I came here today; I got 2 slices and a beverage. The pizza was excellent and the slices are on the bigger side. The service is friendly. The only thing stopping me from giving this place 5 stars is I wish there was a bathroom and they can have more than 2 tables. When I walk pass this pizza shop. From the outside looking in I said oh no. But once I was able to read the Yelp reviews and read so many positive feedback. I said I would give it a try on this Friday afternoon. I'm not going like it was a packed house. So I know they food has to be fresh and flavorful. Staff was extremely professional and friendly. He answer all the questions I asked him on the different types of pizza that was available. I then quickly put in my order. He made sure to repeat my order and then told me it would be a 15 to 18 min wait. Since I order a large pie. I had 3 slices back to back. The cheese pizza was freshly prepared in my face which is a bonus for me. And once they pop that pizza in the oven I know I was going to demolish it. Excellent service read more

On The Run is a good slice joint that separates themselves by also having customer service DOWN. I walked in, ordered five pies for delivery, and asked them to throw in 60 zeppole.* The pies were delivered on time with plates and napkins, cut into 16 slices each like I asked, and both the pizza and the zeppole were fresh, hot, and tasty. No problems. This is my favorite Coney Island pizza joint now. That was not the case here at On the Run. My slice was cooked to perfection, just enough cheese and very soft crust, not burnt. The pizza was so good that I told the owner that it was one of the best pizza slices that I've had. There are about four tables for dine in orders and there is window bar stool seating as well. The pepperoni rolls are the real deal here, not those small teasers that don't put a dent in your hunger pangs. They have just enough meat and cheese to satisfy you. I get it's good for the price but C'mon the sauce was undercooked. Cheese was subpar. I just don't think it was good enough to run against other local pizzerias. The up side is that I fed 6 people pizza, garlic twists (those were really good) and waters for under $30. So, I guess in that sense it's hard to beat. read more

OH MY GOD! This place is the holy Mecca of pizza thanks to my husband who introduced me to this place on Memorial Day weekend. I'm that girl who LOVES pizza. I mean if you were to draw blood you couldn't because thick tomato sauce would come out! And this place is probably one of the best I've had! They've got super quick service and fresh pizza every 10 mins when it's busy. It's the perfect thickness of crust to sauce to cheese ratio. I have no idea what the first reviewer is talking about, this place has more than "plain pizza". people are so used to getting slices in Manhattan topped with 3 lbs of crap for $5 a slice, normal pizza must be invisible to them. but back to the good stuff. This pizza is great. it's so big it doesn't really fit in the box. most of the guys who work there are really friendly and helpful. there are seats at this one unlike the one by the train station. make sure to try the meatball hero and the pepperoni rolls. Totally surprised by this hidden gem right in Coney Island! Got a Sicilian and the sauce was very tasty. But only get it if you're really hungry, i had trouble finishing mine because it was so filling. The crust was so crisp and they're heavy on the cheese (which i like).
