The owner stopped by our table to say hello. She is such a ray of sunshine! The food was delicious. I enjoyed everything i had. The jerk chicken sandwich, pasta salad, and the grits. I sampled my husband's meal as well. He got the sweet potato waffles. We were thinking that the sweet potato would be infused in the waffle, but we were surprised to find the sweet potato toppings on top of the waffle. It was so scrumptious. We can't wait to go back and try some other items on the menu.

We had the privilege of meeting Blondie and talking to her about some of the menu items. She was fun and lovely. My two favorites - the chicken salad croissant and pimento cheese with candied bacon and pepper jelly. My husband loved the buffalo cauliflower; however, I found it to be too spicy and one piece was enough. We also grabbed the cornbread appetizer, which wasn't a standout. The menu is full of brunch items served on the weekend. I'm ready to come back to enjoy the chicken and waffles, plus Jim's biscuits and gravy. While there I also sampled the red beans and rice (yum) and cornbread salad (double yum). Several lunch and dinner items plus cocktails and drinks. Everyone in your group should find it easy to find a choice. The decor is bright and fun. Service was top notch. Parking is easy. Come support and enjoy Norton Commons!

I'm so glad we found this place yesterday. We arrived early in Louisville for a networking event…read moreand wanted to hang out somewhere with a nice outside area. We definitely found the right place. The patio area with the Koi pond and waterfall was perfect. My wife and I had the Fried Green Tomatoes and Selena's Crab Caps. Their menu looks amazing as did the specials of the day. We didn't have time to eat a full meal, but did enjoy our time outside. Our server was great and one of the owners did come by to check on us also. I would definitely come back to try more of their food.

This is a "bless their heart" review - they tried…read more The wait staff is very friendly. The ambience is dark, rustic, and homey. The coffee is good. They could elevate the coffee service by putting a small container of actual cream on the table instead of the tiny plastic coffee containers that they use at McDonalds. Beignets - do NOT get. These are not traditional beignets. These are heavy, flat, limp square-shaped dough of unknown origin. They stick to the roof of your mouth - literally. Not ideal. We are from South Louisiana. Honestly, they would be better served using a mix from Cafe du Monde in New Orleans or Coffee Call in Baton Rouge. The mixes also are not as good as the places make them in Louisiana, but they would be a far better cry than what is being served. The grits and eggs are devoid of flavor. The eggs were fluffy though. The waffle...let's just say they'd be better off using a good commercial mix as well. Hampton Inn's are better for expectation purposes. The biscuits and gravy were good. The hash is basically cheesy potatoes and once you get beyond the misnomer of hash, they're really good. Maybe we ordered poorly, but I don't think that's the case.

Made it hard to eat a warm pizza in the summer times. The establishment itself was a lot more dirtier than I remembered. I ordered a glass of wine in the glass was really dirty. There were several flies in the restaurant that were bothering us while we were eating and Nats. The table itself was pretty dirty. The quality of the pizza was relatively decent although I felt the Thai pizza was way too tangy and not enough protein on it. The pepperoni pizza the pepperonis were about as big as the pizza which, in my opinion took away from the cheese in the sauce And the quality of dough. I will say the staff was friendly, although we waited about 30 minutes for our food when it wasn't that busy and the cleanliness again was son the poor side. This establishment does have a lot of potential like I used to remember when they first opened, but it seemed that it has went slightly downhill.

So the ambiance, depending on where you are seated is very good or fantastic. The service is mostly abysmal. It's been abysmal for years. It's rather the running joke among friends whom have the money but are often amazed how bad the service is. I really don't think the ownership accepts how bad the service sucks...badly. C'est le guerre. Two out of three ain't bad. The prices are en pointe! If they had a manager with a brain it could be so much more. The restaurant group owns three other restaurants. Why they have kept the SUCKY mgt here is beyond my understands. I've never owned a restaurant but I have owned companies. No idea why they continue with very poor mgt. I feel like the manager must have nude pictures of someone!! Go here! Food exceptional. Just because mgt are possibly accepting bribes...or something weird is occurring...Enjoy what you can!!! You won't be disappointed...except the service!!
