Hidden gem alert. I stopped by on a whim for dinner, and walked inside this cute bistro with a few friends. We were quickly seated and split a few items from the menu which were all excellent. We had the tartufo pizza, citrus and beet salad and brussels sprouts. Service was quick and attentive. This spot is perfect for a date or a dinner out to catch up with one or two friends. I will definitely be back, and I can't wait to try out more items off the menu!

Brilliant local spot here in Harlem that is the perfect date night experience. Came here with my boyfriend for dinner on Friday and was blown away by Marlow Bistro! Everything from the Ambiance to the service was perfect. We had a reservation (highly recommended making a reservation as this spot gets busy) we were sat immediately near the window, which was a great spot for people watching. Our server immediately came over to greet us with water and then shortly after took our drink order; I had a dirty martini and my boyfriend had a glass of wine (if you are into bold red wines give a glass of the Thread Count a shot! So good!!) From there we ordered our dishes and here is what we had: Starter: - Salmon Rillete (really tasty almost like a tuna tartare) Main course: - Housemade Ricotta Gnocchi (best gnocchi I have had in a while, highly recommend; the brown butter really makes this dish!) - Marlow Burgers (my boyfriend said it was a perfect burger cooker to perfection- medium rare.) Both of us had fries and I can't stop talking about them! So crispy and flaky! Must try while you are here. I can't say enough about Marlow Bistro. I will definitely be returning with friends and can't wait to try something new on the menu. Thanks for a wonderful date night!

CARROT CAKE

Their gnocchi is so good. The mushroom dish was great, but I wouldn't order it again. The carrot cake was a much enjoyed sweet treat. The service was okay, nothing above and beyond, but it wasn't poor service by any means. The restaurant itself was intimate and homey.

Food 5/5 we truly enjoyed the octopus Drinks 5/5 - both mezcal cocktails I tried were delicious Price: $$-$$$ Ambiance: 5/5 there's quite a lot of indoor and outdoor seating for Manhattan Valley Service: 5/5 the bartender Phillip was quite friendly and entertaining I met a friend here for drinks on a Monday night and it was surprisingly bustling, though there was plenty of space at the bar. I got the Pinerolo (a prickly pear mezcal drink) and the Drop it Like It's Hot (mezcal, lime and red clay spice). Both were delicious but only the rim on the Drop it Like It's Hot was spicy. I liked the prickly pear better of th. My friend got a gin martini followed by the Super Tuscan red wine blend, which she swears by. My friend is a regular here and this is one of her favorite cocktail spots. We shared the octopus, which was super tender and served with a small potato and cucumber salad topped with feta. It was a treat!

Secret upcharge added to our bill without consent

Stunned to see the secret charge added to our bill at this place, in addition to a random 20% upcharge. Nothing here was worth this price. Buyer beware!

The food was really good, service was really good. The atmosphere was relaxing and cozy. Will definitely come back again

Homemade ravioli alla vodka, house made ricotta gnocchi, pea tortellini, sea brass

Everything was amazing! From the food to the ambience to the service 10/10! Came here to celebrate my friend's bday and not only was the wait staff attentive throughout, they also asked beforehand if we wanted to order a few deserts beforehand so they can light up a candle to bring out at the end. Their cocktails are delicious and beautiful (I got the spill the tea) and their pasta portions are perfect - I was full but not stuffed by the end. I will definitely be back in the future! I also highly recommend their octopus appetizer - it was my favorite

The first thing I noticed was the ambiance of the restaurant. There is outdoor seating but we sat inside and they had the windows open so it was still nice and breezy. The decorations are beautiful, as they have flowers hanging from the ceiling. I ordered the salmon which was cooked really well and tasted fresh. My friends got the burger and Egg Benedict. I tried some of my friend's fries and it tasted really crispy, which I how I like my fries. The servers were also very attentive and kept checking up on us. Overall, had a really great experience dining here and would come back again!

Absolutely delicious! The best bread I've ever had at an Italian restaurant, and the ricotta gnocchi is wonderful. Great service!

First thing you'll notice upon entry is how absolutely decorated it is. If you're a fan of Witcher, it's like walking into an an old-timey tavern. If you have no idea then-- it's like an old-timey tavern. I wouldn't be surprised of they had bard Fridays and homemade mead. It's also a big space. Reminds me of one of the last remnants of the bygone era that was the Obama-era glow. Like peak millenial where restaurants were starting to get viral but not to the point where they have to hyper compete with a gimmicky dish. The prices are a bit steep and was making me consider dropping my rating down a star but fuggit, I like their food. I played it safe and got the mixed grill meats but that's because I lack reading comprehension and thought the main dish (I don't know what it's called, it's just the 1st entree listed) was a baked meat pie situation, it was more grilled steak on a bed of mash potatoes but these mash potatoes were savory like gravy. I wish I got my friend's dish. The mixed grilled meats were a lot closer to doners or skewer meat. Different cuts but also different flavors. What they had in common was a sort of spice-forward sizzling taste. My friend got two appetizers (which I also don't know the name of) but were definitely the most beautifully presented foods I've had in a long while. They were both creams but one had a pepper in it (not the spicy kind). The pepper one was a light refreshing sourness and the other was a heavier but not heeeeavy savory one. Both great to dip your bread in. I wanted to try the lemon cookie for dessert but my friend got us all Tres Leches by accident. That was great but I would say the most non-novel out of everything we got. Delicious, just not something out of the norm-- which is what I go for when I'm trying a new cuisine like Albanian. I wouldn't say this is normal day-to-day Albanian (I have a few friends), it's more like the Americana equivalent, an upscale where Albanians go out to eat.

It was a little hard to hear and converse at times as it gets crowded, but the food was delicious and there are really unique items on the menu. Food: The duck shawarma was one of our favorites! The lamb and scallops were also flavorful and tender. The dips were delicious with the pita, but I wish the serving size for the dips were bigger. The fries were great - well seasoned! Also recommend the milky pudding, it was a nice refreshing way to end the dinner. Service: Our server was super helpful in letting us know what items are more shareable and his suggestions for cocktails. Definitely try some of the arak based cocktails. Vibe: Gorgeous interior, the mirrors and lighting really elevates the space and makes it a lovely spot for group dinners or dates.

There were 7 of us The seating was cozy but not cramped. We started with 7 family style small dishes: Hummus with Falafel Pops (chickpea purée, tahini, falafel, olive oil), Spring Burrata (roasted cherry tomatoes, toast, basil oil), Hamachi Crudo (passionfruit vinaigrette, citrus zest, cucumber, mint, sesame tuile), Scallops (carrot puree, serrano pepper, brown butter sauce), Tenderloin Skewer (zaatar chimichurri, fresh herb salad), and Shiitake Stuffed Grape Leaves (tomato coulis, yogurt foam, herbs). Everything was delicious. The hummus was well seasoned the falafel had a nice crunch. It went well with the warm puffy gyro bread that came to the table. The burrata was wasm and creamy. I love the vinaigrette on the fish. I ended up eating most of it. The scallops were the sweetest, most tender ones I have ever had. The tenderloin skewers were tender and well seasoned. I liked the grape leaves but the rice consistency was very soft almost mushy and you can barely tell there were mushrooms. There was barely any mushrooms flavor. Next we all chose an entree. I got the duck breast, my husband and daughter each had the beef tenderloin. The duck breast was smaller than i expected. The skin was nicely seared and very crispy but boy did it give my jaw a workout. It was done medium rare. It was juicy but tough. The small beef tenderloin was tender and smoky. The waiter poured the sauce over the tenderloin for added flavor. Finally dessert was a fruit plate with ice cream and pudding. The fruit was fresh and the flavors of the ice cream and pudding unique. It was a nice end to a good brunch. The price was a little expensive at $85 a person.
