Came right at 5pm with no reservation and got seated immediately. Easy parking. Fun, high-energy vibe with great music, and the service was amazing. You know it's legit when you see Thai diners there too. Ordered the SAAP wings, pad kee mao, spicy basil chicken, and larb chicken salad. Everything was flavorful, and the wings are de-boned which makes them super easy to eat. Pro tip: ask for mild unless you really love spice. Order items From the Chef off the menu it's their specials. Clean bathrooms, great experience overall. Definitely coming back, to try the items From The Chef. There are 2 picnic tables outside great for outdoor dining with your dog.

Amazing ambiance and good service. I would definitely order the Roasted Duck Curry and Saap Ver fried rice again, but would avoid the seafood stir fry (underwhelming).

We walked in on a Tuesday around 7:30 as a party of 8 and didn't have to wait at all. We ordered the crispy pork belly, green curry with pork, pad see ew, and pineapple fried rice! All were good but I would say the pork belly and green curry stood out to me the most. Rice is not included and costs $4 per bowl. Luckily they are large bowls so you can split them amongst 2 people. It's pretty loud and dark in there at night. They have strobe lights and sports games on. It's a fun environment.

The service here was okay. They seemed super busy for a monday and it took a while for the food to come out which they warned us. I had asked for less ice on my iced tea but the server didn't accommodate even though she said she would. I'm not sure how clean they are but they could do a better job keeping their bathrooms clean. Probably won't visit again because it was pricey but had a good time overall.

This is a really cool space with a fun ambience. The menu has a few unique things and overall I enjoyed my meal here. It seems like a lot of things are deep fried here, so while it's tasty, it may not be the most healthy. On the pricier side. Crispy rice salad - I've never had this before and I loved it! The crunchy rice and super tangy dressing was delicious with the fresh herbs. Wings - these are covered in a tangy, slightly spicy powder. Pretty good. Basil duck - good flavor, but the duck was overly salty. Pad kee mow - not impressed with this one. Tofu was still cold inside, and the flavor was just okay.

Delicious Thai spot with a good atmosphere!! I came on a weeknight and was seated immediately (plenty of seating space inside). Cute decor and had sports games playing! We ordered: - pad see ew (DELICIOUS 10/10 recommend) - crispy chicken fried rice (also amazing, the crispy chicken was a perfect add an really elevated the fried rice) Overall food was spot on, exactly what I wanted and very authentic tasting. Would recommend and will be back!

I had such a great lunch here and am glad I got to try several non-typical Thai dishes! It's huge inside and there are at least two bathrooms that I saw. We were seated immediately since it was pretty empty (had lunch at noon on a Thursday). The server was attentive. For a table of four, we ordered: Larb Fish (5/5) This was SO GOOD!!! Not spicy and the crispy fish was so good. No bones either. This is definitely a pretty big portion so it is better to get it for at least 3-4 people. Chicken Ginger Rice (4/5) This really reminds me of Hainanese Chicken. I really liked the broth that came with it but wasn't a big fan of the sauce. Pad Thai (5/5) Some of the best Pad Thai I have had! I liked that it was on the sweeter side. Saap Ver Fried Rice (5/5) This was also delicious but spicy even though we asked for mild. It was a good level of heat though!

Came on a Friday night at 6PM - prime time but it was not busy at all. Plenty of tables open. We called beforehand and made a reservation but they claimed they didn't have any for us... luckily it didn't matter. The interior is very cute and lively. The service was not that great. It felt like the person to seated us and took our order didn't want to be there. We ordered 3 items - pork shoulder salad, pad thai, and tom yum noodle soup. We also got the thai tea and the lime thai tea. The pork shoulder was fine, just nothing too special. The pad Thai was so good though and the tom yum noodle soup was spicy and super sour. Two great items I'd recommend! The thai tea was good but we didn't really care for the lime Thai tea. Came for my birthday but didn't get any complimentary items like other reviews said. Overall, will definitely come back.

I've came here multiple times now. Food is always solid - flavorful, consistent, good portions, and there is large variety of different dishes. Food comes out quick, and the restaurant is colorful and lively. The only thing is the service is sometimes hit or miss. The servers are generally nice, but the past two times I've visited, there was one server that gave us slight attitude/impatience that I noticed and didn't appreciate. Not sure I'll come back again after this.

Came by on a Friday night and was seated right away. Service was friendly and parking was easy. The food was delicious! I got the Tom Sum Ploo Pla Raa, med spicy, and the grilled pork shoulder. I want to come back to try more with a group to enjoy thelively atmosphere. Recommend!

saap ver is a delicious thai street food spot in potrero hill/soma area! i really enjoyed this meal. the pad see ew was super flavorful and basil chicken was awesome too. note that the noise level inside is quite loud and echoey, i felt that i was shouting. the service is standard. overall, cant wait to go back and try more dishes!!

Nice vibes and good food. We got the green curry, which was on the spicier side, as well as the pad kee mao. The portion sizes and prices were in-line with what you'd expect in San Francisco. We didn't need a reservation and could just walk in :)

My favorite Thai food spot in SF! Saap Ver has become a go-to place for dinner with a group of friends, as they are accommodating to large parties (usually visit with 6-8 people). I make reservations for a large party dinner, but I have walked in a couple of times with small groups and been seated almost immediately. The ambiance is lively and very casual, with sports games playing on the TVs. It can get loud, so conversations usually split into smaller groups when I am with a large party. Service quality can vary depending on the server and how crowded it is, but it is never horrendous. I would say the average of their service is around 3.5 out of 5. The food here is excellent and great for sharing! Here are some of my recommendations: Saap Ver Fried Rice: Such a flavorful dish! The highlight is definitely the crispy pork belly. The only caution is that even the mild spice level is pretty spicy. Pumpkin Curry: Creamy and coconut-y! Great vegan option. Rice is not included, so I definitely recommend ordering it on the side! Pad Thai: Classic! Noodles are perfectly chewy. The balance of sweet, sour, and savory flavors is amazing. Thai Iced Tea: Delicious drink. Pairs perfectly with the spicy dishes. A lot of dishes can be pretty spicy, so make sure to ask for mild if you have a low spice tolerance like me. As mentioned, even at a mild spice level, they can still be spicy, so please be cautious! Can't wait to be back again for more amazing dishes!

If you're going to do that, do add a small bit of oil, it's really spicy. The chicken was tender which was such a good blend. Their Thai Iced Tea is so good and creamy. They serve it in a huge ice ball! It was pretty cool and unique. The person who served us was very kind and welcoming. I loved his energy, I wish I got his name. I only knocked the restaurant down by a star because the servers were pretty pushy with wanting us to leave despite the multitude of empty tables around us. Besides that, the food is really delicious. The papaya salad is amazing if you like spice! There was a great kick and acidity to the papaya salad distributed throughout the fresh vegetables in the dish. I highly recommend! The pumpkin fries were also a great choice: crispy fry with soft pumpkin inside, maintaining the overall pumpkin flavor profile. The sauce they provide on the side (sweet and sour plum sauce), cut through the fry but didn't overwhelm the pumpkin itself. For myself, I got the yellow curry with chicken. The curry dishes do not come with rice, so you will have to order that on the side. The curry is not only a generous portion, but FULL of ingredients. They do not skimp on the meat, potatoes, etc. Highly recommend trying Farmhouse Kitchen for some flavorful Thai dishes!

Fatty pork belly goes very well with the lighter vegetables. The service was very good. The workers were very nice. The inside was cool with a modern design. In my opinion Lapisara ranks in the middle due to the other excellent options available. Seated immediately--had a reso but on a Wednesday morning not really necessary. It took a long time for the single employee to get to us but we weren't in a hurry. Cappuccino was very good in a cute "bear mug" and very reasonably priced. We shared a pacific omlet--not much crab, lots of shrimp, and nice swiss cheese/scallions but tasted kind of fishy--potatoes were only avg. Son said huevos rancheros were average. Price point good for SF and portions adequate to share. Location convenient so we will try dinner there tonight before a comedy show nearby. Dinner-5++ stars; 4 of us Had dinner last night-6pm-reso but not needed. only one other group dining. Single Waitress was great-we let her know we needed to leave in about an hour for a show and she timed everything perfectly--we even had time for dessert. we ordered so many items that she brought over an extra table--we shared everything family style. Most Yelp reviews only mention brunch but the dinner was awesome--service; food: taste/quality, presentation, portions, prices we phenomenally low for SF ($200 with a bottle of wine for 4 people). We started with the garlic butter clams-small but tasty. Tuna tartar was excellent quality and enough to share. Samosas were more like empanadas--very good with peanut sauce so good it rivaled my own home made. We continued our culinary adventure with crab fried rice-delicious, a large portion and my son who lives in SF and has tried dozens of crab fried rice ranked it in the top tier. The pacific catch rice noodles with crab was also excellent-big portion, lots of crab, tasty. Final entree was their specialty-Mussaman Curry. Wow, tender meat/potatoe "stew" with a very unique flavor from the star anise/cinnamon and peanut--to die for. Creme Brulee was very good with lots of fresh fruit accompaniment My only complaint was a very limited wine selection. Lapisaia will become one of our regular spots for dinner!!!

We would've expected the pork to be sliced maybe in half or fourths to make the dish feel like a "pork fried rice" than a fried rice + pork mix, but it still worked well and if you love pork, this will definitely be your fix! 5/5 - Pad Thai - We thought the restaurant nailed this classic noodle dish. During our visit, we shared three dishes: the Thai coconut hot cakes from their specials menu (which they highly recommended), the beef salad for some protein, and the drunken noodles. The Thai coconut hot cakes were warm, gooey, and filled with coconut milk. I really enjoyed the contrast between the crispy bottoms of the cakes and the chunks of pumpkin and corn throughout. The beef salad and drunken noodles were both good, but I will say they didn't necessarily stand out compared to similar dishes I've had at other Thai restaurants.
