Beware of employee Sandra. The rudest interaction I've ever had in a retail store. Today, March 31st 2026, my husband and I went in to exchange a utensils storage container (unused, not even open! However, there was a tiny wooden part that came with the item or possibly one of the others since we bought 3!) anyway, the employee checking us out had asked another employee about our product (maybe she thought it was broken) and Sandra came up and refusing our return, then started to raise her voice, accusing us of breaking our UNOPENED item. Both my husband and I asked for her to show us where it was broken and she refused to open it.. if it's broken, why not open it? Oh that's right, because it was brand new. She said "this is her store and she knows her products" yeahhhh right!!! She also proceeded to tell us to take our item back to Canoga and return it there as she won't accept it And walked away. Uh what?! Just WOW. I'm blown away that this woman is employed with such a BAD attitude. I shop at Marshall's a lot and I'm scared to go back to the store now. Might have to take my money elsewhere. Overall, a manager came up to the front and of course, accepted our return. I'm not done with this. You cannot treat people like this. I'm calling management tomorrow and corporate. This has to be one of the best Marshalls in the valley! I always find something to buy at this location. Most stores are overcrowded and too busy, granted there are times this location is like that, like the holidays, but other than that it has a great selection! Service is great, it happens to be near where I work so I'm able to stop by during lunch without much hassle. Be mindful of the parking, they have a lot but it's pretty tight spaces. read more

I recently visited the Marshall's location in Encino and was quite annoyed with the overall store conditions and the checkout experience. The store's appearance was chaotic. There was a ton of merchandise strewn everywhere, making it difficult to shop and navigate the aisles. It felt messy and unorganized, which just significantly screws the browsing experience that Marshall's is known for. The real problem was at the checkout. Despite a very long line--easily over two dozen people--there was only one cashier working. Meanwhile, I observed lots of other workers walking around the floor who were not helping to reduce the growing line! Waiting that long for a single purchase is frustrating and shows a lack of attention to customer service and operational efficiency. I hope management addresses the staffing at the registers soon. read more

After being closed for months for renovations, this location still looks absolutely the same...Not sure what they did but the styles are still boring and the junior section is very limited:( I pop in now and then when I have a return from a different location and check out the racks...nada for me...The beauty section is pretty good. I come here sometimes and usually the staff is pretty nice and accommodating. Not today however!! Sandra is SO rude and wouldn't accept my return of a comforter I had bought here. When I purchased the comforter I specifically asked if I would be allowed to return it if I wasn't happy with it and they told me yes. I come here on occasion when traffic going home is horrible. Good to kill some time, the store is a decent size but a bit messy at times. The selection available for clothes is average, I've found an item or two I like at a good price but there are other stores with a better selection. Of course that's to my taste, you would need to check it out on your own to judge for yourself. The staff needs to all be on the same page when it comes to using the store credit card. I forgot my physical card once and was told I could pull it up on the app and she would input the information. App was down but I showed her on the web and I was told that's not allowed...strange but whatever I paid with my debit card but was upset my over $270 purchase wouldn't go towards points. A few weeks later I came back and I tried to use the app to pay since I forgot it again and was told that wasn't allowed...explained what happened last time and was finally allowed to input the numbers myself. Not sure why I even had to explain! Also, don't use the restrooms here unless it's an absolute emergency! They're disgusting half the time, trash piled high in the trash cans and on the floor. I was violently mugged in the parking lot of the Encino Marshalls at 10:45 AM on January 22. Three masked men attacked me while I was walking to my car with a shopping bag, knocked me to the ground, threatened to kill me, and stole my watch, necklace, and bracelet. They were staked out in the lot waiting for their next victim. They were in a black BMW 3 series and if it wasn't me they attacked it was going to be someone else. Police said they were stationed there waiting to attack. The most shocking part is that the store's security guard witnessed the entire attack while I screamed for help and did nothing. He didn't intervene and didn't even call 911, later telling me he only handles "loss prevention." This was a violent assault that could have cost someone their life. There are cameras positioned directly above the parking area that captured the incident, yet no one monitoring them called police either. The only reason authorities even had a photo of the attackers' license plate was because I chased their car through the lot screaming for help as they escaped. I have contacted corporate multiple times and received no response. For a major retailer, the complete lack of concern or follow-up after a violent crime against a customer is extremely disappointing. Until Marshalls/TJX Companies addresses the safety issues in this parking lot and responds to victims, shoppers should be aware that security there appears to be focused only on merchandise -- not customer safety. read more

I used to pop into this Encino Marshalls kinda often and always found a few things but then stopped due to this store being closed for quite a while for renovations. Well this past week I was in the area and to check out the renovations and see if they had a few items I need. I see nothing renovated. Maybe they had to fix things that you can't see but the look was not updated whatsoever. I didn't find anything but you don't always do. The thing that struck me and the reason for this review is how overcrowded it is - especially in the clothing and shoe areas. It is absolutely impossible to have more than one person in any aisle, let alone if they have a cart. In the shoe area, I'd be afraid to bend down to look at shoes on a lower rack for fear of a domino affect of toppling every other row of shoes. Every aisle is that close to another!!!!! In the clothing section, fuhgeddaboudit!!! (forget about it). There was zero chance of entering without being swallowed up into a black hole. The skin care section seems to have more inventory than 5 Marshalls but I had no energy left after navigating this store so I split. The parking lot was packed which I never used to see and I even had one car waiting for me to leave. I don't know if that the new norm or not. On January 31st, my mother walked into this Marshalls looking to buy some items for herself. When she reached the cash register, she playfully greeted the cashier with "Hola!", to which the cashier quickly responded "Here it is not Hola, it is Hi". Now, I am not one to make a fuss over other people's ignorance, but that is so incredibly unacceptable, it makes perfect sense why interactions like this go viral in social media platforms. Unfortunately my mother does not remember this employees name, but she was approximately in her 50s, and also based on appearance, she looked like someone that could potentially speak Spanish. She was wearing glasses and had short hair. It is very unfortunate I wasn't there to witness this, because I would not have had to resort to a Yelp review to let management know the kind of customer service this store provides to its customers. I am however thankful that my mother was perfectly capable of putting her in her place, since she also speaks perfect English. But I digress. I hope this review reaches management and talks to this employee before they find themselves in far more trouble over a statement that is rather spicy considering the situation this country is facing at this point in time. I had a very disappointing experience at this Marshalls location this morning due to the manager on duty. Her demeanor was rude, condescending, and unnecessarily aggressive. She spoke down to both customers and staff, constantly needed to have the last word, and showed no respect or professionalism in her interactions. As a manager, she sets the tone for the store, and unfortunately it was a very negative one. Customer service should feel welcoming and respectful, and this experience was the complete opposite. My experience at this, Marshall was not pleasant, I'm a regular customer at this Marshalls and how is it that none of the employees know that they are supposed to honor the price for the customer when it is priced wrong. By law when an item is tagged in place and found by customer, they have to honor the price, They failed to have stated or posted at cash wraps and associates don't know Any of the policies. I wanted to buy an item that I personally found on the sales section and one of the associates name. Maria O. started yelling at me and for a manager And and sent another associate to follow behind me when I wanted to speak to the manager on duty, she seen the price that was tagged on the item and refused to give me the item for the price that was tagged. The next day I walked in to see if I can find the item again, and it was found in the same place that I had found it the first time, and that the price that I had told the assistant manager to honor the price for me. So it seems to me that the employees like to hide things if Maria O. seen me grabbing the item from where I found it and it was placed in the same area. I don't deserve the disrespect from that employee and her attitude towards customers that behavior is unacceptable, i've already called customer service and I am still waiting on a response from a higher up. read more

Came to this marshall's yesterday at 12/17 to purchase skincare I had seen a few days before when I was there (12/15). As soon as I got out of my car, an employee drove right next to me in a white SUV while wearing christmas ears and let me know in a very aggressive manner that "This is Marshall's parking only" insinuating I was not parked there to go to Marshall's! Her tone was extremely aggressive, and on top of that I was either being recorded or getting a photo taken of me or my car! This made me extremely uncomfortable and I calmly proceeded to make sure my car doors were locked and walked inside Marshall's to buy what I went there for. This is a great Marshalls/Homegoods! It has a large variety of very stylish items, clothing, decor and even treats.

Went to this Marshalls for the first time and it was soo fun! The woman in accessories with the green/blue eyes was super super nice! She made my time there very enjoyable as she explained where everything was placed and all other sections in the store that she recommends. I did go to the mens department as well to look for a few things for my partner but that section of the store was too MESSY! It was frustrating even trying to look for anything as nothing was where it was supposed to be and the lady looked like she was not having it so definitely didn't feel welcomed there. I ended up just leaving instead of looking through the unorganized sections. If it wasn't for the woman in accessories I would not have given this place a 5 star read more

Not my most favorite Marshall's location, but it isn't bad. It's not as big as other Marshall's I've been to, but it tends to stay packed. The parking lot is huge. So that's always a plus. They have added a lot more home stuff in the back, since merging with HomeGoods, I'm assuming? Their selection is okay. Not the best, but still good enough to scour. Each section seems moderately smaller than other Marshall's sections. Walked here yesterday to get out of the office, and some old lady educated me on crystal glasses, and how to tell if they are real crystal, by the noise it makes when you tap on it. She was stoked to be getting retail of $100 value for about $20. She couldn't wait to share the news with me! Saw some teen girls being approached by an older woman asking if their parents were there because she was doing an event, but needed the whole family? Strange. Anyway, they had some cute stuff, but didn't bring my card so I didn't end up spending any money...which isn't a bad thing. There was no want to communicate and show them the pics of exactly what I got at their other store and they said I would have to go to all the stores in LA vs being able to check it for me. The Asian female cashier straight out asked me what country I'm from, for absolutely no reason. There was no small talk whatsoever that made her think that question was appropriate. Gee whiz! The newly revamped Marshalls Home Goods is amazing! Whoever merchandises the home decor and housewares areas have blown me away. Collections to decorate your home are artfully displayed with some really nice pieces. Large area rugs, chairs, tables, pillows and more have been added to this store. I walked out of there with some beauty items and small gifts. The checkout line moved pretty quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. Ronald was my cashier when I was called up to the registers. He was friendly and focused on customer service, even wrapping my new little owl. The store is not bad, but I went there last night and it is scarily dark in the parking lot at night- also it gets dark so early in December. Parking is a problem there and there is almost no lighting. Customers will have a hard time parking close to the entrance and especially for women it is creepy. It's so dark that you can't see if someone is lurking and there is no security guard. I hope they resolve this issue and put up better lighting and add some security! read more
