby buffet so we can have a little bit of the Vegas experience (I requested not to go to the strip to avoid long lines and traffic). This isn't their favorite spot, but felt it was pretty good. Fortunately, my family thought the food was really good overall. Obviously, it is not the Bellagio or Caesar's palace level, but it also costs a lot less and there was no line to get in. Generally, all the meat was cooked really well, though the roast pork was a bit dry. However, the prime rib and chicken were both excellent. I got some of the asian noodles, and those were defintely overcooked, but tasted decent. The stewed meat was quite good. There was a continual refilling of popular items at the stations, except they seemed slow at refilling dessert! For dessert, i only tried a piece of cake and a cookie. Both were fairly average, but good. Service was excellent. Overall, I enjoyed my visit here. Service and value are good. I'd say, stick with the meat and proteins as the best items. read more

This was my first time in this casino in more than a decade. We met up with family that has been to the buffet before. We were able to be seated right away which is always a plus. Our server was very nice and greeted us as soon as we were seated and took our drink order. She kept on top of us the whole time we were there. She brought us carafes of our beverages so we would be set for refills and we never had a problem with dirty plates stacking up as I've had in some other buffets. I only had a small variety of items due to my wheat/gluten allergy. I had prime rib, baby bok choy, elote corn, sesame balls and gelato. I think these items were gluten free. I had to guess. My husband asked a couple of employees for me and they didn't have a clue as to what had gluten. I took some medicine that helps me metabolize gluten and crossed my fingers. So far I don't feel sick yet. The prime rib was flavorful and tender with very strong horseradish. My nasal passages are clear now. The bok choy could be the best I've ever had. Not the best for a buffet but best ever!! Including all the authentic Chinese restaurants I've eaten at. The sesame balls with red bean paste were delicious as well. They were fresh and soft. The gelato was good. A little on the icy side. I had the pistachio, vanilla and mint chip. I made the mistake of putting whipped cream on top. My motto is that everything is better topped with whipped cream! Except this cream was horrible . I don't think it was whipped cream at all. It tasted like whipped oil. Think Cool Whip but worse. I think it was only $34 per person. For that price I think the value is there for sure. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the whipped cream and the employees that had no idea about the gluten and didn't seem to want to find out or help in anyway. Still cost $45.00 for us, but quite possibly the worst food I've ever had. So many memories at this buffet. I went here with my late mom very frequently from 1995 up until about 2009 . Back then , you had to be a players club member and it was really inexpensive and they had delicious baked salmon that was wild caught. So many wonderful memories. I saw this buffet on TikTok and had to try it out. I go to a lot of buffets in Vegas but never been to one off the strip. We went on a Friday to get the seafood dinner. We got in line about 245 and got in about 305. The restaurant was very clean. The servers were super nice. We never had to ask for a refill or extra napkins. The food itself was great in my opinion. The section was with the carvery was so good. The mashed potatoes actually had flavor and the carrots were delicious. Everything we got was really good. The Asian section had so much flavor. I'm the only one who likes crab out of the two sections of us and I was pretty full so I didn't get much. The crab I did get was delicious and the clarified butter was steaming hot.
