Ok expensive food. This time had half soup sandwich. Needed second lunch after. Pastries hit or miss, it's either fresh or stale, no way to know.

This was my fifth time here, and it never disappoints! I've been to both the Union Square and NoMad locations (I even celebrated my birthday at NoMad--loved it!). Tonight, I came for one reason and one reason only: d'Asti Week. We were greeted with a complimentary glass of Moscato alongside our Salumi & Formaggi board. The cheese paired beautifully with the wine, and I couldn't resist treating myself to a bottle (wine not?). Moscato is my favorite, and I couldn't have found a more perfect place to celebrate it. My friends and I each tried something different: I had the spaghetti Pomodoro, one friend enjoyed the tuna tartare, and another had the elevated version of spaghetti and meatballs (the fancier name I forgot). Every dish was delicious. I can't recommend this place enough for date night, a special event, a birthday, or just unwinding over wine and dinner with friends after work. The staff here is consistently fantastic: accommodating, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. Alla prossima volta!

I wish Columbus Bakery were still here for an excellent UWS breakfast option. In its absence Tarallucci e Vino is a solid uncontroversial choice for an early meal, before the majority of the neighborhood's eateries open for business. I opted for the uova e asparagi which seemed like the most interesting thing on the menu. It exceeded my expectations - despite a light amount of cheese, the potatoes were very flavorful and also nicely tender. I would return for lunch or dinner if I find myself in the area.

Sat the center bar area, with all the homemade cookies in canisters right in front of us. They all looked delicious. We ordered the spaghetti & the egg sandwich. Both were made fresh and full of flavor. Cute spot for a bite before heading to the AMNH.

I came here for a super late lunch with my dad this past Saturday and was pleasantly surprised at how good everything was here. The space itself is small, but posh with tables and half table half booths. There was no wait to be seated. With our waters, we each ordered a glass of white wine, which was alright, and the waiter brought out 2 kinds of a bread (a focaccia and I think a French) with a small dish of olive oil which was nice to snack on. I ordered the Caesar salad, which was dressed well and had nice crunches to every bite, both from the fresh lettuce and from the crunch seasoning and crispy crumbs on top. It was delicious although I would have liked the egg yolk to have come on top so I could break it and mix it in myself. My dad ordered the Tarallucci Burger, which was wonderful, especially the potatoes that were delicious and well seasoned without being too salty. We noted the burger itself had high quality ingredients with the best flavors coming from the melted cheese and black truffle aioli on the bread. We finished our meal with glasses of red wine and port. The port was fantastic and served with little circular Italian sugared cookies that paired perfectly with the delicious drink. I would recommend this to visitors who are coming from or headed to the Museum of Natural History which is nearby or anyone wanting a quality meal at any hour.

Pastry review - I didn't know this place sold pastries until I found them on the Too Good to Go app. I primarily think of it as a wine bar. I was shocked by how good they were! I got an almond croissant, raisin roll and another croissant stuffed with cream (least favorite). Loved how there was a rich almond flavor in the almond croissant. Liked the flakiness. The raisin roll was filled with quite a lot of raisins! Highly recommend checking out in the morning!

Had made reservations for NYE which had a Prix Fixe menu with a decent split of vegetarian and meat selection across three courses. We went for the early seating and it was relatively quiet on a rainy last day of the year. Alex, our server, was friendly and was kind enough to offer us a glass of wine on the house, after he felt bad having charged full price for our little one on the Prix Fixe menu. Food overall was pretty decent. There was a Pappardelle pasta for our little one, and a few great options for meat lovers, including a Rib-eye steak which unfortunately lacked flavor, in spite of adding their rather heavy garlic and heavy cream sauce. The lobster tail was thoroughly enjoyed by the seafood lover on our table, and was enough to knock a person out on the table next to us, who possibly had a shell fish allergy. We were glad to see the person doing fine though, towards the end of the meal. Definitely not a nice way to end the year! Noise levels were on the average end throughout our time there, and their menu and service were pretty good, definitely on the expensive end though. Will definitely visit again sometime in the near future!

Went late on a Monday. Service was really good. I love the vibe. The focaccia was more like a pizza. It was good but wish it was more like a traditional focaccia. The Caesar salad was good nothing crazy. I did enjoy the cacio e Pepe which was dripping in butter. Pasta was homemade which was good but I've had better. Would definitely recommend as a fun happy hour or even just romantic night in the UWS.

Had a very nice dinner here with some great people watching. Got a nice table outside and started with a good bottle of Cab. Took in the beautiful weather, relaxed and enjoyed the cool vibe and our dinner. Polipo- large enough to share. Charred Octopus served on top of fennel , roasted potatoes, and arugula with lemon and olives. Grilled Branzino- a nice piece of Mediterranean Sea Bass, mild and sweet and cooked with capers, cherry tomatoes, kalamata olives. A side of oven roasted fennel with a parmesan gratin was served alongside the fish. Service was excellent from the hostess, the nice woman behind the bar, and Dillan our server, all making the evening so enjoyable. Great night, Great atmosphere, great food.

    Counter/bar area

The food here is consistently excellent, the service attentive and prompt, the ambiance buzzy but I can still hear my companion clearly. It's a small, intimate space with counter/bar seating as well. I am dairy allergic, my husband cannot have garlic or shellfish, and Taralucci e Vino is one of the restaurants on the UWS that has always taken good care with our issues. It is a regular stop on our culinary wanderings through the city.

I was able to make reservations at the last minute on a Sat night despite July being a very touristy month in the city. We arrived early and an outdoor table was just finishing up so we were sat within a handful of minutes. Beautiful evening to sit outdoors and the people-watching was good but not bothersome. We ordered Escargot, crispy artichokes, french onion soup, the duck and the steak au poive, all of which were excellent (the duck was very nice). Despite the variety of wine available we were enjoying cocktails and our water glasses were constantly refilled. The service was very good as well and the maitre d was also very pleasant. Very solid performance and would love to revisit at a later date.

Conclusion- disappointed, as it's 5 years past its prime, as its last Michelin Bib Gourmand (2021) sign had proven prophetic. Pros- the only non-French menu item off the lunch menu, the burger with fries, was one of the tastiest I had anywhere in sometime. Would have been perfect had I ordered it medium rare, instead of medium. One plus is the decent portion size, for both main entrees and appetizers. Cons- all the other French menu items can use room(s) for improvement. Starting with the mussels bowl, although very flavorful, mussels were a bit overcooked, and it can use a bit more butter, and one less pinch of salt in flavoring. Next, the Escargot appetizer can use more flavoring, and the tuna tartare was way too bland, definitely needs more salt, pepper, and whatever other seasoning to enhance its flavor. Service- server attitude was decent; however, the wait times for food for both appetizers & main entrees were way too long, especially given the fact it's a rainy weekday mid-afternoon and there were only 2 other tables of diners. Given its past glory, and fact there are several other Amelies chain locations in NYC, perhaps the owner(s) of this establishment can take my constructive comments to heart?

I'd call it "French style" where you should ask if you need because they don't coddle you and constantly check in, which I prefer. It's a bit small but that's neither good nor bad, just what it is. The "casual fine dining" they're going for is the perfect description. I felt neither over nor under dressed in a button up short sleeve and a nice pair of jeans.
