The manager makes sure everyone that enters the restaurant that is dining or an employee, is following the safety procedures that are listed on the front door of the restaurant. The restaurant was clean and the employees were friendly. There are disposable menus and also, you can scan a bar code on your phone off of the table you're dining from to view the menu as well. Restaurant experience: My husband and I decided to dine here and I was really glad I did. My husband ate here years ago. Keishawn was our waiter and he was really attentive. He made sure we had drinks, napkins and brought us our appetizer and lunch on time. We started off with an appetizer and drink. We chose the shrimp and crab nachos. It's 8 pieces and full of seafood. It's Sautéed Shrimp, Crab, Pepper Jack, and Fresh Jalapeño. I don't eat jalapeños, so I picked mine off. It was AMAZING! I ate 2 slices and was kind of full. My husband ordered water with lemon on the side and a sangria. He usually drinks beer if he's in the mood, but he allowed me to select his drink and I chose sangria. That's cool, because I dont drink. LOL! But, I had ginger ale soda for my drink. Next, my husband ordered a half of slow cooked St. Louis style ribs and fries. He doesn't eat cole slaw or okra, so he substituted that for the fries. The plate also comes with House-Made Sweet Corn & Jalapeño Muffins. I had the shrimp and grits. It was delicious! This was my first time ever eating baked grits. My entree consist of White Cheddar Grit Cake, Sautéed Spinach, Roma Tomato, Shallot, Roast Tomato Beurre Blanc. My husband and I had leftovers. Our son didn't dine with us, so he had the same order as my husband to go. My son and husband both loved their food and the muffins. We sat in the bar and our drinks took 20 min at least. Also, why is the rooftop always closed or reserved for private events? I want to eat out there. Some Friday nights are just for traditional American food. The staff here at Marlow's are very friendly and caring. Not only they gave us free appetizers, but our server Carisha also checked on us multiple times even on a busy evening like tonight. The food is truly amazing, and the delectable tavern burger just makes you want to keep on eating it....their buffalo sauce is very different than all the other restaurants I have been to. I have been at various locations of Marlow's Tavern over the years. I had not been to the Lavista Road in Tucker, location since before the pandemic. The restaurant was full when we arrived at approximately 6:30. We were greeted by pleasant host who cleared a table within minutes and as soon as another couple got up. It went downhill from there. Though he was pleasant our server took a long time to get to the table and was missing in action most of the evening. I don't know if they were understaffed or what. The "craft cocktail" came in a glass made for iced tea full of ice and a straw. The drink tasted like water with a hint of grapefruit juice. Again, the server was missing in action and we had to flag a random employee to fetch him. I told him I would either need him to bring a shot of gin to the table or I'll need to order another drink. He went for the former. My dinner companion had salmon and I had the fish tacos that were certainly infamous. The menu said mahi-mahi, but I've never had any that tasted this fishy and oily before in my life! I am not certain that it was mahi-mahi. It seemed more like Chilean Seabass. Perhaps, that's why they keep the dining room so dark. I literally had to use a napkin to wipe the excess oil from off the bottom of the taco. It made me nauseous. It was only two tacos. I was able to get one down and a third of the other one. The truffle fries were not all that either. I left half of those on the plate, too. I don't typically leave food on my plate or I take it home. I did neither this time. I usually pick good restaurants and always the right entrée and drink. Tonight was a total disappointment. If I hadn't waited so long, I would've probably sent the fish tacos back in ordered something else. Thank God, my dinner companion paid for our meal or else that would've added insult to injury. I gave the restaurant two stars, one for pleasant staff and one for having a gluten-free menu that my dinner companion was able to review. I don't believe I've seen a restaurant actually do that so good for them. I will not be back to this location. Please do better. read more

I go to this location frequently for lunch. The menu changes every now and then. They have some specials occasionally that are great. If they ever have the enchilada special when you go, consider getting that. It was great. The fish tacos have been consistently delicious for years now. I recently had the crab cake appetizer and it was very good. I'm from the beach so crab cakes have to be chunky with meat not breading to get my approval and these were definitely approved! The little side salad is so light and fresh to accompany any of your main dishes. The wings (both flavors) and shrimp nachos are also very tasty appetizers. I eat at the bar a lot and the bartenders who are there during late lunch hours are always awesome. The only item I've had that I disliked was the blackened salmon caesar salad, which was WAY too salty and not fresh tasting. read more

We stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night. It was an overall incredible experience. We were seated within 5 mins of entering and our server came almost immediately. We ordered the Classic Tavern burger and the Chicken Tortilla salad and truffle fries. We asked for the entrees to be spilt for sharing and instead of bringing out extra plates like most places, they plated half of each dish for us. Our bartender Lizzy was so rude! I all I wanted was an espresso martini for my birthday. However I happen to like Bailey's Irish cream in my martinis to add sweetness and a creamy element and I asked this bartender Lizzy very nicely and she told me no because it is their policy to only make drinks according to their recipe and encouraged me to try it the way they like to make it. Little does Lizzy know ive been attending Marlow's since they opened the first location in John's Creek and I've tried this martini with out the Bailey's but I still like it with Bailey's. So after explaining this to her and expressing that it is my birthday and I would just like this drink, she very rudely outlined the bottom of the menu that says "we don't sing happy birthday" and told me no once again. So because I was gonna get what I wanted I just asked for the martini as is and a side of the baileys I wanted and I could tell she still wanted to tell me no but did it anyways. Would have been much easier to just do what your customer asked for instead of giving the person who is tipping you a hard time for no reason. What a gem this was to find today!! It is right next to Doubletree hotel which is a treat for those guests. I have always seen Marlow's Tavern. It never eaten there. I loved the atmosphere!! Great spot inside of the Doubletree by Hilton. Although I live in ATL, I stayed here while working in Tucker for a few days. Came downstairs for drinks each night. The first night the chef bought out a courtesy chip taco kinda dish and boy was it yummy. Didn't even know we wanted it. We ate every chip. Looking for dinner and being in the general area, Marlow's Tavern turned into the spot for our to go meal. This was the first time for both of us and being pretty hungry, we were hopeful! Here's what we ordered: Tavern Burger ($10.70) J.T.'s Kettle Chips ($9.5) Bacon jam (supposedly free but $0.50). Fried okra ($1 as a side) We were staying about 5 minutes away from Marlow's, so the commute was very short. With that said, the food was luke warm at best which was unfortunate. Temperature aside, how about the flavor? Starting with the Tavern burger, this comes with red onion, tomato, romaine lettuce and you can sub a grilled chicken filet for the beef, which is what I did. This sandwich is 'sandwiched' by a brioche roll. The tavern burger with chicken was just average at best, with nothing about the flavors making it great. The chicken was tough and didn't seem seasoned with much. What was weird about the burger is there was an optional bacon jam, listed as free on the menu and from what staff told me, but on the receipt I had a $0.50 charge for 'extra'. Considering that was my only one, I didn't know where the 'extra' charge came from. This was also nothing special. With the tavern burger comes a side of your choice and for $1 more I got their fried okra, which come as whole okra, lightly fried and not salted/seasoned in any way. The batter flaked off often as well....basically not my favorite side here. Finally, the kettle chips had an amazing description! Crispy chips with bits of bacon, diced tomato, scallion, and crumbled Gorgonzola cheese. The first few bites of these were really good and we both agreed that this was the best bite of the evening. The issue is the cheese and the chips with bacon became so rich that between the two of us, we were just unable to finish even half of it, so we tossed it shortly after. If you order this, have several people to help you eat this! As this was a to go order. customer service is unknown to me, minus the bacon jam charge. Parking is very easy to get considering this location is attached to the Double Tree hotel off of Lavista road. I wonder if dining in would have made for a much better experience? At least if the food came out cool we could've spoke up about it, but between the temperature of the food and the underwhelming taste of most of what we tried, I can't say i'll never come back to Marlow's Tavern, but it'll be a long while before I do. read more

This Marlow's Tavern is located next to a Double Tree hotel in Tucker, GA. Marlow's is awesome and my first experience was incredible. The food was so great and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Our server was very nice, friendly and attentive. Great prices, looked clean, nice, intimate and wait time is very minimal. Big portions and definitely got our money's worth. Cool cocktails and great beer selection. I was here for lunch. I have ordered the Tavern favorites Grilled Chicken Stack which was made of grilled Chicken, Roasted Mushrooms, Fingerling Potato, Blistered Grape Tomatoes, Green Beans, Roasted Chicken Glace, Fines Herbs, and Parslied Olive Oil in a toasted bread. Also it came with a soup of the day which was Shrimp Clam Chowder. Everything tasted fresh and was seasoned well. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Marlow's on Lavista. Had dinner with friends this evening. The disclaimer at the bottom of the menu should've been a warning, don't complain about the music, it's the way they like it. I won't be back, I think that's a lousy attitude, and it was too loud to Easily carry on a conversation. The food was OK. Nothing special. I had a black and blue salad, the steak was cooked properly, the lettuce and tomatoes were average. Truffle fries were OK. The red sangria was good, but there was so much ice in the glass there was very little actual beverage. The server was nice, but did not check back very often. There were a few things that went a little towards the lef but soon got back on track. MALORIES'S level of service stood steady and I appreciate that. For appetizers we ordered the Truffle Fries which were delicious. I ordered honey mustard wings all flats. My daughter ordered the Buffalo Wings. We had to wait a long time for the wings to come out. When they came out mine were in Buffalo sauce instead of Honey Mustard sauce. MALORIE made sure to reorder the right ones for me. My son ordered a special a special, I can't remember the name of the dish however it was a grilled chicken pasta dish for price of $25.00, which looked way over priced, it looked like half of the pasta was eaten before it got to him. Just didn't seem like a fair amount for the price. He didn't want to complain because so much had gone wrong at our table. We didn't even have silverware, had to wait for that. We were on the way to Chipotle when we saw Marlow's Tavern nestled in by a Doubletree Hotel. It didn't take much to sway us from our previous destination. This location is right off 285, not far from I-85. Parking is a little tight, but not too bad. We walked in and were a bit confused. It looked very dark, and almost as if nobody was there. There were bathrooms on our immediate right, an elevator that mentioned rooftop seating (it was too cold for that but very enticing) and then steps leading down. We walked down the steps and to the left to the main seating area. I was confused on if we came in through some secret entrance. Thankfully, we were greeted but opted to sit at the bar. This is almost your typical dark bar meets hotel, and I could almost picture this as a movie scene where a down-on-his luck guy goes to drink away his problems. It was depressing. We took our seats at the bar, and the guy next to us could actually be that guy from the movie. I'm actually glad we sat at the bar because at least there was a little bit more light from the back glow of the light panels behind the bar. We were greeted promptly by the bartender, and she did a great job of helping us. Service was spot on. I ordered the Creature Comfort Tropicalia on draft and my honey had some wine. We both ordered our favorite, the Banh Mi Wrap. I've had it a few times and it is so incredibly good. My honey was smart and got an extra side of the firecracker sauce, and that's all it needed to make it spicy. You can't go wrong with this wrap! Our food and service were excellent, but the atmosphere needs a little work. We came during lunch on a Sunday, and there wasn't much going on. I wouldn't mind coming back to check out the rooftop. I have been to a few different locations. This location right off Lavista Rd exit sits connected to the Doubletree hotel. I pretty much get the same thing, FIRECRACKER SHRIMP! (It use to come out crisp on a banana leaf with 2 sauces to dip) This time it came out piled high in a bowl covered in green onion red peppers and sauce drizzled all over. Still very good but caught me by surprise when it arrived to the table. I had a Orchard martini with green apple slice which was nice. Hub and I both had soup mine was the chicken queso which was delicious to the last drop. Our waitress was all over the place but it wasn't really packed, staff may have been short that day. We did get attention from her, just quick and rushed most times. I loved the music selection, a perfect holiday jazzy, blues type feel made it very comfortable and relaxing while discussing our childrens Christmas list and checking off some items that we was sure as hell not buying. Excellent food and excellent service. It was loud in there which made it difficult for my dad. The restaurant was clean. Charles was our server and he was excellent as well. He knew what to recommend and kept up on our drinks and checked on us periodically. The wagyu burger (Royale) was very good. It was cooked to the right temperature and tasted great.
