The displays are neat, the aisles are clear, and the merchandise is easy to browse. You can tell real care goes into how the store is maintained. The deals are fantastic, with great discounts on top brands and new inventory throughout the store. Even the smaller details stand out -- the restroom was clean, tidy, and well stocked, which shows how much pride the team takes in keeping everything in order. The staff deserves special mention. But there are other stores here along with restaurants and coffee shops. Seems like this is more of a place to hang out at to me. They had live music the time I was here. I got lucky and found some street parking, but make sure you feed that meter, the Berkeley meter patrol doesn't play. They are waiting for that meter to expire and they circle this area a lot!!

It's not a big street and there's a limited number of shops, but it's nice to take a quick stroll down. This is a moderate size Costco, with a parking lot that gets full on the weekends. There's some street parking but it's limited. As usual, this Costco has the great value that all Costco's are known for.

My tip: wait until there are only a couple of people ahead of you before heading over so you don't spend extra on parking. I've also sold at the College Avenue location and found Shattuck to be a much better experience overall. Parking was easier, the store felt less crowded, and I thought the men's selection was noticeably stronger. There are lots of consignment options these days, but I received a good amount in store credit for my son's clothes and left happy. I'll definitely be back.
