    Crab legs.
    Alex C.

5/24 An off strip buffet on a budget. Having seen the plentiful amounts of lobster and some PR luster; I have always wanted to experience and dine-in. If it is a gourmet dining experience that you're looking for, then you might not be in for a surprise. The rush: well, you can't miss the A.Y.C.E sign as it sits front and center as you enter the casino floor and centrally located by the hotel registration desk. What I mean by rush one may ask? Well, the cashier, 1 of 2, neither was she nice, and the whole interaction was - card, pay, and sign. I did feel a bit embarrassed at my table, but the reason for that will be revealed later on. Interior: I quite liked the rustic wood and metal framing of the individual stalls as well as the dinning room. Service: the waitress attending the area I was seated in - towards the back to the far left, close to the Revival (vegan themed stall). I felt embarrassed as I may have under tipped - unfortunately I felt so rushed by the cashier that I wrote a number in the tip line in a hurry. Nonetheless, I was provided attentive service. All you can eat? Despite the acronym being exactly what one would describe at a buffet, I found it difficult for me to eat as much as I can. The food was so underwhelming that I could barely remember the individual stalls and its offerings. The carving meats were at the least edible. The sushi station had rolls that could mirror those bought from Costco. The salad station looked promising, but let's face it, that's more of an after thought at a buffet. The desserts looked decent, until I bit into a Portuguese egg tart that tasted nothing like what it's supposed to be. The value: every table had silver buckets, crackers, and tools to de-shell and reveal flaky crab meat. Patrons load up on crab legs and crack away salty and plump meat. This is something you would have to do all hands in. I did crack a couple legs and felt that butter is not needed for the already sea salt fresh crab. I really wanted to enjoy my meal but felt that there was not enough offerings. My thoughts after the meal was that I would have been happier at Tim Ho Wan (also located inside Palms), or spend $40-$50 more at an on strip buffet like at the Wynn for a gourmet experience (A.Y.C.E was $46.99 before tax and tip). Come for the crab legs but probably can skip the rest.

The crab legs were fresh, perfectly cooked, and definitely the highlight. What really stood out was the friendly service, the staff were especially kind and attentive to my 7-year-old son, which made our visit even better!

Came here recently on a Wednesday morning for their daily BRUNCH offering from 9A - 2P. Didn't really eat much of the brunch offerings but DEFINITELY went ham (no pun intended) on the STEAMED SNOW CRAB (whole legs) along with de-shelled cocktail shrimp. Had picked up a small piece of a NY strip steak at one of the stations. Super overcooked unfortunately, probably from the heated station. The bacon i had got was SUPER crispy (yum). The STEAMED SNOW CRAB was really good. Pretty easy to remove most of the meat in the body and leg. Even though its NOT self serve, the servers do NOT skimp on how much they give you. Sometimes you actually have to tell them to stop ! Every table has a bucket, for all the shells. They also give all the tools needed for eating crab without asking, which is nice. Definitely ate as much snow crab as i could, despite it being 11am LOL. Probably the most reasonably priced buffet ($42.99/person for brunch daily, $46.99 for dinner on Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun, $52.99 for prime rib & snow crab dinner on Fri), for good quality snow crabs. Yeah its not king crabs but at least these snow crabs aren't small or pre-cut. Not a fan of pre-cut crab as it dries out. Seemed like a popular place for people to eat crabs. Everyone had a mountain of legs on their table.

Everything was delicious and fresh. The crab legs had claws! Not the dinky ones with lots of effort and not a lot of meat here. Also they have a soup bucket of drawn butter if you want to go all out. Tuna poke was fresh. I added some lemon to mine. Everything tasted pretty good. Almost all the desserts tasted great and were worth the calories, not just pretty looking like at some places. (Exception the mousse below the passion fruit dessert, and the sugar free chocolate cake. Pass.)

We made our reservations on March 11 for the lobster themes night, April 2 and opted for the first dining option, 3 PM. Upon arrival, they were in the transition from the daily brunch crowd. The staff were very meticulous in wiping down the tables and chairs. Each table was set with a bucket for shells, plus a cracker. Our sole purpose was the lobster, so my husband was set on eating the cost in lobster. While the lobster was not seasoned, just steamed, they did have two butter options, regulars and spicy. The spicy was just seasoning with an assortment of herbs and not spicy. We were seated across from the lobster and crab area, so could see when they put out fresh lobsters I tried the tails and the whole lobster, as well as the snow crab legs. They also had other cuisine, BBQ, southern, sushi, salad bar and of course dessert. Our server, Kathy, was very attentive to refilling our beverages and letting us know where to find the butter!

My friend got a great brunch deal so we tried the buffet. They have a carving station and hot crab legs along with a large selection. Good experience. Wonderful wait staff. Drinks and mimosas refilled frequently. Please come and create your own adventure.

I made a reservation to check out this place since I saw so many review of it online. We happened to be in Vegas on the days that they serve lobster. They have whole lobster and lobster tails for those that doesn't like to break it apart and eat it. There were two types of butter that you can get to dip with it. But I forgo both and make my own sauce; salt, pepper and tons of lemon to dip. Sooooo good. Some of the whole lobster has eggs in there, it was pretty good. They have some good selections of variety of food here for everyone. Service was spectacular, staff was friendly and nice. They cleared the plates and refill your drinks. Would totally recommend you to try this place--at least once.

The food is tasty. I enjoyed my Spinach, Ham and Tomato Omelet as well as the Birria Ramen and Crab Legs. Oh, can't forget about the Tofu with Sweet Chili Sauce and Peach Cobbler. Another satisfying meal! Shout out to Janice who kept our Mimosas "topped up." Looking forward to our next visit all of the way from sunny Southern California.

One can continue to hope that the trend of food halls will reverse itself and Vegas will return to the glory days of the buffet reigning king on the strip. Until that day we will have to make do with the few buffet options there are left on the strip. The AYCE at the Palms is not as expansive as the buffet at Caesar's or the Wynn but it holds its own against these strong competitors. The lobster and crab legs are the draw here, but what stood out to me were some under the radar dishes that don't get as much attention in the buffet setting. First the Crab Rangoon was a perfect bite of sweet and savory. I would not have thought that hot honey would pair well with a Crab Rangoon but I'm glad I was mistaken. You get the crunchy breading upon the initial bite mixed with the warm and savory crab mixture, then the hot honey adds a touch of sweetness and just a hint of spice. All the different flavor profiles come together for the perfect bite. Another dish I would return for is the baked beans and cornbread combo. It seems like the AYCE has perfected the sweet and savory combination because this was another pairing that was delicious. The smoky bbq flavor of the beans and the sweet and savory cornbread quickly became a favorite of mine here. I wouldn't sleep on these great dishes even if the seafood is the main draw.

Birria ramen, waffle, and some breakfast dish
    Alyssa T.

Located in the Palms casino, this is a decently priced buffet. There are warm snow crab legs, delicious birria ramen, some good breakfast dishes, and pretty decent lunch options. Their dessert bar is better than the other buffet we went to in LV, with the smores brownie being the star. Soft serve ice cream was great too. However, it is a buffet, so not every food's quality was good enough to rate 5/5. Just glad I didn't go to the pricier buffets as I feel the quality would probably be the same, just a few more options. Service was good, only thing is they ask you to pay and ask for a tip before you even get seated, which feels weird when I have no idea how good or bad the service will be. Since it is embedded in a casino, it can be a little loud depending on if there are any emcee'd events going on, but it's not difficult to hear your party at all.

The staff at check in did take some time before they greeted us. The greeting by the hostess team wasn't warm or friendly, it was just polite. We did check in about 15mins after our reservation time, which they do give a 15min grace period which I am very grateful for. After we checked in, we only waited about 5 mins and then we were lead to our table. The waitress we had for this experience was polite, but we rarely saw her. We placed drink orders and then saw her only 2 times after that. The 2 times we had to ask for drink refills, which is a bummer because it would've been nice to just have her check in asking us how things were going. The staff who cleared our plates were more attentive than our own waitress. At the end of our dining experience our waitress made an appearance with our check (prepaid so it was just a copy), but on the check the gratuity suggestion was ridiculous for the little amount of service provided. I still left a good tip, just not the full 22% suggestion. The setting of the sit down area was a bit crowded, but our table itself was a good size for my group of 4. The food experience was great for the most part! I loved the fresh hot crab legs, my favorite! The seafood boil station looked great, but I wish the server gave some sauce with the seafood boil. The birria taco and beef empanadas were both cold and stale, it would be nice if those stations wouldn't put out so much and let it sit for a long period. The street tacos were great and I love that it was fresh! Definitely try the short rib and prime rib! There is a caviar bar, but try at your own risk because when I tasted all three options none were fresh tasting. The seafood pasta was so good! I tried a little bit of everything and recommend you try a little of everything to make it worth your experience. The dessert station offers so much and it's great! The only thing I would suggest is that the churros be served hot if possible! Overall, the pricing is fair for what is provided.

They had all the brunch basics like eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles, and an omelet station where they cook it fresh. There were also plenty of lunch options including pasta, pizza, roasted meats, and a carving station with prime rib. What I liked most was the variety--they also had sushi, a salad bar, fresh fruits, and a seafood section with shrimp, oysters, salmon, and other options. For drinks, they offered coffee, tea, and juice, which was convenient. And of course, there were lots of desserts like cakes, pastries, gelato, and mini sweets. The atmosphere felt more festive since it was New Year's Day. It was a bit busy, but still organized, and the place has that elegant Bellagio vibe without feeling too overwhelming. Personally, I didn't eat as much as I wanted because I wasn't feeling well that day and didn't have much of an appetite (as I've mentioned in my past videos), but my husband really enjoyed the food, so that made the experience worth it for us. Overall, if you're in Vegas during the holidays and want a place with a lot of options in one spot, this is a good choice. Just come hungry to really make the most out of it!

IMO Brunch at $45 pp was a bit pricey for what was offered. The best thing I ate was from the omelet station and one of the mixed salads. I didn't even bother with the desserts. Food was decent but I wouldn't come back esp at that price. I rather go off strip to eat.

The restaurant is so huge that there was no wait on a Sat night despite it being crowded inside. Spicy vodka pasta - 5/5: Vodka pasta is my go to and this is one of the better ones I've ate. I'm not usually a fan of spicy pasta, but this one was really good. I also liked the pieces of sausages in there. Shrimp scampi- 3/5: The pieces of shrimp were big and good flavor. The noodle were kind of bland. Tasted better with some lemon on top.

Then list all dinner items. Breakfast should be separate as well. Why not have only 1 page for salads instead of 2? The menu is extensive and complex. Dumb it down please and you won't need to lose the sophistication. We used to always hit Grand Luxe Sort of weird that you have to request bread. Why not ask if you want it instead? It would be a better concept than me leaving slightly feeling that I could have had it Bread came AND they brought some that was GF!! Awesome! Having ordered 2 different salads, we both absolutely LOVED each salad. I asked to drop the chicken and add avocado instead. Perfect! Would we come back? Absolutely YES! We just have to overcome the huge menu options. Also, the waitstaff were amazing and patient with our numerous questions. I would have given 5 stars, but the menu and gluten free and vegetarian options were a bit of a challenge to figure out. Otherwise, 5 stars.
