Great Thai food, never an issue with any of the offering as with most I have My favorites. My partner gives the spicy Tofu Angel Wings an extra nod for the spicy and the chili sauce provided table side extras spicy. Only thing is the restaurant is pretty dark inside especially when you come out on a day.

Been meaning to try this place and it was a perfect opportunity since we had spent the day right at Golden Gate Park across the street. Service: 10/10 staff was super welcoming Food: For appetizers, we got the summer rolls. Comes with your typical peanut sauce. No complaints here. Nice and refreshing. For our main dishes we ordered the Har Mok, which is a steamed snapper fish with curry. I would definitely come and order this again! Well seasoned, perfect amount of spice, and good amount of food. I'd give it a solid 8.5/10. (FYI you have to order the steamed rice separately). Second dish we got was the Pak Kaprow with roasted duck. It's a stir fry with bell peppers, onion, and tomato. You get to choose the level of spiciness which is nice, and from a scale of 1-5, I chose 3 and it was quite spicy (but I loved it). If you're not great with spice, it's probably best to order a spice level of 1. The amount of duck was pretty generous. It was a little on the saltier side but other than that I'd give it a 7/10. Drink: Got the Thai tea- I will say it's on the sweeter side. I probably should've asked for less milk so it wouldn't be as sweet. Nonetheless I'd give it a 7/10. I'd love to come back here though and try their other dishes!

Came here with our family when visiting SF. Great location in the inner sunset, a block from Golden Gate park. Solid Thai place in a very competitive city when it comes to food quality. Service is . We thoroughly enjoyed all of the dishes except for the Hotcakes. Seems to be lacking flavors and somewhat undercooked for my liking. Pad Krapow (Spicy Thai basil pork) (4.5/5) - not pictured as we were so excited to eat and forgot to take photo of the dish. Flavor is great and has decent amount of food. I just came back from visiting Thailand. The flavor of this dish comes very close to what we have had in Thailand. Hotcakes (2/5) - disappointing dish to say the least. I love all the ingredients this dish carries but it is truly lacking flavor and textures. It's on their daily special menu but I would pass on it. Spicy Angel wings (4.5/5) - very good! Love the flavor and the fried basil leaves. The wing itself is moist and the sauce is flavorful. It's saucy so if you like it that way, it's a great dish. As for me, I would love to still experience the crisp ones texture so I'd prefer a little less sauce. Solid dish otherwise. Green Mango salad (4/5) - refreshing salad which great flavor and sour from the fresh lime juice. You and opt in to include protein. We added prawns and it's grilled to perfection. Mango sticky rice (4.5/5) - overall a very good dish. sticky rice cooked and seasoned well with coconut milk with a hint of sweet and saltiness. Mango was perfectly ripen' Wish there was more of it!! Pad Thai (3.5/5) - while we enjoyed their pad Thai, it wasn't anything special. The dish comes with a lot of noodle so that's great. Somewhat saucy (but not salty) so if you like that, you'll love this dish. I somehow expected more from this establishment.

I tried Marnee Thai during my first trip to San Francisco. It's conveniently located near Golden Gate Park and I just stumbled upon it. It's small, but very beautifully decorated inside with artwork and low lighting. There's a surprising amount of seating available. Our server was very nice and prompt with taking our order and filling water. The food was ready quickly too. I tried the tofu pad Thai and loved every bite. The tofu was perfectly crispy and I appreciated the variety of vegetables in the pad Thai while they remained light on the bean sprouts. I'd highly recommend this spot for amazing Thai food!

Grabbed lunch here while exploring Golden Gate Park. Stopped in around 11:30 there wasn't much of a crowd, but by the time I left they were filling up fast. Opted for homemade pancakes with coconut and pumpkin, banana yellow curry with chicken, basil chicken stir fry, and topped it off with Thai tea. The coconut banana (plantain) curry was so good with a mixture of heat and sweet that made me keep going back for more. The stir fry had some green peppercorns included that added a flavor that made it unique. Let's talk about the homemade pancakes...YUM. Sweet coconut cream, corn and pumpkin. Who knew it went together? It is something I will keep my eye out for in the future. The staff were friendly. It is a smaller restaurant tucked in to others along ninth avenue, but comfortable and easy accessed. If you happen to be in the area, stop and check them out. Well worth it.

Marnee Thai was the first restaurant I dined in at when I moved to SF! I stumbled upon it on Yelp and have been going back consistently for a few years now. My favorite item to order is always the Pad Thai with either shrimp or chicken. Their Pad Thai sauce has the right amount of tang and sweetness while the noodles are perfectly cooked to be slightly chewy! Whenever I come, whether it's lunch or dinner, there's typically no wait. They also have a lot of Thai decorations. I love coming here with friends and family as it is located super close to a Muni stop. Marnee Thai is my favorite Thai restaurant in the Bay. :)

Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, Thai Fried Rice
    Austin N.

Had a positive experience here. Decor was nice and the service was wonderful. We never went without an empty glass of water. Was a very small and crowded space, but it works. Ordered the Yellow Curry, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and Thai Fried Rice. This fed 5 people, and was very affordable. Portions were good, one dish can feed 1-2. The best dishes we had were the Pad See Ew and Pad Thai. Both very distinctly flavorful. The Yellow Curry and Thai Fried Rice were okay. They were over-salted, but still had flavor. Overall, I had a good time, but the crowded and loud ambiance might not be for everyone.

Hands down the most delicious angel wings in town! Date night at one of my fave Thai restaurants in the city. Staff are quick and attentive. Every item I've ordered has always been 5/5, so flavorful. Let get into what we ordered: - Roti - Mango Salad - Banana red curry w/ beef - Angel wings - Thai Tea Bon appetite!

I remember loving Marnee Thai in their other location way back when, so it was so nice to discover this location and enjoy the fond memories of good neighborhood Thai food. Loved the following paired with sticky rice and a side of green curry: Hor Pak - steamed fish with banana sunchokes wrapped and steamed in a bamboo leaf (seasonal) Pumpkin curry with chicken - opted for the mild yellow curry & it warmed the tummy Service was attentive and staff were kind. Our water was always filled. I also liked that there was good sound proofing to enjoy conversations with your company. Try the table chili - tasted freshly made and not too spicy with a garlic lime kick.

They text you when your table is ready and got have about 5 minutes to get there. Right away I knew I wanted the Khao soi which I got with tofu. This was beyond delicious, but I wish they have more broth. I've had Khao soi before but it was a bit more broth which made the noodles less dry. Also I wish the tofu was cut into smaller cubes, the tofu wasn't very crispy which made it pretty bland and one dimensional. Other than that it was very good. The Thai tea was also good, not too sweet which was perfect. The duck breast curry had a similar taste to the Khao soi but the duck was one of the beast we had. Super moist and flavorful in the broth, definitely one of the best dishes of the night. Also the beef fried rice (Khao pad mun neur) was cooked well, my favorite was the flavor of the fried rice. Had a smoky wok flavor to it which made it addicting. The ambience was very nice my favorite was their music playlist. Was nostalgic and gave good vibes in the restaurant. Definitely a great experience and worth a try when in the city. I would come again for the duck curry and maybe the Khao soi with a different protein or ask the tofu to be extra crispy.

We ordered the same short rib beef fried rice but tried the curry chicken noodle soup this time which had a crispy fried ball of noodles topping a bowl of mild, spicy curry broth, soft noodles and chicken. It was very good. For the first time, we ordered their Chinese broccoli which was sliced into smaller pieces and surprisingly very good. We were full but decided to get the pandan kaya toast with large scoop of coconut ice cream to share since we've not ordered this in a long time. The chefs cooking that evening were doing a great job as the flavors were delicious.

Every bite and sip was delicious. We ordered family style and shared everything. The service was also fantastic, even though we got there late and didn't realize until the food was beginning to come out that it was last call, our server and all the other workers that came by were all so friendly and made us feel welcome. We ate quickly and boxed the rest so they could get home. What we ordered: Tom Kha soup - coconutty, creamy, a lil sour and a lil spice. Delicious. Fresh rolls - crisp and springy with lots of greens and tofu and a good peanut sauce to dip. Crispy pork belly sweet basil - the CRISP and flavor of this pork belly was to die for. Chicken larb - this was my favorite dish of the night. Heavy basil/herbs, just a little kick from the chilies, full on flavor explosion. I will be thinking of this dish for a long time haha. Beef Pad See Ew - chewy in the most delicious and favor packed way. Love pad see ew and this one was great! Pad cha scallop - Came out sizzling on a cast iron! This dish was fun and the scallops while small, were fresh and had lots of flavor. And finally, for dessert we ordered the black rice durian. It was all three of us' first time trying Durian and we loved it! Creamy and a little funky but the black rice and sauce emphasized its natural sweetness.
