I was not impressed. Went on a Thursday night with friends. The place was not busy. Took quite some time to get our order placed. Our drinks did not come until our dinner was served-45 minutes later. My food was cold. We were never offered refills on anything including water. We asked for separate checks. One person's bill was almost $300! It took four attempts to fix the error. read more

This spot is pretty average. We had enchiladas, burrito, chimichanga and tacos. Tacos are hard sided, not authentic. Burritos we're not ry that different from enchiladas. Oh my gosh, be brave and get the pollo a la diabla. I've never tasted anything like it! The sauce is spicy, savory and delicious. I never want to order anything else again, and we go here often. I can't say enough about Marta's! Besides the food being super yummy, the staff are amazing. I love that Marta comes and talks with us and makes our drinks the way she knows we like them. My family and I were visiting from Seatac area and were out looking for Mexican food. We saw reviews on yelp and thought hey let's give this a try. So we did and we were so glad that we did. Since coming from So Cal 7 years ago, it's been hard to find really good Mexican restaurants. Well we found one! This is a really good reason to visit Lynden again, believe me. We were seated promptly and given pico de gallo and salsa with fresh warm chips. The pico de gallo was fresh and flavorful and so was the salsa. The waitress was pleasant and took our orders for drinks. She was very informative on everything that was available on tap to drink. My husband ordered a negra modelo on tap and loved it; you can't find that just anywhere. Here's what we had and loved: chimichanga with shredded beef, carne asada, enchiladas 3 ways, and nachos with shredded beef. Our food took no time in coming out. Mine were the nachos and I ordered the small order which was still a huge portion. I had guacamole and it was very good. The best of the enchiladas was the mole enchiladas. There are so many ingredients that go into this sauce, do not miss out and not order this. It's worth it. The shredded beef was tender and flavorful. I cannot find anything wrong with the food here which is very surprising since I am really very picky and selective when it comes to Mexican food. We didn't even get to try a margarita but believe me we will when we come back to this area again. You can bet on it. If you happen to be in the Lynden area, go to this restaurant, the food is excellent. read more

The tortilla we were served were disgusting and stale and the waiter got mad at me for asking for new ones saying that "these are a day old so" like that's my problem as a customer. Fucking gross. This is head and shoulders above other Mexican I've had in Lynden. I ordered the pollo mole for lunch and it was about $10. Both the dish and the chips and salsa were incredible. Great value for such high quality food. Can't wait to return. read more

Marta's excellent Tex Mex cuisine is served in a warm,friendly atmosphere. The fajitas and tacos al carbon are amazing. While delicious, Marta prepares her food with the freshest ingredients omitting the unhealthy fats often found Mexican dishes. This is one of our family's favorite Friday night outings. read more

Worst carne assada burrito I have ever eaten. The meat was so tough, I had to rest my jaws every so often as I choked it down. The salsa was good, and the service was good. But it was way over priced. Like 12 dollars for a skinny little burrito. All this coming from someone who lived in San Diego, that knows his Mexican food. I'll never go back. I was excited to try this small locally owned Mexican restaurant we did a to go order and I was very disappointed! The pico is 90% shredded cabbage and black pepper and has no place in pico! Which they charge $8 for if you get to go but it's free if you dine in. Then when you are waiting for your order you can see into the kitchen and the corn tortillas and most ingredients are store bought/ packaged and all the food is microwaved! They get the food out quick but with reheating they should be able to go quick and so quick that when we got home to eat (about a 4 min drive away) the container of beans was freezing cold! The prices are very high for not being fresh cooked food and I could have gone to the store and bought the same tortillas and can of beans and made the same food I just paid way more for! I would love to support this small place but they need to get some real authentic cooking! read more
