I've been here a few times and the food has always been okay, though not spectacular. Today I ordered the catfish - after one bite, I knew something tasted off. I pulled back the breading and the fish was grayed, smelled off, and had an old, freezer burnt taste. I still ate my soup and baked potato. Before paying, I told the man at the cashier (who I believe was the manager) that the fish didn't taste right and described the problem. I told him I'd still eaten my soup and the veggies and was happy to pay for that but would like a price adjustment since I didn't touch the fish. The man then told me that catfish were bottom feeders and that I didn't know how catfish was supposed to taste. Taken aback, I responded by telling the man that I had been eating catfish my entire life and know what old catfish tastes like when it's been sitting in the refrigerator or freezer for too long. The manager then raised his voice with me and told me he was "doing me a favor" by taking off the price of the catfish and to "not catch an attitude with him." I certainly didn't have an attitude and didn't know why he raised his voice to me so quickly. I will not be returning to this establishment based on the manager's treatment of the guests. read more

We placed our order on a Sunday afternoon. The Waitress was pleasant enough. Sodas were watered down significantly. Almost no carbonation. I exchanged it for lemonade. No problem. However, one of the members of my party orders cheese sticks. Unfortunately, the cheese wasn't melted inside. She also ordered fried fish and when she broke the fish, we could all smell ammonia. She called the waitress over to have it removed. Unfortunately, the cook felt compelled to come to our table and say she probably just wasn't in the mood for fish. He insisted the fish was fresh and he had just changed the oil. He seemed really offended that she didn't want the fish that we all could smell. He said the wait staff was offended because they work hard. Now, I'm not sure what his wait staff has to do with the freshness of the fish but, his behavior was totally unnecessary. I ordered the Slim Jim, which was incredibly salty but, I dared not complain. We definitely will not be returning. read more

Buyer beware!! First the good: The place is clean, the food is always great and the staff very customer friendly. Now my experience: Today, I looked up my Large Greek Salad on their website which is listed as 8.98 and called in an order for pick up through the drive thru. When I arrived, it was ready and I was handed a bill for 12.67. When I questioned them, I was handed a menu with the new price circled. I was then given the unruly customer brush off: Have a nice day SIR! No concern over why I was not pleased. I would been happy to share my discontent by suggesting they update their menu pricing so others do not feel like I now feel. So, if you place an order, you will not be disappointed in the food, staff or their efficient handling of your order. You might be a bit irritated when you get your bill. Enjoy! read more

Discovered this gem recently. Lots of menu options, most everything is homemade and the servings are generous. Waitstaff does a nice job in helping you select and telling you what's really good. They also have beer and wine options and everything is reasonably priced. read more

This is a really tiny restaurant. The wait was pretty long. The tiny place was PACKED &there were only 2 waitresses. Idky :/ anyways, I guess they prioritize their drive thru customers first. They also deliver too. I had the new your steak Philly with grilled onions and mushrooms. It was delicious &their coleslaw is beyond creamy amazing! Kinda long BUT....I ordered takeout tonight for the 1st time from here. I ordered a chicken pita with fries, chicken tender "snack" for my kids, and saganaki. The delivery driver was great! He was wearing a mask, said thank you, handed me my food and off he went. Heres where it got bad....I realized they forgot the fries so I called to let them know. Usually I would just say whatever but my kids love their fries and were looking forward to them (and I already paid for them). The lady that answered the phone right away sounded rude/annoyed and told me that they wouldnt be able to deliver them for about 2 hours (what....lol). I would have to drive up or she would add it to my next bill. I said well I feel you should make it right instead and thats when she turned the phone away and in the background said "theres no way we can bring them to Joy and Farmington right now".....The manager finally got on and said he would deliver them, which he did! I just feel like that lady that answered the phone needs some customer service skills. I work at a grocery store so I understand being busy right now, but people are trying to give you business during this time, please be nice and treat them well! read more

This is your typical coney island type place. They do have a drive-thru and be advised that what is on the menu there is not the full menu. If you ask them, you can pull up and they will give you a real menu from inside to order off of. We have also called ahead and then gone through the drive-thru to get our food. They are fast and the food is overall OK. I like being able to get omelets all the time and it is what brings me back as a repeat customer. There salads are mediocre and they seem to water down their dressing sometimes. My husband likes their chicken sandwich which is a pretty large portion in my opinion. I have been here now several times. It is not that expensive, and if you check your local saver books (always sending coupons). There is a lot to choose from and some of the food is homemade! Mostly all the staff is friendly and they become just like family. You won't go away from here hungry. From salad, soup, to the entree, even desert. Clean good food, OK service so disappointed owner thinks not including full price breakfast as a option in Groupon order will send them to the poor house. Horrible service. After waiting 45 minutes and watching two other tables that sat down after us get there meek first we still received the wrong food. They had no remorse for the wrong order or the slow service time. This use to one of our favorite places but they have been in decline for mouths. I have almost always been happy at Marko's. Been a regular customer for years. But this one incident happened ( and it is a repeat ), so I have to give the bad review and explain what happened. Owner got some ribeye steaks and was trying to get me to order one. He bragged how thick they were. Did not purchase that day, but did so days later. Was not a think steak. Was 1/2 fat and burnt a good bit since it had so much fat was causing flareups ( that is how it looked and tasted ). I kept cutting out the good meat to eat ( was edible but burnt ). When I got done, about 1/2 of the steak was left ( as fat ). I did them a favor by not sending it back but attempting to eat it. The waitress even asked if I wanted a box - not realizing the it was all fat ( and I was not going to eat it ). I asked for a reduction in cost and was refused. I paid $17.95 ( for one of his great steaks that he bragged about ) and wanted a reduction in cost ( that sounded reasonable to me since I ate the salad and the mashed potatoes. If I were an owner, I would be really appologisng to that steak and would be happy for a reduction and thanking God that I did not refuse to pay. My wife turned hers back because it was too fatty ( a small amount for hers ) and he did cut that cost out of the bill. I just think that when you promise quality and refuse to back that up when it fails, I think you have ripped me off. Buy the way, this burnted/fatty steak has happened before and I did not ask for refund ( because I like supporting this establishment - but this kicked me the wrong way. the food is normally good ( with a few hickups from a new cook ), so go if you want, but do not purchase anything expensive, because the owner may or may not backup up his quality. read more
