    Food was outstandingthe waitstaff, especially Luis was so well trained. We had french onion soup, charcuterie board , wine from France, and mushroom ravioli, desert was creme brûlée and chocolate cake-- happy hour drinks are a great deal, this place buzzes with conversation, good food, great service in a french style. We will be back,!! --ambiance is a Parisian retreat! JUST GO!!

    Such a great mela celebrating my roommate's birthday! We split the lemon ricotta pancakes, and then I had salmon eggs Benedict, my one roommate got the crab lobster Benedict, and my other roommate got an omelette. We all loved our meals! The interior is adorable and our server was so sweet. She brought out a candle and had all of the servers sing to her!

    Wow!!! (Seems like I say that a lot, but..WOW!) Met my aunt and uncle and cousins here for brunch. It was so amazing. That restaurant itself is completely charming, the service was really quick, they are incredibly accommodating to families with little children, and the food was just perfect. I love brunch, this is a whole new level. Wish we lived closer so we could come back sooner, but next time I come to visit I'm bringing my husband and this is a place we're going

    Went here for the breakfast special that they have Monday thru Friday. You have 4 choices to Pick from. I chose the last item which was pancakes with banana strawberries and blueberries which was very good. Comes with coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. Nice atmosphere I feel like I'm in France at a French cafe. The service is good the wait staff is very attentive.

    I celebrated my birthday at Le Monde Restaurant last night (02/07/2026), and it was an absolutely flawless experience. A huge shoutout to our waiter, Luis, who was the star of the evening. He went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome, but what touched me most was how he looked after my mother. Since she is a Spanish speaker, Luis was able to communicate with her effortlessly, making her feel completely included and well cared for. Managers Khalid and Hakeem clearly run a tight ship. They were both visible and professional, and they ensured the entire evening flowed perfectly. If you want a place where the staff actually cares about the guests, this is it. Thank you for making my birthday so special!

    Le Monde has a lovely cozy atmosphere, and was perfect to warm up in during a cold winter's night. Though we didn't order wine, they have an extensive wine selection with a focus on Loire Valley wines. We ordered an Endive salad to start - crunchy, a touch of tartness, and some nice tang from the Roquefort. I ordered the Steak Frites and my partner got the Duo of Duck. The fries were perfectly salty and had a good crisp to them. The steak was also cooked perfectly to medium rare, and it was great to try both of their steak sauces. I capped off the evening with a lovely little decaf espresso. Leshawny was a fantastic server! He made sure we were taken care of, was attentive without being overbearing, and was very kind. He made our experience excellent! We look forward to coming back soon!

Waiter was extremely nice and was always filling up our water VIBES: We sat outside as they had a lot of seating both inside and outside the restaurant. We had some sun glaring at us and the workers were really nice in adjusting the umbrellas for us to get some shade. It was vibrant, and many people attending.

    Went for brunch on this cold day. I ordered the steak and eggs. Either raise the price of the steak or make a better one. I asked for well done and it was medium and had no flavor.     Came here during the Columbia University graduation and they had a special menu! There were also multiple seating options - cozy indoors, or outside under a roof. It was a drizzly day, but we chose to sit outdoors and people watched. We were quickly greeted by several waiters and were rewarded with a fresh bread basket after mulling over our order. -French Onion Soup: 5/5, was too full to enjoy the whole thing, but the cheese pull was satisfying, and the soup was rich and flavorful. Good to dip fresh bread with :) -Le Pamplemousse: I don't really understand alcoholic beverages but it tasted pretty good, a bit sour- contained absolut grapefruit, aperol, lemon, peychaud bitters and rosemary -Duo of duck: 5/5, duck cooked two ways - the skin was crispy and meat fell off the bone - if you like duck you'll like this dish -Roasted Organic chicken: 4/5: rich and flavorful jus, chicken was a bit dry towards the middle but the sauce helped bring the flavors out -Grilled Tomahawk pork: 5/5, never had a tomahawk pork rack- but glad we ordered it - so juicy, like an actual steak - smoky and rich flavors -Mashed potatoes: 5/5, not pictured, but BUTTERY. will definitely fill you up A good place to go especially if you're celebrating! okie thanks for reading, byee

    Food was quite average. I got the crepe that was alright, but the hot chocolate was warm milk with sugar with a whole lot of whipped cream, and no hints of chocolate. Others on the table were equally disappointed with their beverages. The shakshuka wasn't good at all. We got the peach melba crepe and chocolate gateau for dessert, those weren't bad, but nothing great either. Service was quick and they offered to get me a replacement for the hot chocolate after I complained about it being cold.

The pianist playing that night, Andrew Abrahamsen, was very talented. He played an eclectic mix of songs, including "I Will Survive," Disney's "When You Wish Upon a Star," and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." As the night went on, he played Happy Birthday for me, and went on a 90s Disney Renaissance spree, playing songs including "Go the Distance" from Hercules, "Out There" from Hunchback of Notre Dame, "Beauty and the Beast," and "You've Got a Friend in Me" from Toy Story. Ordered black tiger shrimp for my entree. It smelled wonderful, and especially peppery once the waiter added pepper to it. The risotto the shrimp sat on was also very delicious. I ended up taking this to go, and it still tasted great later on! For dessert, I chose the lemon tart brûlée with raspberry sorbet. It came with "Happy Birthday" written on the plate with chocolate, and a candle on the sorbet. This visit was a frustrating exception. The app activated the swipe button shortly after 5PM -- which Maman and several other stores have recently started allowing as an early pickup signal. I went to the store accordingly. The young male Hispanic employee at the register refused to hand over my bag, insisting the pickup window didn't start until 5:15. All the bags were already packed and ready. There were no other customers in line. I tried to explain how the app works and that early pickup had been allowed here before, but he repeatedly cut me off. At one point I said "if you want to play by the book, so be it" -- meaning it as a neutral acknowledgment. He took offense, raised his voice, and kept repeating "I don't play, you play" in an increasingly hostile tone. I asked if he understood the expression. He just kept repeating "I don't play." When I asked to speak with a manager, he said there wasn't one. When I asked what a customer is supposed to do when there's a problem with an employee, he told me to come back tomorrow and talk to him. This was completely avoidable. The bags were ready. It was a 5-10 minute window, allowed by the app. The confrontation served no purpose. I noticed the review posted the day before mine mentions "poor customer service at the register" -- I suspect we encountered the same person. Maman has a good reputation worth protecting. I'd encourage management to review this interaction and make sure this particular staff is trained properly.

I didn't notice during my first visit if there were multiple servers, but the first time I did hear the waiter advise another table that the kitchen was behind and there would be a wait for food. (This didn't affect me since on my first visit I only ordered soup.) Same thing happened this time, and there was a significant delay between our soup/salad course and entrees. We were told the kitchen was backed up. this is apparently the norm. For appetizers, the French onion soup was a gold star dish. My friend had the goat cheese salad which she said was also very good. The Chicken Cordon Bleu was good, and a hard-to-find dish in NYC. While eating our entrees, the server never checked on how things were or if we needed anything. Once finished, we sat there for a long time waiting for our plates to be cleared, and finally had to "announce" that we were done and request our dessert (as we had ordered the prix fixe menu). For dessert we ordered the Dame Blanche and Profiteroles. I would recommend neither. The ice cream (in both) was poor quality, crystallized and not creamy. A real shame. In all, the meal too 2.5 hours due to the slow service. The soup remains fantastic. I'm downgrading my review to recommend this spot only for soup and salad and not a full, hours-long meal. For that, it's 5 stars, for a full meal a middling 3.
