Came here after a full day of driving and shopping around Vegas. We called ahead and were told that it would be an hour wait so we put our name down and started driving to the restaurant (20min away). Before we got to the restaurant they called us an said a table was ready (we were a minute away). So when we got to the restaurant we were seated right away. The restaurant also had plenty of parking out front. The ordering here was a little different then other places we've been to. They give you a menu and you place each order with a staff member. But, like other places there were some menu items which was one order per person. So we ordered some of those - soft shell crab, LA Galbi, and Oysters. The Soft Shell Crab was humongous and very tasty! The LA Galbi was a really good portion and grilled to perfection. The Oysters were a good size with the only complaint that it was one order/one oyster per person. We let my wife have them all as Oysters are one of her favourites. All the food was really good, well presented, fresh, and tasted great. We liked the large assortment of rolls and that you could get a half order - that allows you to try without being to committed. Salmon Avocado Temaki (hand cone) were great and good ration of avocado/salmon/rice. The tempura was not too oily. There is a limit on dessert but we were so stuffed that we could only get one ice cream and 2x Melona ice cream bars to share. Staff were extremely friendly and came around often. This was good because you always had to place an order through them. On this night it was quite busy and the noise was moderate and we could still hold a conversation. The large portions, the fresh fish, ability to get 1/2 order rolls, good selection of desserts, friendly staff, and relative closeness to the strip makes this a gem and we definitely will come back again.

We did move to the back room, 2ft away on the other side of the small doorway/wall with the chefs awareness. I didn't get to tell the host but they saw us gone but never approached or gave us menus or anything even though they could see us through the doorway. I served for a handful of years so i quickly realized i was in the experienced servers section, they had about 7 tables all to themselves I immediately felt so bad because this server was already swamped with people and a party of about 20 was in the front room, so there was no back up for them. Maybe this caused or triggered a rift with the host? Bc we moved on our own and maybe someone thought the other did it? Either way, the host barely helped this server and almost never brought us anything or checked on us to lighten the load for the server(s). The server went hard and apologized and i felt so bad bc they were the best part of the experience (and the chefs!) someone did assist and another person, a young man came by but he didn't fire the items we asked him for, so the server had to get the chefs to quick/refire my order. My friend worked 8 days straight 10hr days and still took me to my bday dinner. She was tired and falling asleep but she didn't understand the nuance of what was happening in the restaurant, so she was pretty upset. If she wasn't tired...it would have been a different night is all ill say.
It is just a okay food quality wise. I kind of doubt the freshness of the fish to be honest. Everything is midiocre but you get to try a lot of different rolls, nigiri, fry items...all that typical stuff. Service is standard. The restaurant is small and kind of smells "funny" not in a good way for this location on E. Flamingo. I don't think I'm coming back.
Stopped on a Sunday for lunch at Yama Sushi. Many years ago I used to eat here for lunch and decided to try it out again. The restaurant is still nice looking and wasn't very busy. We were promptly greeted and got a table. We did the all you can eat lunch option and tried a range of different dishes. What really stood out to me was a definite change in flavor profiles from what I'm now used to. While we enjoyed many items, others were definitely not what we are used to at sushi restaurants. We really enjoyed the tempura udon. The sushi was all fresh and lightly poked good with a minimal amount of rice. Anything with spicy tuna in it had a texture and different heat/spice element- perhaps the fish was chopped so smoothly that it was almost creamy; but the heat while pronounced, wasn't blended in the way we normally see it. The tempura batter was tasty, but a thicker and heavier batter. Lastly, the green tea and pistachio ice creams had different flavors that we didn't care for. The green tea didn't make me think green tea; and the pistachio had more of a syrupy flavor. All that said, the restaurant got busy as we ate - so clearly other people enjoy their food more than us. I would say the food was okay but nothing special. The service was very good!
This is my go to sushi restaurant When I am in Las Vegas. I brought my nephews here for the first time and they just loved it. They're all you can eat. Sushi is one of the best deals ever. I really like it because you can order half rolls and you don't get so full so fast and you can experiment with different kinds of the mini rolls that are on their menu. The service is always perfect, the food comes out fast and they're checking back with us constantly to see if we need anything to fill our beverage glasses. The decorations are nothing special, but it's still pleasing to come in and enjoy the meal. Highly recommended.
I have been coming to Yama Sushi for over 10 years now and it's always consistently delicious. The fish tastes fresh and the appetizers are crispy! It's a cute small place and the service is quick and friendly.

Superb service. Great price for the all you can eat option. Many choices and options on the menu. We came here after work. Everyone was happy with the selection and freshness. I'll be back for sure.
The food was amazing. Very fresh and super delicious. I would say it's the best sushi place in the area. They have a huge menu, plus you won't have to wait too long for your order. All the people who work there make sure you feel welcomed and treat you nicely like you are the only guest there. Atmosphere is also very nice. 10/10!

Having patronized Yama for many years, I have historically considered it a Las Vegas staple known for reliable quality and service. Unfortunately, during a recent visit to the Spring Mountain location, the culinary execution fell significantly short of expectations, despite the service remaining attentive Ordered the following: Spicy garlic edamame Crab salad Tuna poke Garlic tuna Yuzu hamachi Harry Potter roll Spicy pork *The nigiri was cut noticeably thin *The yuzu hamachi leaned closer to a blend of lemon and lime juice rather than the distinct flavor of authentic yuzu. *The spicy pork had an unexpected gritty and chalky texture. *Crab salad was tasty! *Tuna poke was a joke. Low quality cubed tuna with a generous helping of sauce(way too much) *Standard table accompaniments like soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger were not provided by default. When requested, the soy sauce was served in plastic to-go ramekins rather than proper dine-in dishware. I am not sure what has shifted between the original location and this one on Spring Mountain, but the overall experience no longer reflects the restaurant's historical reputation. Given the number of excellent all-you-can-eat sushi options in town, I would recommend exploring other alternatives. read more

This is my go to sushi restaurant When I am in Las Vegas. I brought my nephews here for the first time and they just loved it. They're all you can eat. Sushi is one of the best deals ever. My other half has been coming here for 10+yrs. Service from the sushi chef was trash. We sat at the bar. I was highly disappointed. I think it was just the sushi chef at the time. Food was great though. Will come back to try it again. Sushi was Fresh. Rolls were good. S/o out our waitress and the manager they were so kind and appreciative of the business regardless of the service. read more
I really like the location on Eastside on flamingo road. Plenty of parking and lots of seating space. Yama Sushi is a must-visit spot for all-you-can-eat sushi in Las Vegas. The fish is fresh, the rolls are creative, and the service is fast and friendly. Their nigiri and specialty rolls come out beautifully plated, and the kitchen items like garlic edamame and tempura are great additions. It's a busy place, especially during peak hours, but totally worth the wait. Great value for the quality you get! This place is all about better fish to rice ratio. Do t sleep on the soft shell crab and the kbbq short ribs. read more

I think this place has gone downhill I don't know since when. I've been here twice before this visit and I liked this place a lot since the last time I paid them a visit maybe few years ago. We came here for lunch which limited what items we could get from the menu, that was fine since you do pay less for lunch. We ended up getting a whole bunch of appetizers and I would say about half of them were good but not super impressive. I like their baked mussels a lot. The bacon wrapped shrimps would be better if they didn't put so much sauce on them, I think they were way too salty with the sauce. I also like their tempura items. The rolls are ok, my favorite was their salmon skin roll, definitely recommend it. The service was good but it did take a long time for them to bring us our food since from the start. Ambiance was just like most of the all you can eat sushi place, a bit dated but clean. I think overall it's not a bad experience, perhaps my expectation was too high since my past experience from this place was so good. read more

Quality has gone down over time. Gave it a few shots over the years and stopped going years ago. Didn't deserve the 5 stars it was once. 2 stars for the good memories while my kids were little and discovering their love for sushi. read more
Yama is located in a pretty dark and semi seedy shopping center, but the parking was ample and well lit compared to the building itself. The hostesses were great and seated us immediately where our server soon greeted us. She was quick to take our drink orders and explained the menu to us. I went with 3 rolls, and 2 sushis. Their tamago and yellowtail were definitely the highlights while the rolls themselves left me craving more flavor. I would give the food quality a 3.5/5 but the service was great and a 5/5. The cost after tax and tip was about $40 a person for AYCE sushi which is probably a little much for what I felt I had in terms of food ROI. $35 woulda been more realistic. I'd probably give it another shot in a few months but it's not a place I'd immediately choose over another. read more

food is great! have been coming for years and i love it ! i went today and the cooks keep YELLING so loud... like every 2 mins they scream.. especially the one in the bandanna and slick back. he's screaming random things too and it's just giving me a headache they've never done this here ... if it is something new i think ill find a new sushi place bc it ruins my dining experience ... anyways gyoza and no name was great! read more

Yama Sushi was worth it for the price and quality. Really enjoyed this local joint. Service was quick, but you should not down what you want beforehand. $30.95 AYCE. Get the BBQ Ribs, the Baked Mussels, and Soft Shell Crab. Make sure to have your order ready while waiting to be seated. read more

This was one my first AYCE sushi I've tried in Las Vegas and so I can't compare it to any others but for the price and quality I thought it was great value! We went on a Saturday night and it was quite busy. Had a hour wait. Service was great. They quickly took our orders and 5 minutes later orders started to fill in. All the nigiri was great. My fave was the smoked salmon. The scallops were my least fav. As for rolls, they have many to choose one. I'm not a big fan of fried or heavily use of cream cheese so I didn't try them but my friends thought they were great. As for other menu items, we tried the tempura udon which was decent. Broth could've used more umami. As for dessert, can't go with mochi ice cream. We were able to easily eat for the full 2 hour allotment. Ambiance is nice. They do have a sushi bar that guests can sit at. I would go again. read more
