    Pepperoni pizza

We just got here from Texas, and walked around. Our guide wanted to bring us here. The front counter is very inviting, but it is a tight fit when you order. There is room on the other side of the wall, more room to sit down as a group. Service is polite, and very courteous. Great attitude. Funny guys. We got the spinach roll, very cheesy and a lot of spinach. The spinach was a bit overpowering, but the roll was tasted just right. Our concierge had the slice of pepperoni pizza, nice big slice, nice and greasy,. Not sure if it's against the law to fold it, she didn't, lol. Bottle and can sodas. So, the had some rice pudding, and I asked if it is as good as Mexican rice pudding. He said it was better. So I had to make sure. Well, he was almost right. It is just as good as Mexican rice pudding. Just they don't serve it hot. The rice pudding was delicious. Just one bathroom.

This place is expensive. They charged me $9 for 2 slices and did not warm the slices very well. I came to my office and took the bite, and it was cold. I had to warm it again in my office microwave. Pizza was mediocre, and it did not taste fresh. I get cheaper slices in Long Island and fresh. I will not go there again.

The pizza is solid. It's not too doughy and not too crispy. It has a good flavor and was made quickly. I would try other items on the menu next time. Try this place if you are in Red Hook and want a quick slice.

Solid pizza place! Good pizza, good dinners and sandwiches too! I also really like the Red Hook salad w. creamy Italian. As a bonus, they usually have some delicious chocolate mousse on hand, that I can't resist! Pizza places that use Grande pizza cheese, always have the better pizza, imo. It's down my block, so I don't eat in, but there's a few tables that you can sit and eat your slice at.

Gotta say, this is the best pizza we've had in NYC, swirls of cheesy goodness and perfect amount of tomato sauce. They always get the dough just right, unlike some 'fancy' places that seem to like to burn the crust(?). Service is speedy and friendly. I don't get how some other reviews are so low, they must be competitors or just clueless complainers. Anyways, great place, perfect for when you get pizza cravings.

Ooos ate the buffalo chicken slice and the grandma so fast we did not get a picture......yummy.

I also consider myself a pizza connoisseur, next to ribeyes, barbecue and key lime pie, I'm probably saying my fourth is pizza. It's totally different than Chicago pizza, and I think it's because of the water I really do!!! What separates pizza places are either the ingredients, or in this place, what separates them is their crust. They make everything fresh right in front of you, pictures are below. Jennie took our order and she walked us through the menu. We ended up getting a big margherita pizza. My son got the 2 tomato slices, he isn't a big cheese fan. My wife got pepperoni, they have beef pepperoni or pork pepperoni. Mikey Love was really cool he came out and greeted me. My kids got a drink, and then guess what, their gelato was actually top tier. I went for pizza and found out the Geloto was was awesome. You go to a pizza place and then get gelato. They had vanilla and watermelon, it was so good. Cash only, BYOB (with rules depending on how many people), and a time limit on the table. Know what you want when you sit down. Menu is easy, pizza, calzones, sometimes pasta. Simple. Is it worth waiting in line for - maybe - if you have 2-3 hours free and nothing else to do and it's a nice day, sure. But honestly can't say I am running back to do it again. Waiting in line to get added to a waitlist that still doesn't always guarantee you will sit down to eat at the requested time - we were seated 40 mins after checking in (unusually long, never had more then 20 mins or so in past visits) but still a strange system, keeps the spot exclusive I'd guess. Have visited several times and always have had a good meal and the prices are very fair. Seating is not super comfortable and they pack you in for real, the restaurant is also unnecessarily dark and loud - But not in a bad way? I can't explain it but the very delicious pizza makes up for the weird ambiance and all the rules... definitely something to experience atleast once.

I've eaten here, come to the Bushwick Block Party to see Action Bronson perform, and spent enough time around Tiki Disco to associate the place with a particularly inventive, free-spirited period in the neighborhood. The dining area still has that wonderfully idiosyncratic character: exposed beams, communal tables, mismatched details, and an open kitchen turning out genuinely excellent pizza. What impresses me most is how naturally Roberta's became more than a restaurant. Food, music, parties, outdoor spaces, and an extraordinary mix of people all seemed to converge here, giving the place a cultural gravity that could never have been designed by committee. It remains one of those places that instantly takes me back to my bachelor years and an especially fun chapter of my time in the city, when Bushwick felt endlessly creative, and Roberta's seemed to sit comfortably at its center. This is the first restaurant we've been to with 20% auto gratuity for a party under 6. But the borderline dishonest part is that the check that you sign tells you in tiny letters that tip was already added, but has huge font for additional tip and written out tip calculations, so it is very easy to tip 40% without noticing. Sometimes I do tip extra generously, but I don't want to feel like I was tricked into doing it! Looking thru reviews here, I see other people also experienced this, including people in small parties who were locked into the 20% when it should have definitely been 18%. :/ So close to a good experience, but ruined by tricksy billing.
