My only complaint is having to schedule this visit months ago for a party of 5 that dropped to just my husband and I because of work/school schedule changes. The prime rib or sirloin and salmon were wonderful and served by Robert & Rojes. The gentleman serving the lobster & crab by the sushi area was quick and very nice. We were seated at the first table across from gelato station and the hostess was prompt and very efficient at her job. I am so sorry I didn't catch her name but maybe you can look at your station schedule for 5/21. But she was a good hostess! I was really disappointed with the Palms buffet, especially considering it cost about $50 per person. The selection looked promising, but nearly everything I tried was cold. The crab legs were flavorless, dull, and served cold. Even the tri-tip, which was freshly carved, was somehow cold as well. I made a point to try a variety of items throughout the buffet, hoping some dishes would stand out, but unfortunately everything seemed to have the same issue- cold food. The bottomless mimosas were also disappointing, as our glasses were only refilled twice during the entire meal. The one bright spot was our waitress, Janice, who was very sweet and friendly. 5/24 An off strip buffet on a budget. Having seen the plentiful amounts of lobster and some PR luster; I have always wanted to experience and dine-in. If it is a gourmet dining experience that you're looking for, then you might not be in for a surprise. The rush: well, you can't miss the A.Y.C.E sign as it sits front and center as you enter the casino floor and centrally located by the hotel registration desk. What I mean by rush one may ask? Well, the cashier, 1 of 2, neither was she nice, and the whole interaction was - card, pay, and sign. I did feel a bit embarrassed at my table, but the reason for that will be revealed later on. Interior: I quite liked the rustic wood and metal framing of the individual stalls as well as the dinning room. Service: the waitress attending the area I was seated in - towards the back to the far left, close to the Revival (vegan themed stall). I felt embarrassed as I may have under tipped - unfortunately I felt so rushed by the cashier that I wrote a number in the tip line in a hurry. Nonetheless, I was provided attentive service. All you can eat? Despite the acronym being exactly what one would describe at a buffet, I found it difficult for me to eat as much as I can. The food was so underwhelming that I could barely remember the individual stalls and its offerings. The carving meats were at the least edible. The sushi station had rolls that could mirror those bought from Costco. The salad station looked promising, but let's face it, that's more of an after thought at a buffet. The desserts looked decent, until I bit into a Portuguese egg tart that tasted nothing like what it's supposed to be. The value: every table had silver buckets, crackers, and tools to de-shell and reveal flaky crab meat. Patrons load up on crab legs and crack away salty and plump meat. This is something you would have to do all hands in. I did crack a couple legs and felt that butter is not needed for the already sea salt fresh crab. I really wanted to enjoy my meal but felt that there was not enough offerings. My thoughts after the meal was that I would have been happier at Tim Ho Wan (also located inside Palms), or spend $40-$50 more at an on strip buffet like at the Wynn for a gourmet experience (A.Y.C.E was $46.99 before tax and tip). Didn't really eat much of the brunch offerings but DEFINITELY went ham (no pun intended) on the STEAMED SNOW CRAB (whole legs) along with de-shelled cocktail shrimp. Had picked up a small piece of a NY strip steak at one of the stations. Super overcooked unfortunately, probably from the heated station. The bacon i had got was SUPER crispy (yum). The STEAMED SNOW CRAB was really good. Pretty easy to remove most of the meat in the body and leg. Even though its NOT self serve, the servers do NOT skimp on how much they give you. Sometimes you actually have to tell them to stop ! Every table has a bucket, for all the shells. They also give all the tools needed for eating crab without asking, which is nice. Definitely ate as much snow crab as i could, despite it being 11am LOL. Probably the most reasonably priced buffet ($42.99/person for brunch daily, $46.99 for dinner on Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun, $52.99 for prime rib & snow crab dinner on Fri), for good quality snow crabs. We made our reservations on March 11 for the lobster themes night, April 2 and opted for the first dining option, 3 PM. Upon arrival, they were in the transition from the daily brunch crowd. The staff were very meticulous in wiping down the tables and chairs. Each table was set with a bucket for shells, plus a cracker. Our sole purpose was the lobster, so my husband was set on eating the cost in lobster. While the lobster was not seasoned, just steamed, they did have two butter options, regulars and spicy. The spicy was just seasoning with an assortment of herbs and not spicy. We were seated across from the lobster and crab area, so could see when they put out fresh lobsters I tried the tails and the whole lobster, as well as the snow crab legs. The AYCE buffet is in the Palms Hotel-Casino. There is free parking, but it is limited and can be very challenging. Unlike many of the other Vegas buffets it is open not only for breakfast, brunch, and lunch, but also dinner. Dinner costs more and has premium items like crab legs, lobster, and various cuts of steak/beef. See their website for the current offerings and pricing as these change over time and vary per day of the week. It was not noisy or crowded, but more people arrived over the course of our meal and it got a little louder, but still not noisy or over crowded like other buffets in the area. We went for dinner on a Tuesday around 4:30-5:00. There was a very short line and the buffet was not crowded. As with other Vegas buffets there is a 1-1.5 hr time limit to eat. The premium items available on our visit included: crab legs, brisket, and sirloin. The crab legs were fresh, well cooked (not soggy/mushy), and well seasoned (not too much salt taste). The brisket was well seasoned but not tender. The sirloin was well seasoned and cooked well, just ask the server to cut for you from the end for more well done or the middle for more rare. They also had a pork street taco, which was excellent and probably the best item on our visit. Also notable was the candied yams. They had all the other typical buffet areas: dessert, salad-fruit, various international hot foods, limited seafood-sushi, etc. The gelato was truly disgusting with strange flavors. We tried almost all of them trying to get a good one and only 1-2 were even edible. Their other deserts, cakes, cookies, special confections were not worth the calories. If you really want desert after, then try Urth Cafe in the Wynn or one of the various off strip frozen custard places (the ones down town are not good). The price was about $50 a person. You tip before you get seated when you pay. Consequently, we only tipped 10% at register (10% is standard for a buffet despite any objectors), but we received excellent service and so tipped another 10% cash at the table. For what you pay and what you get, we thought the AYCE is actually a better value than the other more expensive and more famous buffets in Vegas. I made a reservation to check out this place since I saw so many review of it online. We happened to be in Vegas on the days that they serve lobster. They have whole lobster and lobster tails for those that doesn't like to break it apart and eat it. There were two types of butter that you can get to dip with it. But I forgo both and make my own sauce; salt, pepper and tons of lemon to dip. Sooooo good. Some of the whole lobster has eggs in there, it was pretty good. The AYCE at the Palms is not as expansive as the buffet at Caesar's or the Wynn but it holds its own against these strong competitors. The lobster and crab legs are the draw here, but what stood out to me were some under the radar dishes that don't get as much attention in the buffet setting. First the Crab Rangoon was a perfect bite of sweet and savory. I would not have thought that hot honey would pair well with a Crab Rangoon but I'm glad I was mistaken. You get the crunchy breading upon the initial bite mixed with the warm and savory crab mixture, then the hot honey adds a touch of sweetness and just a hint of spice. All the different flavor profiles come together for the perfect bite. Another dish I would return for is the baked beans and cornbread combo. It seems like the AYCE has perfected the sweet and savory combination because this was another pairing that was delicious. The smoky bbq flavor of the beans and the sweet and savory cornbread quickly became a favorite of mine here. I wouldn't sleep on these great dishes even if the seafood is the main draw. read more

Their dessert bar is better than the other buffet we went to in LV, with the smores brownie being the star. Soft serve ice cream was great too. However, it is a buffet, so not every food's quality was good enough to rate 5/5. Just glad I didn't go to the pricier buffets as I feel the quality would probably be the same, just a few more options. Service was good, only thing is they ask you to pay and ask for a tip before you even get seated, which feels weird when I have no idea how good or bad the service will be. We arrived about 20 minutes before it opened and there was already a long line or people waiting. We finally got In and our server was very nice. Buffet display was good and most of the food was good. It wasn't the best buffets food I have had but my family and I were satisfied. Lots of items to choose from. Even though the line looked long, it moved efficiently and we were seated faster than expected--always a good start. Post-COVID, it's rare to see buffets not only survive but truly thrive, and AYCE is doing exactly that. The dinner price for holiday is $46.99 felt completely justified given the quality and variety. There is a separate line for the butcher station and snow crab, but it moved fairly quickly and was well organized. If you don't feel like waiting, there are plenty of alternatives nearby--cocktail shrimp, hot entrées, and other meats are readily available, so you're never left standing around hungry. The food selection is impressive. You can load up on snow crab and shrimp, then switch gears to comfort favorites like prime rib, steak, turkey, salmon, pizza, sushi, and a solid lineup of Chinese dishes. The salad bar was fresh and well stocked. The dessert station looked like a pastry lover's dream--colorful, tempting, and hard to resist. The crème brûlée was a highlight, though we did wish they had also offered flan to round out the selection. The dining room itself is spacious with high ceilings and an open, airy layout, making the experience feel relaxed rather than chaotic despite the crowd. Service was friendly and attentive throughout, with plates cleared promptly and drinks refilled without needing to ask. All in all, AYCE Buffet continues to be one of our go-to spots in Vegas. We only go for special occasions.Now, because of the price, but it was well worth it. They had shrimp also, and the brisket i like. We went on lobster night so my husband could get seafood and because they have vegan options. It was almost 200 for both of us to eat. They had plenty of seafood but my husband didn't get a ton of it. He also liked the lobster mac and cheese and the brisket he had. I was very underwhelmed by the salad bar and the vegan options even though I really appreciate that they had them. The salsberry steak was the best thing and it was basically a veggie sausage patty with mashed potatoes. The hummus and tabbouleh were pretty flavorless, the Mexican lasagna was just vegan cheese and sauce there was no pasta. The veggie fried rice was hard and flavorless and pretty much inedible. Been wanting you try the palms all you can eat lobster buffet on Wednesdays forever. Finally got a table booked two months out. What a disappointment! I don't get what the hype is all about. The lobsters were tough. The snow crab was the next best thing on the menu. They didn't have prime rib they had sirloin and every dish was just mediocre at best. They did however have one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. It was a made to order lobster bow tie pasta with marinara and Alfredo. The noodles were tender and the sauce was exquisite. If the buffet was around $50 I could see the allure, however, almost $90. That definitely wasn't a good bang for the buck. A solid choice if you live buffets. This one in particular in Las Vegas, the palms is in a great location. There is another food court nearby but this buffet is quite an experience. They have brunch for $45 ish, lunch for like $65 ish and a special lobster deal for dinner for about $80 ish. Me and my family did the lobster deal. We also did the brunch the following day. The brunch was mediocre. They offered a lobster roll that had a lot of filler, such as mayonnaise and sugar in it. It didn't taste authentic, but they had snow crab legs. This was okay but not a lot of meat in it. The other food was New York steak, oatmeal and basic food like fruit and potatoes. There was farmed salmon and ice cream near the far right corner and other foods include tacos and turkey the day I went. The other lobster deal, had full lobster and lobster tails. You can have as many as you want. It was a great value if you eat a lot of food and like seafood. They also had beef brisket, shrimp, crab legs and other good food like prime rib, birria soup and teppanyaki. It's not as good as bacchanal buffet, but you get a unique value with the quality of food. The food here tasted delicious and wasn't overbearingly massive to look at and choose. Service was excellent for the lobster meal day, two servers were quick with drinks and cleaning, but also were kind and brought us many napkins and emptied our little trash bowl in the center. After we ate all the food, the brisket, sushi, lobster etc. a few minutes maybe 2-3 minutes later they cleaned up the dishes and table. Ambiance was noisy, many annoying smokers and slot machines were abundant nearby. Bathrooms were located outside the buffet, but there were several locations for those, around 5 inside the casino alone and several others outside. The bathrooms themselves were huge, maybe 11-12 stalls and 16 urinals in the each of the five locations. The scenery of the listed signs above the food were convenient and if you have poor vision, not a problem. The environment was spacious with plenty of booths and tables. A lot of foreigners and gamblers were dining here. The line was long to get in. The smoke in the air was quite an issue outside the buffet, just be aware of that. I highly recommend to eat here if you are hungry and want a decent value. These lobster tails are usually 50-60$ at restaurants, you basically get as many as you want, but it has a lot of cholesterol. read more

We've been back to the buffet at the Palms a number of times since last year - and it's still an excellent spot near The Strip for a nice meal! You still should book ahead for their Wednesday & Thursday night AYCE lobster buffet, so check time slot availability prior to your visit! The price did go up to a substantial $79.99 per person...but if you got a players card, hit up the slots a little bit for some possible food comps the next month. Should help with the price of admission, even a small discount will go a long way! We last visited the buffet for lobster on our anniversary in November, then we went last weekend for the AYCE crab legs! Fun visits with lots of food to be had! We do enjoy their carving stations as well, especially their roasted sirloin and their turkey breast! They brine that turkey really well - not dry at all and super flavorful! I also do like their build your own carne asada tacos in the BBQ section, nice for a change up! Did I mention their pizza hits the spot in some way? Looking for a delicious all you can eat buffet in Las Vegas? This is the place. I was particularly interested in the lobster buffet on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I made a reservation online about six weeks ahead. I chose the 3 PM reservation so I will be there right when they opened. I arrived at 2:30 and found there were already 2 lines in place. One line was for those with online reservations. The other was a line for waitlist.. At 3 PM sharp they started processing the reservation line. You go through the line and pay for your meal and gratuities before you go through the buffet. Super easy. Very kind and efficient staff. I made haste for the lobster. I first chose the lobster tails. You can get two tails per visit to the counter. The tails are about 4 to 5 inches long. Very tasty. You can also pick up drawn butter or a spicy butter. I enjoyed both. I also chose the whole lobsters. The claws were sweet and delicious too. I tried the boiled shrimp. It was good but at this point nothing could compare to the lobsters. I probably ended up eating at at least eight of the lobster tails and two whole lobsters. Totally worth the price. Weight staff was very attentive. I love the tools they provided for you at the table as well as the wet wipes. If you have any room left, try the Smoked prime rib, sushi or one of the different types of pastas. Fruits and other side dishes Are available also. Do make haste to the desert bar. Lots of tiny little desserts. Perfect end into a meal. My favorite was the tiny crème brûlée. We love the seafood nights!! This is the second visit and we will definitely be back again!! Salvador was an excellent server!!

We visited AYCE again to try the lobster night buffet. It's basically your standard fare with the addition of whole lobsters and lobster tails plus lobster added to select other dishes like lobster mac and cheese. I really like the decor at AYCE; they are really trying to give the ambiance an upscale look. We made reservations ahead of time, but it was not busy that night and we received a text that our table was available about one hour ahead of time. Your server will bring your beverages, and Salvador did a great job of keeping drinks topped up and plates cleared away with a cheerful demeanor. So the food - honestly it was pretty standard buffet fare. They have assorted carved meats. I tried the turkey and pork and both were terribly dry. The brisket was not too bad. They have assorted side dishes; the mashed potatoes were very odd looking and looked like the ingredients had separated. I had a few lobster tails. They were not bad. Not terribly fresh, but they had a bit of that sweetness you expect from lobster. This is AYCE lobster, so you honestly cannot expect top notch lobster. The highlight of the buffet was actually the pizza! Really tasty crust and a great mix of sauce and cheese. The desserts were actually pretty good. I liked the warm s'mores brownie and also tried a few of the small cupcakes and cakes which were decent.
