Blackened fish with water logged mushy fries
    R K.

I was all excited about the fish fry. I got the "blackened" or so they called it. After over an hour wait, the food arrived. Yuck. The blackened fish was swiming in water and with some sort of spice on top of the fish. I couldn't eat it. The fries tasted as though they were boiled with absolutely no crisp to them. The waitress said the fish was baked with spices. Do an AI search for blackened and it tells you its placed in an extremely hot pan for a few minutes and not baked. If I wanted baked, I would gave asked for that. My first and last time here.

Came here with a group of 7 for lunch after boating on the lake all afternoon. We walked up right around 4pm and were quickly directed to one of the larger tables in the center of the dining room. Our server was very friendly and not at all bothered by the larger size of our party. We ordered quickly and the food was out within 15 minutes. My bf and I split an order of 10 wings and the stuffed jumbo shrimp that comes with two sides. We asked to mix the buffalo and garlic sauces and the sever brought out buffalo garlic parm, which we were more than ok with. The wings were crispy, but the sauce needed a little salt. The shrimp came out and were honestly smaller than we expected when we read "jumbo", but were still extremely delicious. It ended up being pretty filling with the two sides. We chose the rice pilaf and the mac and cheese. Both sides also needed some salt, but pretty good. The mac and cheese reminded me of a popular kind from the freezer section. The bathrooms were smaller, but clean. They have a ton of parking available directly out front and just slightly up the hill on the side of the building. This is a great place to enjoy a meal on the water. There is an outdoor patio with a separate menu that is all cooked over charcoal. The decor and ambiance really make you think you could be in a beach town somewhere.

    And throw back !

Great ride on the motorcycle, beautiful quiet ride. The food was good and the service was really good. It was busy but fast service. Nice view of the lake.

The view is very nice! Food is good and people are nice. Enjoyable place. Lakeview is unique and very nice. Will be back!

Great view! Huge place. Lots of seating. Food and drinks are pretty good! Very affordable! Great service! But it doesn't look like anyone has cleaned or sprayed for a year. There was moss growing from a window, every possible surface was covered in webs and dead bugs. Ready for Halloween . Wondering if they only clean the indoor seating? Anyway, it's a nice small town lake restaurant. Just ignore the 80 million dead bugs.

Shared the crab cake and red wine mussels. Both are excellent. I went for a seasonal sea bass which was grilled to golden brown, seasoned perfectly. Stuffed shrimps got a very nice comments. The elegant atmosphere, complete with white tablecloths and candlelit tables, makes for a memorable dining experience. The service was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. Our appetizer was phenomenal, especially the crab cake--it was one of the highlights of the meal. We also tried the crab mac & cheese, which was rich, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering. The portions are on the smaller side, but by the end of the meal we were completely satisfied. Our only disappointment was the fish entrées, as both were a bit overcooked. Aside from that, everything else was excellent. Overall, it's a gorgeous restaurant with outstanding service, delicious appetizers, and a wonderful atmosphere. We'd gladly return and would recommend it for anyone looking for a special night out.

Ordered the "Linner" (buffet) which was hit or niss, more miss. Namely, I'll run down some particulars. Chicken parm? Ugh. Dry and coagulated. The breaded shrimp and Coconut shrimp-both greasy. Pulled pork- that was a winner. BBQ rib ends- a bit fatty, but tasty. Cod over lemon rice- was dry and unappealing. And so on.....hey, it's a buffet, and as I mentioned, some of the items were a bit lacking but you'll have that; oddly, struck me as not unlike a Golden Corral. Now here's the twist. Myself, I actually DID spring for the "all you can eat crab legs and steak", and they were both quite good, and the server was attentive to bringing out more on the regular. Just realize, it's like $69 for that option. Pricey? Depends on your indulgence for crab :-) . End of the day, a "meh" experience, and I probably wouldn't make the effort to return Show less

We were one of three cars in the parking lot. The way all this works is that food is brought out to you instead of a buffet style. This keeps the servers busy, which can lead to some delays. I opted to not get the crab, but did have everything else. I walk say that the majority of my food came out cold. Nothing had great flavor and nothing was tender. It was dry, rubbery and tasted like it was made previously and microwaved. Service was good, the place appeared clean, food disappointing.

A front door that is difficult to open and close, a narrow seating area and a beat up bar. They have two TV's in the bar and only one works. So how in the world do they get 5 stars you ask? The food. Plain and simple. The menu has a nice variety of choices. Justine, the bar keep tonight recommends several choices on the menu and then says the one thing I ALWAYS get. The Grilled Reuben. I order it with onion rings. The sandwich looks formidable. A half pound of chopped corned beef smoked in house between two beautiful slices of rye with melted Swiss, grilled sauerkraut and plenty of 1000 island dressing. The onion rings are not hand made... disappointing... but still very nice. This sandwich though... wow! Superb, juicy, flavorful, perfect... simply perfect! For my taste I would toss the corned beef with a little sour cream and a touch of horseradish but, that's me. It really doesn't need it, this stands on it own very nicely. But really the piece de resistance is the Macadamia Key Lime Pie. Hand made by the mother of the owner, this is a one of a kind dessert. The crust, flaky and wonderful, the filling, perfectly tart, the whipped cream is fresh and it is finished with chopped macadamia nuts and toasted coconut. Now, I hate coconut on pies. I feel this would be literally the greatest pie ever if the coconut were simply removed and used as a garnish on the plate. If Ma Mike were to do that and then toast the macadamia nuts it would easily be in my top 2 desserts of all time. But, even with that said, even with the coconut on there, I look forward to eating it again. It was simply amazing. So, if you find yourself near Salem. Drop into Mike's. It is worth the time and the prices are very fair. Say hi to Justin for me.
