My gate was never put in by this guy. Excuses and delays all along the fence job. I do not recommended them!

Had fence installed by Martens. Crew did a nice job starting out but did not install the fence to standard and Ken promised it would be fixed. let alone 2 of the 3 gates installed are no longer working properly after 90 days. This review would be better if upon 1st calling Ken over 3 weeks ago he would have returned a phone call or message - but nothing. I left emails, and messages on all 3 of his listed phone numbers and NOTHING. At this point, DO NOT USE Martens Fencing !!!!! read more

I had a security gate installed on my driveway in April 2018. It has worked a total of 4 months to date (August 2020). when it broke the first time they made me pay for a part at apx $100 and when they put it in it had the exact same issue so they replaced the opener with one that was smaller but according to them just as good. That lasted about 2 weeks, the same part failed and they replaced it on the new motor and again it failed with in weeks. Months later they "fixed it" and it lasted about 45 minutes. George who they subcontract out the openers too is a vial human, doesn't listen, blames the customer for the problems, and never shows up when he says he will. Also Ken Martens the owner refuses to help and claimed I was sabotaging it...Like I want to break my gate...If I knew Ken worked with George I would have never gone with them as he has a horrible reputation. So I would give Ken a good review on just the fencing but he doesn't stand behind his subcontractors work so I cant give Ken a good review because sadly he puts George above his customers. read more

Ken came out to my property July of 2016 to see about repairing a few broken fence posts and installing a new gate. He also gave me a quote for a new gate and new fencing on the opposite side of my yard which would complete that side of my yard to be fenced in. A very generous friend was going to cover the cost of the fence repair and new gate for me and I was covering the cost of the new fencing and new gate on the other side of my yard. It is now mid May of 2017. After MONTHLY promises of coming to get the work done, and finding out he worked all winter...my fence is falling apart waiting to be repaired and I have yet to have the new fencing installed. I have been VERY patient and now I am angry!! Every time he promised, I knew it was all talk. He does not return calls/emails. I called and mentioned that if he didn't want the job he could at least say so but instead all I got was more empty promises. He must think I am stupid or something to believe his talk. He was recommended and I thought he was such a nice man to come over right away. He will never get any recommendations from me. I was played for an idiot to be this patient while he just bullshitted me. Stay far away from this business. My friend was so very kind to want to help me with my fence repair.......Ken could care less. Too bad i had to give the one star. read more

Things with Ken started out great. He made himself available to go out to our property and gave us a very fair estimate for a brand new fence. We even took his helpful suggestion to close off part of the backyard with a hinged gate. Bad weather in the area delayed construction of the fence, which of course was not his fault. However, once the weather started to get warmer he disappeared. We tried to get in contact with him for more than two weeks without one single phone call returned. During this time, we had materials already paid for at Home Depot and a signed proposal with Ken for a March/April fence. I think Ken would have done a great job, but DO NOT go with this company if you are on a deadline or appreciate returned phone calls. read more

The fence looks gorgeous! The owner (Mr. Martens) is very honest and very easy to work with. The estimate price is very reasonable. We had them match the fence of our neighbors who installed the fence last year. To my surprise, the fence turned to be so much better than I expected. The best quality at the best price!
