It was great for the day before my race as I could choose to eat more protein and carbs and as much as I wanted. The characters were fun to interact with as they visited our table, and even came back if my grandparents were up getting food when they first stopped by. My grandparents really enjoyed everything about it. The photographer as we left Chef Mickey's was a blast! I gave her a cast compliment at the time and saw her again right before my race the next day. Is it the fanciest of foods? No. Was it a bit loud at times? Yes. But we enjoyed ourselves.

While looking for somewhere to celebrate a special occasion and using the July Passholder discounts, I came across some open lunch times at Be Our Guest,  one place we haven't been since its opening. I was a bit concerned after reading all the negative reviews but quickly realized that you can't always believe everything you read on the internet. Upon checking in with the Hostess, I requested the West Wing as I heard that this dining room is the more secluded part of the castle and most quiet. I had to admit that we found eating with artificial candlelight a bit romantic which created the mood. Dillon our server was extremely helpful and walked us through the menu and made the necessary recommendations. I have to admit,  I cheated when making the reservation and looked at the menu, so I already had a good idea of what I was going to order but always like to hear the other options. I went with the Tuna Tartar which as a meal of itself for the appetizer and for the main course, which is my go-to, the Fillet. I also asked for medium rare as it tends to come back as medium anyway. A last-minute change to the Enchanted Rose for the desert was a welcome surprise. It was delicious and I didn't even have to ask the dishes.  I must say that this was the BEST meal I ever had on Property in all the years of eating at Disney. MK has never been our favorite place to eat, so it was a welcomed surprise. The food was extremely high quality, and the service was bar none. Yes, it can come at a cost, so buyer beware but since this was a special occasion, we decided to splurge a bit. The passholder discount made it a bit easier to swallow no pun intended. But coming from a frequent Disney Cruiser, I found it equal in many ways to the fine dining you would get on a Disney ship.  The Beast did make two appearances while dining, and he does this without Belle. No spoilers but just keeping it real.  Be warned that although he does not stop at each individual table, nor does he allow for a photo opportunities, he does do a quick walk-through waving and then a final bow to all his guests. All in all, I found the "Be our Guest" restaurant a pleasant surprise and would highly recommend to anyone who has hasn't had the experience of dining in the Beast's Castle. Please be sure to take some time to walk around all the dining areas to take in the themed decorations and artwork throughout the castle. The restrooms are also well themed to go along with the overall experience.

While in Magic Kingdom over the weekend, we decided to try to find a last minute reservation for something close to where we were and BOG was the only thing available so we decided to give it a try. The castle itself and dining rooms are a bit "nicer" than what you get at many of the "character dining" restaurants- places that typically have a cafeteria like dining room but meet and greets with the characters. I think if evaluated on that point alone, BOG is better in the sense that it feels more on par with what you're paying, you're just not getting any one on one time with characters. We were seated in the west wing, which was cool because it was a much smaller dining room with dimmed lighting. We enjoyed watching the painting change every time it "thundered". The food was also a bit better than the buffet food, except my partner had a plate of greens accompanying his steak and with the current cyclospora outbreak, it felt risky, so he didn't eat that. The worst part of our meal was our waiter. I'm not sure what's been going on with the waiters lately, but it feels like they always act so put out. We don't ask for anything outside of ordering our meal, and are always polite, so it feels super uncomfortable to have a server act like you're an imposition when you're simply just trying to enjoy an evening out. My husband has a severe dairy allergy but he hates to inconvenience anyone about it, so I asked if there were any dairy free options for the French onion soup, since WDW Is usually extremely accommodating with allergies, often having plant based alternatives for many dishes. The waiter, Wilson, replied that there was, and later when our food gets there, it's a bowl of French onion soup, minus the cheese. This would have been fine had he simply said, we can only do it without cheese. But to confirm there is a plant based alternative only for it to be half the item, was odd. My husband was like, it's okay, it's really good. I then try it, and say to him, it just tastes like normal French onion soup broth, and he's like, yeah, I know. At least he had a good attitude about it. For a meal that comes out to close to $300 for two adults, a toddler and a baby, who didn't order anything, you'd expect slightly better service.

It is served macchiato style, so I recommend stirring the milk with the coffee for the best flavor. The marshmallow syrup is perfect and the graham cracker, chocolate, marshmallow, and whipped cream toppings are the stars of the show. Definitely give it a try!

It was unbelievably unorganized. The mobile order area was so chaotic, the staff seemed to be unaware of how to assemble and distribute orders. We asked several times if our order was being worked on because our app said it was in progress. They all said yes we are working on it. Yet it literally took an hour. The counters were bare of cutlery, napkins and straws. We were given no salad dressing with our salad, there was barely any sauce on our pasta and the adult serving was just as small as a child's meal. We frequent Disney multiple times a year and we hate to complain, but this was just unacceptable. We tried to be very patient. There was no apology or any offer to rectify our bad experience when we spoke with the cast member at the pick up window. We did have breakfast there the next morning and it was perfectly fine. The staff was organized, friendly and the food was great. We did not mobile order at breakfast due to the situation at dinner.

We were sat at a corner table for 4 that was unfortunately way too close to the wall and tall pillar that it felt cramp especially when having to get up everytime because my son could only come out one way and then we keep bumping on to the table next door. Cleanliness is as what you would expect of Disney properties from the dining areas, food counters and restrooms. FOOD For a buffet, we were very shocked to discover that one of the dish we enjoyed the most were the tofu. The chicken nugget on the cornbread was so delicious with the Chicken slightly sweetened with honey. Selections were not overwhelming, but sufficient for hungry people of old ages. Desserts were just ok. CUSTOMER SERVICE I have to say that service was a little bit off that day compared to other character dining experience we've had. Server was OK. Goofy seemed perturbed that we had to call him back to take pictures. Buffet line Nate Carver was really nice. Mickey and Minnie were adorable and took time to adore my bestie's special ears. Overall, this experience alright. The food were delicious and selection is not bad but it did seem lackluster compared to other character dining experiences. Chef Mickey choices were far better, so my family and I kind of wrote them off. Well that was until this week! Disney offered pass holders 40% off so we decided to give it another try for dinner! And boy am I glad we did!We really came for the characters and got so much more! The food was really good for a buffet, and seasoned well! Our favorites with the Spiced BBQ Chicken, Sweet chili salmon, cornbread pudding, Mac and cheese with bacon, and Brussels sprouts were great!!! My kids really enjoyed the pizza and Mac & cheese! There was a major hiccup when we checked in. My husband was told that they were 30 minutes behind reservations time. We had a 7:50 pm reservation which meant our table wouldn't be ready until almost 8:30. I had my 12 week old son with us, so this was a bummer. They said they would text us when the table was ready. We never received a text (my husband actually got it the next morning at 1:30 am!). After 30 minutes we decided to all back up to the restaurant to find that the hostess desk was packed up and that they had taken their last reservation for the night. The hostess was able to speak to the manager, and they did accommodate us. Unfortunately, we were only able to see the characters once and we kind of felt like dinner was rushed as a result. The main buffet section had breads, salad, gumbo/soup, a carving station, pasta, salmon, fried chicken with gravy, mashed potatoes, creole shrimp and grits, and more that I'm forgetting. There was a large dessert section. Best mashed potatoes I've tasted. Freshly baked chocolate chip cookies we're almost as good as my Grandma's. The room looked very fancy and had a friendship day banner to go with the Winnie the Pooh theme. It wasn't super busy the day we went so we got to meet the characters several times, they said usually you only get to meet the characters once because the volume of people are usually so high but we saw each character about 3 times each, it made for a very special birthday! We ate during lunch/dinner it was a 3pm reservation and it's buffet style. It was absolutely delicious, and I mean SO SO GOOD! I was shocked! They had collared greens, salmon, creole shrimp and so much more. I was in heaven, whomever was cooking- please cater my wedding because MAN it was so delightful. My mom and I kept going back over and over again, it was that good! They had a decent selection, a very good range of stuff and great deserts as well. The server very nice gentlemen (left him a cast compliment) brought me a cupcake and sang happy birthday to me. And another special thing. I recreated pictures with the characters from when I was little it was the sweetest thing. I would do so this again. The price was well worth it.
