If you want some good breakfast that comes in big portions well this is your place. I would ride past here all the time and always said I was going to stop well I finally did and they did not disappoint. It's the basic coney style restaurant but they open early and close early. They have nice waitress and quick service. Me and husband both decided on one of the skillet plates, he had chicken and I had the all meat. Both were very good and you really can order one and share it, it's just that big. The restaurant is nice and clean. I will be going again but will try something different. read more

My dad recommended this place from his Detroit pd years from back in the day and honesty. I was pleasantly surprised Me being a sandwich guy I ordered the chickenator sandwich. Took that first bite and it's was good the flavorful chicken breast was marinated greatly. Although I think it could use an update maybe a spicy Mayo instead of reg Mayo. For that reason I got it with out the Mayo. The only other problem with the sandwich was the huge tomato I mean Daym. But over all the sandwich to me was still a 4.9 out of 5 again shows it's not hard to ruin a chicken sandwich but still rather rather impossible. At least with my fair share of experiences read more

The servers in this restaurant are rude, I am paying money for the food, hard earned money, and I can't get my food the way I like. How are you not going to have items on the menu that you serve, yet you won't allow substitutions. Also an employee hung up on me and then my 11 year old son. I am a stage 4 cancer patient, my diet is very specific, this order completely stressed me out being treated with such disrespect. Do not patronize this establishment. I have 5 star for the service and presentation of the food. To me it's a hole in the wall type place it's clean but I need them to clean the window ledges they are very dusty and people sit near that. My first time here o ordered simple stuff o just needed a little something to carry on with my day so I ordered a small bowl of chicken noodle soup and a Gyro sandwich. The soup was just ok the Gyro wasn't good they had three very thin sliced Cesar of gyro it's not the kind off the spit it's gotta a bitter taste and too salty I ate half of it because I was hungry and wasn't about to waste my money it's 6.95 for that. They have good service AND I'm sure the other food taste better I saw someone with an omelet that was huge and falling off the plate I should have went with that. The menu is decent and enough to select from its sort of Coney Islandish in there drove by for years never stopped until now . Looks like a lot regulars come in waitresses was using first names as people walk in. They practicing social distance and you can dine in. Clearly a family run place. Waitstaff you and attentive... All must be brothers and sisters, teenagers. Not big on conversation but attentive and friendly. Portions huge! Coffee decent and plentiful. This restaurant is located right on Telegraph in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. It is not a large restaurant by all means. I would say it is an upgrade from a Ram's Horn Restaurant. The menu is not quite extensive, but what they do serve is delicious. The restaurant appears to be quite clean and the waitresses seem to thoroughly enjoy their jobs, which means they keep customers happy. There is a counter where you could sit and eat at, but the area is quite cramped. Coffee is plentiful, the waitstaff always have a pot in their hand to fill up your cup. I wouldn't say that the food is "Finer" as the name of the restaurant indicates, but the food is good and as far as handling it appears to be safe. You know some restaurants you just don't know about!!! I have not had a bad experience at this establishment, the servers are really nice and accommodating, and what can I say the food is decent, especially for breakfast. Have not been here for lunch, but I did look over the menu and they do offer specialties, such as City Chicken - which sounded good to me. If you want food that tastes like "home cooked" this restaurant fulfills the order! With Connor's being friendly, clean, and close by I definitely will return to this restaurant. Like I said, it is a smaller restaurant and the feel of it is like you are entering into a "friendly" atmosphere. I will have to return for lunch or dinner one day in the future to see if the food is up to par. read more

Located right down the street from my work, Telegraph Grill (formerely Connor's) is your typical quaint diner. My co-workers and I have ordered carry out from them on multiple occasions to sample the menu. Homemade soups vary daily but the vegetable beef hits the spot on a cold winter's night. Only complaint there is not enough beef but loaded with great assortment of veggies. BLT was delicious although Gyro was just so so. Very friendly staff, fair prices and a short wait time make this a good spot to put into your lunch rotation in the Redford/Dearborn Heights area. read more

UPDATE: This restaurant is now closed. I used to frequent this location when it was known as Connor's. It was always packed, the service was quick and awesome, and the food was hot, inexpensive and delicious. I decided to take my husband there on a whim one Saturday morning only to find that it was no longer Conner's. We decided to give it a go anyway. Serious error in judgement. We should have known when, on a Saturday morning, there were only three other cars in the lot. Inside was clean, so that was a good start, but things just went downhill from there. The coffee tasted like hot water with a brown crayon dipped in it. The gyro my husband ordered was some kind of fake, "steak-ums" kind of faux lamb, that was greasy, tasteless and disgusting. The sandwich was crammed full of onions, with just a tiny bit of "meat". Even that we might have overlooked, and just agreed to not come back, but when I got to the black curly hair that was BAKED INTO MY PANCAKE, I was appalled. When we brought it to the attention of the server, she apologized, agreed it was gross and said she would not have finished it herself if she was me, but then did not offer a replacement, a discount or anything. This is a good spot for breakfast and lunch. It's basically a common, affordable coney island but a little nicer. Try the Beast Omelette, it's 5 eggs, 3 meats, 3 veggies and 2 cheeses for only $8.50. The only thing that I don't like is that they close early and aren't open for dinner. read more

I'll start by saying the food was good. That was not the problem. The issue was with delivery. I ordered from Telegraph Grill through Doordash.com. I've been using them for awhile and had no issues with other restaurants. What happened was some genius (and I use the term lightly) decided it was a good idea to put biscuits and gravy in a Styrofoam fold-over container. Yep, just a container that folds over and snaps into a slot on the bottom side. You know how well those containers stay closed. Imagine getting an overly full container like this with biscuits and gravy in it. Yeah, you guessed it! Most of it ended up inside the bag, all over everything else inside. Napkins, plastic ware, butter packs, etc. AND to top it all off, they put the biscuits in with the gravy so they were mush when they got here. What on earth possessed the person packing this food to put viscus liquid in a container that won't seal???? I don't fault Doordash, as there was no way for the driver to know a sub par container was used for liquid food. smdh read more

I wanted to try something new so the home cooking sign reeled me in. It was nothing that I expected! I ordered chicken dinner special w salad & baked potato. The salad was old! & gross! & when they brought my food out the potato was actually rotten! They actually have the decency to serve a person a cooked rotten potatoe! It was Connors for years and although they've changed owners/management their food and service has always remained excellent and very friendly. Decided to go to the Telegraph Grill on a whim, not a very good decision. Decor is pretty nondescript. Waitress was anything but pleasant or charming. Wait time for food wasn't quick especially since I ordered a simple breakfast. At the time when my order was taken, requested the breakfast special. When I asked if a substitution could be made "yes, that's ok". When my check arrived noticed that I had not been charged for the special. When I brought it up at checkout to the same waitress that had served me, she made no apologies and said because of the substitution it didn't qualify for the special. No sorry or thank you, just dead silence as I left the counter. Don't worry Telegraph Grill, won't be back! read more
