Stopped here on the way back home from Palo Alto. This was definitely a nice Marshall's location, well stocked and organized! So many cute things here, I was excited to see they had some juicy tracksuits in my size so I bought 2. They had a black one too but I just bought a dark blue one so I held back on that one lol. Lots of valentines stuff here right now, some hello Kitty, lots of sports stuff like the giants cups, a lot of sale items too! The furby cup was adorable and on sale for $6 I believe. The wheel of fortune cup set was on sale for $10. The people working here were nice too. Would come back! read more

While looking at some clothes a lady that works in the women's section was working putting some clothes away and decided to get in my face without saying excuse me or anything. I asked her why she did that and she said "well I work doing this all day" and I asked her, "getting in customers face to put clothes way without even an excuse me? That is very disrespectful." I don't come here probably like once a year for the same reason because it hasn't been the first time. Manager needs to learn how to train them! read more

We've been coming here for years since it's the closest discount chain to us now that we live in Redwood City. Pros: I'm giving it 3 stars since it does indeed have some good deals -- pet treats, pet supplies, cosmetics (i.e. sunscreen), frou frou gourmet snacks that never became a hit, random luggage, yoga shit (this is where I got my yoga mat and ball for labor, cheap enough that we got rid of them after I used them in the hospital) and most importantly for us, baby items. We've found some real hits here, including random toys for much cheaper, a Bumbo chair with snap on table and straps to convert into a high chair when placed on a regular chair, and the Graco strollers are often on sale here substantially cheaper than MSRP. For people who reeeeally like taking baby glam shots, they often have sets of baby costuming (i.e. tutus with matching theme hats, age signs) that normally market for way too much. The regular baby clothing selection is also great. Cons: Selection of items is not as good as Home Goods / TJ Maxx. We used to be super close to that when we lived in Belmont, but now it's a little bit of a hike just to tool around looking for good deals on something that may or may not be there. Parking lot here is kind of shady at night, and is near a bunch of dumpsters. Bathroom is atrocious. This time it was more atrocious than usual. Diarrhea in the bathroom, toilet paper quite literally everywhere. Where is management or custodial staff on this?! read more

Every customer care person I have met here is very kind and polite. The long lines also move fairly quickly.

The service is 6/10. There is lots of selection. The price/value is good. The reason I'm giving 2 stars is basically because in this location people rob everyday. Its usually during 5:00 till closing. The rate people rob here is during Sunday. Overall the service is very good. read more

This Marshalls is okay. It's located by the Target in Redwood City. Their clothes left much to be desired but my sister had fun looking at the exercise clothes and gear, and even bought a water bottle. I didn't find as much name brand stuff as some of the other stores. I think stores like Marshalls cater to the demographic and I guess this area is not as fashion forward. read more

Love this store. It is full of great values and the people there are really nice and helpful. I get everything from dust mops to foot wraps, kitchen accessories and handbags...All great values. The store is OK. There can be very nice and hospitable employees and also just the opposite. You can find some pretty good deals just watch the quality and the overall appearance. Eh, it's no Macy's so you can't really complain lol. I've never had a bad customer experience experience at this Marshall's. It's a convenient location and I always find something I can use, even if it's not what I went there for in the first place lol. The registers, however, can be quite slow, although I attribute this to short-staffedness and am a patient person. The tidiness of the store can be lacking at times; I am just comparing what I have seen in other Marshalls (like I'm pretty sure the one in Gilroy is a little cleaner). I usually go here for cheap cosplay shopping, so this works for my purposes. read more

Every time I come here I end up waiting a ridiculous amount of time to purchase my items. There are never enough cashiers. Other employees come and go from the front cashier area but none stop and help clear up the line. It's annoying and as I stand there, I start questioning my purchases and always end up putting a couple items back as I stand there waiting and waiting... and waiting. read more

One of the first Marshalls I've gone into. I was looking for sneakers. I was amazed at the selection, but bummed about the complete lack of anything in my size! Even boxes that did say size 12 on them didn't have size 12 shoes in em. Several of the boxes had children's shoes in them. Most of the shoes seemed to be a mens 7 to 9. I did find a few kitchen things so that was good. Overall it seems hit and miss since it's a discount store. But I'll be back to check it out again! read more

I like this place because they have a wide variety of name brands and off brands to choose from. Yeah, this store is pretty ghetto. However, given the lack of a good TJ Maxx in the area (the old one closed down and the new one S-U-C-Ks) I've started frequenting this Marshalls. It helps that it's right next to good chinese food that charges an armandaleg for delivery and the Target. But I digress. I used to work at marshall's--not a proud time in my life, I'll admit. It was high school, and I was in charge of the shoe section. thanks to my hard work, I improved shoe sales dramatically and was rewarded with a meatball sub (what i would give for a crappy ny meatball sub right now) which I totally took for granted. And from my time in the store, I know that no one who works at marshall's wants to be there. Understand that and your shopping trip takes on a zen air, where you don't necessarily mind that it takes a half hour to checkout or that the lights make you feel like you're in the matrix. I found some great pants for $12 that I couldn't keep because my expanding belly makes cute clothes impossible. But I was also able to find three cute tops (one DKNY and one velvet--I don't know where I've seen that brand before, but it's kinda snazzy) that will accomodate my burgeoning waistline AND hide the fact that my button's undone (and possibly my fly too--motherhood=no shame). very convenient location for me, meaning i can walk there in a matter of minutes and get in a bit of exercise. this one is quite large and generally speaking, well-organized. the shoes are usually the first thing that i see, since they are on the right hand side of the store, immediately upon entering. clothes are in the middle section of the store, but these could definitely be better organized. since i'm a penny pinching shopper, even when it comes to clothes, i will shop here and weave through the rows of discounted clothing. it's really a hit or miss whether or not i find what i'm looking for, since not all sizes and colours are available whenever i come. there's a large section of home goods in the back, everything you need for your kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom. again, selection is based on what they have at the moment, and sometimes i will find what i want, other times, i will not. customer service is average, nothing out of the ordinary. they're open til 9.30pm on most days of the week. read more

This location is not messy or ghetto like some of the other ones. Its is organized and clean. Parking is easy and the customer service and staff are great. They always have a great selection of high end brand name designer handbags that I love. When the mood hits me right, I love to shop going through the racks. It is like a treasure hunt looking for those good buys. I've lived in different parts of the country with Marshalls and had an idea on what to expect. Boy, was I disappointed! Ambiance: What ambiance? The store is always a mess and gives you a nervous feeling because it is so disorganized. Quality: You can find the name brands here, but don't expect to find items of quality. Almost everything that I've gotten has quickly fallen apart or has some defect in it to make it unwearable (as compared to their full price twins). I dread going in here and I feel like I need to decompress and take a shower after a visit to this store. read more

I am giving this a 5 star review because of the manager that was working yesterday. Not only was he super friendly while walking around the store (constantly smiling, saying hello, and offering help) but also he solved some serious backup problems at the register. When I got in line, there were only two cashiers working and 8 customers waiting. The manager immediately came to the front, called all of his employees over the intercom to take stations at cash registers to get the line moving. Customer service at it's finest. I love a bargain and I love browsing through racks and racks of stuff to find that one really cool item BUT this place tried my patience. Incredibly disorganized and messy and overstuffed racks. When a rack is too full with hangers, you pull one thing out and you end up tangled in 5 other items of clothing and the it just gets worse from there. Every rack was like this. I spied some really adorable Coach pumps for $120 (marked down from $350+) but I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much. In a Marshalls. For one item. Might go back if the mood ever struck me, but I'd rather hit up Goodwill for a better deal and less of a headache. read more

They've recently redone this store and when I revisited it today, it was totally way more organized and well laid out which is half of the battle when you're looking for a bargain! The only thing that was a little weird is that there were racks sorted by color, kind of a la goodwill, without respect to size. Somehow, though, I don't find as much fun stuff at this Marshalls compared to others... Worth a stop while you're checking out Target next door. read more

Just stood in lines of 25-45 deep at IKEA and Nordstrom to return items. Both had only 2 people at registers. It took 1.5 hrs. to JUST RETURN at both. I am never shopping here again. I bought an exercise ball yesterday. I mistakenly bought one that was too small (for people 4'8 to 5'3) and I need a bigger one (I am 5'9). I couldn't find my receipt in the bag, my purse or elsewhere. I always keep receipts, so this was new for me. I just wanted to make an exchange and l got was a shrug and "I can't help you." I am now stuck with something that I don't want. I know this experience was partly my fault, but I know that I am not the first person to try to exchange without a receipt and I can't stand when customer service doesn't try to help. read more

this was the worse expieranse i have ever had with ANY Customer service... I called up to see if they had a Polo in stock. while explaining what it looked like to the representative she sounded distracted, then asked me to repeat everything again.... I did, she then said hold, no more then 30sec later he came bacck on the phone to say they didnt have n stock.. i asked again are you sure? i stated a pink stripped polo with a green colller (you would think easy to spot or atleased grasp) she said no we dont have that... I said what did i say the shirt looked like, just because you could tell she wasnt paying attenchin. she then said thank you and hung up on me.. I called back and spoke with the manager, she was even more rude then the other thing i was talking too... she tried to say that i hung up on her and that i was lying....
