It is just a okay food quality wise. I kind of doubt the freshness of the fish to be honest. Everything is midiocre but you get to try a lot of different rolls, nigiri, fry items...all that typical stuff. Service is standard. The restaurant is small and kind of smells "funny" not in a good way for this location on E. Flamingo. I don't think I'm coming back.

Stopped on a Sunday for lunch at Yama Sushi. Many years ago I used to eat here for lunch and decided to try it out again. The restaurant is still nice looking and wasn't very busy. We were promptly greeted and got a table. We did the all you can eat lunch option and tried a range of different dishes. What really stood out to me was a definite change in flavor profiles from what I'm now used to. While we enjoyed many items, others were definitely not what we are used to at sushi restaurants. We really enjoyed the tempura udon. The sushi was all fresh and lightly poked good with a minimal amount of rice. Anything with spicy tuna in it had a texture and different heat/spice element- perhaps the fish was chopped so smoothly that it was almost creamy; but the heat while pronounced, wasn't blended in the way we normally see it. The tempura batter was tasty, but a thicker and heavier batter. Lastly, the green tea and pistachio ice creams had different flavors that we didn't care for. The green tea didn't make me think green tea; and the pistachio had more of a syrupy flavor. All that said, the restaurant got busy as we ate - so clearly other people enjoy their food more than us. I would say the food was okay but nothing special. The service was very good!

I have been coming to Yama Sushi for over 10 years now and it's always consistently delicious. The fish tastes fresh and the appetizers are crispy! It's a cute small place and the service is quick and friendly.

The food was amazing. Very fresh and super delicious. I would say it's the best sushi place in the area. They have a huge menu, plus you won't have to wait too long for your order. All the people who work there make sure you feel welcomed and treat you nicely like you are the only guest there. Atmosphere is also very nice. 10/10!

Great sushi, great service, no wait time, great vibes, good ambiance, overall everything you'd want in a sushi spot for a decent enough price for Vegas

Superb service. Great price for the all you can eat option. Many choices and options on the menu. We came here after work. Everyone was happy with the selection and freshness. I'll be back for sure.

Very good place to come, highly recommend people come here, staff friendly and good service

food is great! have been coming for years and i love it ! i went today and the cooks keep YELLING so loud... like every 2 mins they scream.. especially the one in the bandanna and slick back. he's screaming random things too and it's just giving me a headache they've never done this here ... if it is something new i think ill find a new sushi place bc it ruins my dining experience ... anyways gyoza and no name was great!

My other half has been coming here for 10+yrs. Service from the sushi chef was trash. We sat at the bar. I was highly disappointed. I think it was just the sushi chef at the time. Food was great though. Will come back to try it again. Sushi was Fresh. Rolls were good. S/o out our waitress and the manager they were so kind and appreciative of the business regardless of the service.

I really like the location on Eastside on flamingo road. Plenty of parking and lots of seating space. Yama Sushi is a must-visit spot for all-you-can-eat sushi in Las Vegas. The fish is fresh, the rolls are creative, and the service is fast and friendly. Their nigiri and specialty rolls come out beautifully plated, and the kitchen items like garlic edamame and tempura are great additions. It's a busy place, especially during peak hours, but totally worth the wait. Great value for the quality you get! This place is all about better fish to rice ratio. Do t sleep on the soft shell crab and the kbbq short ribs.

Outstanding service, with very high quality ingredients. I was blown away by not only the portions but the selection offered on their AYCE menu. Everything from premium rolls to Takoyaki and Uni. This place is by far the best to get your fix for Japanese all around. Can't wait to return!

Disappointing Flavors, But a Hardworking Staff…read more I visited hoping for a satisfying Japanese meal, but unfortunately the food fell short on almost every front. The Ultimate Ramen, despite its name, was underwhelming -- mediocre at best, lacking the depth and richness you'd expect from a bowl with that kind of billing. The sushi rolls were equally disappointing. Both the California Roll and the Philly Roll suffered from bland, flavorless rice -- the foundation of any good sushi. The sweetness and tanginess that should come through in well-seasoned sushi rice were completely absent. The Philly Roll was especially let down by the cream cheese, which had virtually no taste and added nothing to the roll. Even the wasabi lacked any real heat or pungency, which honestly surprised me the most. The one bright spot was the service. Our server was working the floor entirely on her own and still managed to be attentive and pleasant throughout. That kind of dedication deserves recognition. Overall, the kitchen needs to revisit its seasoning and flavor profiles across the board. With some attention to the basics properly seasoned rice, quality ingredients, and bold condiments, this place could be so much better. For now, it's hard to recommend.

I don't think they are usually this busy though, as they were definitely understaffed that evening. Service was consistent throughout the night, and the servers were cheerful and doing their best to take care of everyone. The restaurants design is very relaxed, with some optional bar seating to watch the chefs cook and roast the skewers, with additional options for booths. After 10 PM, they offer a happy hour special with $5 hand rolls, cheap drinks, and basically half off of all their skewers, potatoes, and small bites. On the particular evening that we went, either they were extra busy and had too much customers from CES... but they ran out of sushi rice and did not have any hand rolls....How does a Japanese restaurant run out of rice??? We were super disappointed and ended up just getting skewers. Itzakaya Tora, you definitely need to step up your game and have better management in the future for these big events. I don't think they are that new of a restaurant, but they definitely let me down. Chicken and pork skewers ($2 per skewer, 7/10) - super juicy! You can definitely taste the charcoal and barbecue flavor. They do a great job of keeping each skewer, moist and juicy, that I didn't feel like I was eating burnt skewers like you get at some other restaurants. - $2 per skewer is pretty good for the happy hour deal, but I think it's much more expensive during the regular menu option. Don't think it would be particularly worth it with their regular menu. Overall, super disappointed that they didn't have any more of their sushi, rice and best do not have any $5 hand rolls during their happy hour. Also, the wait was super long to get in, and they were definitely understaffed. If they had all their food selections available, this would probably be a higher rating, but the long weight and lack of menu items was super disappointing.

I have come by for happy hour multiple times which is when they do these $5 hand rolls, I could be wrong but I believe they are $5. I recall getting yellowtail and it's delicious. Izakaya Tora is a Japanese restaurant off of paradise really close to the strip and the sphere. It is fairly small, but they have non ayce sushi which does = higher prices but better quality. They have a pretty large menu of kitchen items, sake and drinks, and sushi and sashimi. At this visit we shared a scallop crudo that we liked, a yellowtail crudo that we loved, lamb chops were good, and I believe three rolls. One of the rolls we didn't like because they make the srirachi in house which was more sweet than spicy, but the others were good. I do like this place but it is not a quick stop type of place. It's a spot you come and hang out and take your time. Food can take some time but worth it with the quality and taste. It is also not cheap so more a quality over quantity situation. Service can be a little slow but pleasant. Overall I do like this spot for happy hour if I want a late night drink and bite of sushi.

Incredibly delicious!…read more When on a Vegas trip with my friends and in desperate need of some sushi, we Doordashed Ono Sushi to our hotel on the Strip. Despite it being a busy Saturday night, the food was finished quickly. We were impressed by how affordable it was for how much food we got. It was insanely delicious. The nigiri had a perfect fish to rice ratio and were juicy and tender. The rolls held up well and were not overloaded with rice. The kimchi fried rice was warm and flavorful. We enjoyed this meal so much so that we decided we would visit them in-person the following day. When we pulled into the parking lot and saw the sign that said "All You Can Eat," I think I started jumping with joy. Being a California native, I am incredibly shocked to say that this is the best sushi I've ever had! It is also the largest sushi menu I have seen - it has a Cheesecake Factory level of items on the menu. We got to ordering the Bulgogi fries as a starter. They were super juicy, sloppy, and delicious. I was hesitant to order them but was pleasantly surprised. I was thrilled with all the nigiri options. There was only a little rice and the flavors of the fish really shined. The seared salmon was definitely my group's favorite because of how tender it was. The A Monkey's Dream roll was shockingly good. I would have never expected a caramelized banana and sushi pairing so well together. The crispy bits on top of the Sunrise Roll were delicious. The rolls were all thick, saucy, and super flavorful. If I had to stomach capacity to try them all, I totally would. This spot is relatively small with only a few tables. When we went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, it was pretty much empty. Considering you have a 90 minute eating period for the AYCE, the food came out super fast after placing them with the waitress. To me it felt like the waitress didn't come by often, but some of my party disagreed. For the low price of $27 (lunch price) for such high quality AYCE sushi, if I'm in the area again, I will definitely be coming back.
