First time trying a Thai style tea leaf salad and it was good! It was very similar to the Burmese tea leaf salad but with more of a kick. The fried rice was the best dish we ordered because you can just taste that it was fried in a wok. The pad thai did not taste as authentic as expected but it was still very flavored. Service was great and servers were very attentive. The environment and location were good as well.

Great Thai food, never an issue with any of the offering as with most I have My favorites. My partner gives the spicy Tofu Angel Wings an extra nod for the spicy and the chili sauce provided table side extras spicy. Only thing is the restaurant is pretty dark inside especially when you come out on a day.

Came here with our family when visiting SF. Great location in the inner sunset, a block from Golden Gate park. Solid Thai place in a very competitive city when it comes to food quality. Service is . We thoroughly enjoyed all of the dishes except for the Hotcakes. Seems to be lacking flavors and somewhat undercooked for my liking. Pad Krapow (Spicy Thai basil pork) (4.5/5) - not pictured as we were so excited to eat and forgot to take photo of the dish. Flavor is great and has decent amount of food. I just came back from visiting Thailand. The flavor of this dish comes very close to what we have had in Thailand. Hotcakes (2/5) - disappointing dish to say the least. I love all the ingredients this dish carries but it is truly lacking flavor and textures. It's on their daily special menu but I would pass on it. Spicy Angel wings (4.5/5) - very good! Love the flavor and the fried basil leaves. The wing itself is moist and the sauce is flavorful. It's saucy so if you like it that way, it's a great dish. As for me, I would love to still experience the crisp ones texture so I'd prefer a little less sauce. Solid dish otherwise. Green Mango salad (4/5) - refreshing salad which great flavor and sour from the fresh lime juice. You and opt in to include protein. We added prawns and it's grilled to perfection. Mango sticky rice (4.5/5) - overall a very good dish. sticky rice cooked and seasoned well with coconut milk with a hint of sweet and saltiness. Mango was perfectly ripen' Wish there was more of it!! Pad Thai (3.5/5) - while we enjoyed their pad Thai, it wasn't anything special. The dish comes with a lot of noodle so that's great. Somewhat saucy (but not salty) so if you like that, you'll love this dish. I somehow expected more from this establishment.

I tried Marnee Thai during my first trip to San Francisco. It's conveniently located near Golden Gate Park and I just stumbled upon it. It's small, but very beautifully decorated inside with artwork and low lighting. There's a surprising amount of seating available. Our server was very nice and prompt with taking our order and filling water. The food was ready quickly too. I tried the tofu pad Thai and loved every bite. The tofu was perfectly crispy and I appreciated the variety of vegetables in the pad Thai while they remained light on the bean sprouts. I'd highly recommend this spot for amazing Thai food!

Grabbed lunch here while exploring Golden Gate Park. Stopped in around 11:30 there wasn't much of a crowd, but by the time I left they were filling up fast. Opted for homemade pancakes with coconut and pumpkin, banana yellow curry with chicken, basil chicken stir fry, and topped it off with Thai tea. The coconut banana (plantain) curry was so good with a mixture of heat and sweet that made me keep going back for more. The stir fry had some green peppercorns included that added a flavor that made it unique. Let's talk about the homemade pancakes...YUM. Sweet coconut cream, corn and pumpkin. Who knew it went together? It is something I will keep my eye out for in the future. The staff were friendly. It is a smaller restaurant tucked in to others along ninth avenue, but comfortable and easy accessed. If you happen to be in the area, stop and check them out. Well worth it.

Marnee Thai was the first restaurant I dined in at when I moved to SF! I stumbled upon it on Yelp and have been going back consistently for a few years now. My favorite item to order is always the Pad Thai with either shrimp or chicken. Their Pad Thai sauce has the right amount of tang and sweetness while the noodles are perfectly cooked to be slightly chewy! Whenever I come, whether it's lunch or dinner, there's typically no wait. They also have a lot of Thai decorations. I love coming here with friends and family as it is located super close to a Muni stop. Marnee Thai is my favorite Thai restaurant in the Bay. :)

Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, Thai Fried Rice

Had a positive experience here. Decor was nice and the service was wonderful. We never went without an empty glass of water. Was a very small and crowded space, but it works. Ordered the Yellow Curry, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and Thai Fried Rice. This fed 5 people, and was very affordable. Portions were good, one dish can feed 1-2. The best dishes we had were the Pad See Ew and Pad Thai. Both very distinctly flavorful. The Yellow Curry and Thai Fried Rice were okay. They were over-salted, but still had flavor. Overall, I had a good time, but the crowded and loud ambiance might not be for everyone.

Hands down the most delicious angel wings in town! Date night at one of my fave Thai restaurants in the city. Staff are quick and attentive. Every item I've ordered has always been 5/5, so flavorful. Let get into what we ordered: - Roti - Mango Salad - Banana red curry w/ beef - Angel wings - Thai Tea Bon appetite!

I remember loving Marnee Thai in their other location way back when, so it was so nice to discover this location and enjoy the fond memories of good neighborhood Thai food. Loved the following paired with sticky rice and a side of green curry: Hor Pak - steamed fish with banana sunchokes wrapped and steamed in a bamboo leaf (seasonal) Pumpkin curry with chicken - opted for the mild yellow curry & it warmed the tummy Service was attentive and staff were kind. Our water was always filled. I also liked that there was good sound proofing to enjoy conversations with your company. Try the table chili - tasted freshly made and not too spicy with a garlic lime kick.

Khao Soi w/ Crispy Fried Chicken: A classic Northern Thai coconut curry noodle soup. The spice level was just right to bring out the flavor. Paired with the crispy fried chicken, it was excellent! The Kaya jam was actually lighter than I expected. I love the coconut ice cream combining with the toast! The vibe inside is really cool and modern. Panang (their spelling) Curry, classic Pad Thai and sticky rice seemed to be great options. The curry was ordered with beef. The dish came served in a small half full bowl with watered down curry sauce, a few random vegetables, and the cheapest beef one could possibly find. The Pad Thai, consisting of a plate with a wad of very thin rice noodles which are more likely found in a spring roll, not the flat rice noodle one would find in the famous dish in Thailand. A minuscule amount of chicken, peanuts and fried tofu accompanied the matted noodles. Neither dish had much flavor, yet and probably more the intended goal, would appeal to pretty much any Farang walking off the street. Our friends make fun of us for making the trek out to the East Side, Danville, Black Hawk, etc for the best Thai in the entire Bay Area but that will have to continue until we discover a closer option.

Besides that, the food is really delicious. The papaya salad is amazing if you like spice! There was a great kick and acidity to the papaya salad distributed throughout the fresh vegetables in the dish. I highly recommend! The pumpkin fries were also a great choice: crispy fry with soft pumpkin inside, maintaining the overall pumpkin flavor profile. The sauce they provide on the side (sweet and sour plum sauce), cut through the fry but didn't overwhelm the pumpkin itself. For myself, I got the yellow curry with chicken. The curry dishes do not come with rice, so you will have to order that on the side. The curry is not only a generous portion, but FULL of ingredients.
