Wow! The customer service at this store is fantastic! I couldn't find a specific brand and was approached by an associate who personally escorted me to the correct rack! At the fitting room I was greeted by the nicest associate SHOKY! After trying on clothes and sharing with her I needed a different size but they didn't have it, she suggested I check the clearance rack! I did just that and she was right- I did find more of my favorite brand! Had SHOKY said nothing, I would have left without purchasing anything! What a fantastic employee she is! I love how clean and organized this store is. In comparison to Ross next door, its like night and day! I usually have an item in mind that I want when I come here, and with everything clearly marked and labeled, its easy to make a beeline to that section. Their purse section is massive - they have so many! And they're all organized by color, so it makes for a nice shopping experience. I've found many cute purses here, all for a sweet deal! The clothes section is a hit or miss - sometimes they have really cute stuff - other times they have nothing. Its all the luck of the draw! Also, speaking of luck, you might be able to stumble across some cute iPhone cases here. There isn't a whole lot to choose from, but sometimes you'll find a diamond in the rough! I found a cute purple case a few months ago for $7.99! The only thing that kind of disappoints is their shoe section. While its a fairly big section, I just don't see a great variety of shoes. Like for example, I stopped here the other day in search of some nice boots but they only had four or five styles - none of which I liked. And they were still like $60! Sorry, but $60 is not a good price to me. Majority of the shoe department was flats and gaudy heels. Not at all what I was looking for. Ver misleading on store hours. Thursday their website and phone store hours are from 9am to 7pm. I called while outside and they told me it opens up at 9:30am. Good Marshall's located in a strip mall. It's clean and well stocked. The store is well organized and items are easy to find. Even though the line is always long, cashiers move people right along as swiftly as possible. Great place to buy gifts, gift bags, and trinkets too. read more

So clean and organized!!! However, I did go to Marshalls right after the Ross next door so that might be skewing my overall opinion. I have been going to this Marshalls for years, they have an excellent assortment of kitchen and bathroom accessories. The other excellent section at this Marshalls is the shoe area. They always seems to have items in multiple sizes and the clearance section is well stocked with a good mix of cheap and name brand shoes. This time around I was looking for something in particular which I didn't find so I didn't have a chance to experience the cashiers however as I was wandering around the store I was asked if I needed any help, service like that is great especially when stores such as Ross and TJ Max who sell some of the same items don't always emphasize customer service. read more

I typically come to this location it because I went to Ross first and didn't find what I was looking for there. Today I was shopping for swimming trunks and Ross had a very limited selection so I came here. I navigated towards the men's swimwear and found that their inventory was about 5 times as large as the Ross I was just at. While I was shopping I did notice that their prices were a bit higher than I expected considering that Marshalls is supposed to be a more affordable option. The swimming trunks here were $20-22, only 2-3 dollars cheaper than every other retailer. But a few bucks is a few bucks I guess. On the way out I ended up taking look at the men's clearance section and I ended up picking up a belt for 10 bucks. Overall I enjoyed my time here although I spent more money than I was expecting. read more

Marshall's is the best place to come for jeans. you'll find a good selection almost every time you come in, and the prices are a fraction of the price of most discount stores, like some "rack" stores. I bought my favorite pairs of jeans here for under $30.00, and they fit and look great. You will also find a great selection of shoes and boots, kids clothes and home goods. We have 3 marshalls near our home and I can always find good quality of clothes with cheap prices on this property. The management and cashiers keep sanitizing their work area that this definitely made feel so safe especially these days. Organized very well by sizes and genders as well. I'm not racist at all, but my problem with white people is they buy the clothes I wear. I get sweet deals at this Marshall's because who the hell is going to buy a Penguin shirt in Del Amo? I used to shop at Marshalls a lot back in the 90's, but I've found that they just don't offer the same discounts as before. They do have a lot of stuff, though, unlike Ross which seems to run out of stock quite often--especially the one on Carson in Long Beach--but the deals aren't there and also the service is abominable. The last time I went, there were about 20 people in line, and only two registers open. read more

When shopping in the area I was browse threw this store their selection on season clothing for woman, kids and men is always good at this location. The home department also has carries good items for a reasonable price. Every department is nicely organize and full stock. The floor team are friendly and cashier are nice. My only complaint is the shoe section most of the time you fine great deal on shoes but the selection of styles are repeated and limited on the colors. But yes I enjoy buying wedges here when I do fine a pair for $40-50 at a reasonable price. read more

I really enjoy this Marshalls because it's much brighter and cleaner than the Ross next door. They have a great selection of SHOES! clothes and household stuff for $. And I like $ price tag. I get flustered very easily by shopping in places that get disorganized or super crowded but I really never experience that here. Marshalls has done some updating at this location. There are now sections for the 'Designer' items versus the the plain sportswear. The shoes section is now humongous. And you can bring in up to 10 items in the fitting room at a time. read more

I always feel very hit or miss at these stores. I think they have a great home section. You can find some unique home decorating items. A ton of cheap frames for pictures and odds and ends. I enjoy finding crazy random things. last time I was here I picked up a sign that says, "Cat Scan" with a picture of a cat's face. I work at a hospital and thought it was funny so i picked it up, but man is it random. last time I was here I was in search of some quality sheets in a twin size. I found one set, which was actually pretty good considering I couldn't find any decent ones anywhere else, including Anna's Linen's around the corner. I still wish they had a little more variety. I rarely shop for clothes at this particular Marshall's. I have never had much luck finding what I need. They do have a good selection of larger sizes. XL and up. This is in reference to my visit May 14, 2018 at around 6 pm. The reason I'm writing this review is based of the way one of the cashiers acted toward a customer and what I over heard her gossiping to a coworker about. The woman I am talking about is a black heavy set woman, about 5'10" with a curly bob and glasses, I believe they are red framed. She was working the far right register closest to the door. I'm reference to the customer; it was an Asian woman who looked like she didn't speak English very well, if not any and she was trying to return something which was on a TJ max receipt and didn't understand she had the wrong receipt. I was looking at stuff in line (because the five cashiers were taking FOREVER to move the line) and I can over hear the cashier getting upset, raising her voice and borderline bullying the customer to the point the woman took her things and walked away. As the woman walked away the cashier yelled behind her in a sassy manner "okay then" or something along those lines. It was loud enough myself and 6 other customers who were in line turned our heads thinking there was an argument about to happen. I felt embarrassed and bad for the woman because that cashier was dehumanizing, rude and caused a scene. In reference to what I over heard; I guess in the time I finally reached the register she was working from, she clocked out and was replaced by a different coworker. The rude cashier was standing there talking about how there's "another snitch" working at the store and continued to talk loudly about how much she disliked that coworker for about five minutes and proceeded to talk about her as she was walking out of the door, getting louder the further she was. That woman does not have any respect for customers and coworkers. I can only imagine how exhausting it must be to work with her. That type of employee is a cancer to not only your team and store but to the face of the company. Not only was the store a mess, the line took about 25 minutes to see 6 customers but we all had to witness this cashier berate and antagonize a customer and then talk down illy about a coworker. Where do I start. So I purchased a comforter set at the Marshalls in Compton only to realize that the shams were missing. Within a few hours I sent my husband to return them at the Marshalls in Torrance since that was the only store that had them available and had a complete set. The manager there came up with some bullshit excuse about inventory that he couldn't exchange the item due to the missing pieces and I would have to go back to the store I purchased them at to return item. First time I have ever heard that excuse especially having my receipt and was purchase with a marshalls credit card within the same day. Worst customer service ever. read more

Stay away from this location as they are a bunch of thieves. Purchased a kitchen aid mixer and tried to exchange because the one we got was not working properly. Was told by Barry ( who is a horrible manager) they do not accept returns for open items. Had it worked we wouldn't need to return it. Not our fault they sold us faulty merchandise. Could have made it right by just doing the exchange but refused to help us. In fact we called the day before and talked to another manager who had the item waiting for us when we got there. Barry was just very unhelpful and really should not be a manager. Asked for customer service number 5-6 times and was told by Barry again he wouldn't help and to leave the store. Other Marshall's locations are fine but this one you should stay away from. read more

I guess you get what you pay for here...although at other discount stores, including other Marshall's stores, I've had the pleasure of experiencing halfway decent customer service. A really low class place, ....customer service does not exist here. when you walk through the store, no employees say hello or offer to assist you. Employees dress is unprofessional, and act like they work in a tatoo parlor. My husband was not allowed into the family fitting room due to the store policy. We were told that I can take my one year old with me into the fitting room. It is difficult to try on clothes when my baby wants me to pick him up. Also, if I wanted my husband to see how an outfit looks, I would have to leave my baby in the room by himself, or carry him out every time (he was sitting in a stroller). Our son stayed with my husband outside the fitting room area. Every time I came out to show how an outfit looks and then left, our son started crying. It was extremely stressful trying out clothes. I felt we were discriminated as a family. The manager Andrea said she could not let us in the family fitting room because this was the store policy. In one year of my son's life this was the first time my husband, my baby and I were not allowed in the same fitting room. Andrea was very room, and said we can leave and not shop there if we don't like it. We left without me finishing trying out all the outfits. I am still very upset about the incident. I do not plan to come back to this store again. We would rather shop where we are not discriminated. We left the store without looking at some other stuff that we came to look for. read more
