    This review is for nothing more than management's incompetence, after waiting in a long line for what seemed like hours "manager Angela" refused my slightly ripped $100 bill. Also said she had no tape. Working in retail I'm aware of what's except-able. This manager is not educated on what's expectable.

    Went there today and Gladys was VERY rude. She barked at me like she was herding cattle. She yelled at me to put the cart on the left side of the door with such attitude, sounded like she was scolding a child. mind you i saw so many ppl not putting their carts away and leaving it in the cashiers aisle and I was thinking how rude, We should be helping these workers not making it harder, so There i go pushing my cart to where there's other carts parked only to be literally scolded?! so rude and offputting i felt so caught off guard i literally thought she was talking to another employee, by the time i realized she was talking to me i was so confused. Can't believe people dont have basic customer service skills to the point they cant talk to us like humans.

    came here to go use the restroom, I needed to go really bad. First thoughts on the restrooms are your typical average retail restrooms nothing out of the ordinary, as i was getting ready to do my business I am welcomed by a fellow cockroach. If you're looking for a place to use the restroom it's definitely not here, won't come back to use the restroom

    All floors full of make up and product residue.

    I love Marshall's but this Montebello Marshall's is sadly very unkept and disorganized. Why is it that the store managers don't reach out to upper management headquarters to get this store and floors professionally cleaned. There's filth all over the floors, dried up spills and dirtiness everywhere. We are fortunate to have this local store and it just seems neglected. I don't see the filthy floors and restrooms in other locations. Let's do better folks. One star for just having the store close to home. Please help keep this store clean, safe and open !! managers, shoppers and headquarters.

    This store has horrible customer service! They never have enough employees at check out & there's always a huge line every time I come here! Manager Henry customer service sucks, he not even fir for a manager if you can respect that customers are waiting in a long line! I will not be come back to this Marshall's.

    Clean fitting rooms are one of the pros at this particular Marshall's.

    PROS: Great deals and excellent merchandise especially if you have a smaller build (30-32 waist, small & medium shirt size). CONS: Long lines and the never ending temptation to buy too many items. The staff are attentive and my returns have been hassle free. Recommended but be patient with the lines which can be quite long particularly on evenings and weekends.

    the staff here are so absolutely rude!! The manager is the worst una pesima! good selection but two of the staff I encountered were so rude.

    Apparently they need to ask for your ID if you're paying with a gift card. Didnt know that was store policy.

I didn't open the package until later that night when I was all ready and all I had to do was wear the dress, I opened the package, took the dress out, took the tags off, opened the zip and put it on, once the zip was open, it wouldn't close, and when it did, it opened right up and at this point I had to wear the other outfit. I specifically ordered that dress for that day, i was so mad. So i contacted them to returen it and send another, I even sent them the pictures. They agreed and said as soon as they got a tracking number they would ship. When they received the item, I called and they said they couldnt send me another because the tags were taken out. I feel like tags are easy to replace, had I known before hand, I would have included them in the return package. They shipped the dress back, and now it's July , and I can't find the right zip for it, it still doesn't work. It's brand new but damaged. I spent $120 on that dress, they need to takecare of their mistakes and their customers better. If I wasn't so into bandage dresses, I would have never purchased from them again. Their clothes are amazing, great quality, but their polices are messed up.

What's the harm in popping in to see if they have any available in store as online was a fail. It's located inside the Montebello mall. First time here as well. Even though it just opened not that long ago when I arrived, the place was pretty lively. I mean some of the stores weren't even open yet and there were people out and about. The store itself isn't that big. Your typical sports store with all things sports. Tennis shoes, jerseys and apparel. Guess it was my lucky day, they had what I was looking for and with all the sizes. The whole online thing was a little off as it said that they were out of stock. Don't know if that's just for online or if the stores were factored in as well. Anyways, they had what I came for. I had asked one of the sales girl if they had the other version of it which at first they did online but it must have sold out as we couldn't find it. Anyways, she asked if I was a members and if i wanted to join for 10.00 off. Guess it's like a club card situation. Scan the QR and input my information and then the 10.00 was taken off with purchase. I'm assuming they make commission whenever anyone signs up. Anyway, staff were friendly, got what I came for and saved 10.00. That was good experience.

However,…read moreafter reading similar experiences from other customers, it has become apparent that there may be employees--more specifically managers--at this location who treat customers in a disrespectful and unprofessional manner. This past Tuesday 5/26 at around 8:00 PM, I visited the store with my much younger sister to help her find a dress for her sports banquet. We were in a rush since the store was closing in about an hour. We entered a fitting room together without noticing the sign stating that only one person is allowed per dressing room. I had left my drink on the table nearby and was focused on helping my sister quickly find something appropriate for her event. While we were in the fitting room, someone aggressively knocked and banged on the door, demanding--not politely asking--that only one person could be in the fitting room. Startled, I immediately opened the door to see what was going on. The store manager had informed us that only one person was permitted and pointed to the signs but I had to see who was obnoxiously disrespectfully and chaotically approaching us. I explained that I genuinely had not been made aware of the policy and proceeded to say we have signs while pointing at the sign. I quietly left the fitting room area. When then I returned to retrieve my belongings, including my phone and purse from the dressing room, the manager again approached me and demanded that I stand behind the yellow line and clear the pathway. At that point, I calmly responded, "There's a way to say things. Or ask people for things." My concern was never the policy itself--it was the rude and confrontational manner in which it was being enforced. The manager then claimed with attitude that when knocking she said, "Sorry, only one person per fitting room." I respectfully told her that no apology had been made and that the interaction had come across as rude from the beginning. She repeated herself, and I again stated that there had been no apology. After that, we both walked away. I have been a Tenshoppe customer for years, long before this location opened, and have shopped at the Cerritos, Highland Park, and South Gate locations without ever experiencing anything remotely similar. Unfortunately, this was not even my first unpleasant interaction at the Montebello location. On a previous visit, I was also assisted by a different manager on shift in a manner that felt dismissive and unfriendly, though not to this extent. Customer service and communication skills matter. Policies can absolutely be enforced, but they should be communicated respectfully. I will say that the non-management employees I have encountered at this location have generally been pleasant and helpful. My concern is specifically with the management's approach to customer interactions, which could benefit from improved professionalism and stronger customer service training. What made the experience even more disappointing is that we likely would have continued shopping and made a purchase as I tend to at this location. Instead, because of how we were treated, we chose not to support this location. We left feeling unwelcome, disrespected, and uncomfortable. A negative interaction with management ultimately drove away what would have otherwise been a paying customer.

It felt incredibly unfair and misleading. What made it worse was the manager Lauras response. She was no help at all and just kept repeating that she "couldn't do anything". It came across as unprofessional and dismissive, like there was no effort to actually resolve the situation or support a customer. Customer service was the worst I've ever experienced. Policies should be clearly communicated upfront, and staff especially management should be willing to handle issues with more care and accountability. I won't be shopping here again.

They had quite a few shirts from her newest album and a few others that had images from some of her older albums. Some of the hoodies and sweatshirts were out of reach, but that was okay because a super nice employee by the name of Child helped get them down and was very attentive our entire shopping trip. He helped find additional sizes too, and mentioned the sale they were having too, which was super appreciated. The other employee, Juliana, helped us at the register and was very helpful as well. This isn't a store I typically shop at, but I would definitely come here again and that's mostly due to their awesome customer service.
