We had a very delicious brunch recently at Blondie and Jim's! We had hears about it, just hadn't tried it.... not sure why it took us so long Our food was so good, the service was wonderful and it was so sweet of the owner to come around greet everyone! She explained how long it takes to make grits from scratch. It was a fun restaurant with unique decor. Now we can't wait to go back and try a meal for dinner!

I went here for dinner and this menu is full of flavor. The menu items are from the owners grandparents are authentic family dishes. Beautiful space with lots of natural light. Parking is so easy in Norton Commons. Can't wait to go back for Brunch.

Super cute vibe! Sat outside and it was a lovely spot. Staff were super friendly. Food was good - felt like the portions were a bit too small. For instance, with the chicken and waffles, the waffles is plural but they only give one waffle but do give 3 pieces of chicken. One of the individuals in our party said her food was way too salty and as a result, she didn't eat it. Water tasted a little funny - unsure if it is the filter that is used?

This is located right in the heart of Norton Commons. We and friends were heading up to Cincy from Meade/Hardin Counties and needed a midway point for breakfast. Needed somewhere with quick access to I-71, open after 10 am, able to make reservations and a decent menu. Jackpot!!! We were greeted by one of the owners/chefs. She shared info about her menu, the inspirations, and the emphasis that food is made to protect your gut health. They offer classes that my friends and I plan to make the one hour drive at some point to experience. The review will be updated then. For now, the waffles were amazing. Both posted are seasonal. Looking forward to coming back near Valentines for Red Velvet waffles. Prices are reasonable in comparison to other mom and pop restaurants that we visit in our county. This made the drive worth it.

Located in Norton Commons. Went on a Sunday at 11am. Was quickly seated. It's a smaller restaurant... only about 8 tables and then bar seating. Food came out in about 10-15 minutes. The French toast casserole was very good! It was expensive ($14) for a small piece but seemed about the same price as all the other menu items. Would go again to try something else just expect to pay around $12-24 for food items. Higher up charge for debit/credit cards vs cash.

Adorable southern brunch spot ~ this restaurant is the perfect location to dress cute and meet with your girlfriends! Things you should know: I. PARKING B&J's is within Norton Commons. You can find free parking within the center of the town square or along the streets. Parking is packed on weekends so I suggest coming on a weekday! II. SERVICE Their signature table markers are cute. The food came out in a timely manner and the owner personally spoke to us, which was a nice personal touch. III. QUALITY Not one complaint from our party. We enjoyed everything! The chef was very accommodating to my picky requests with the salad. IV. CAPACITY There was a fair amount of available seating for a Weekend at noon, but I think it's because they're relatively new! Please show them love and support so they can continue to thrive!

    Mimosa flight and Bloody Mary

We have heard a lot of wonderful things about Blondie and Jim's Bistro and finally had the opportunity to give it a try! We came in on a Tuesday and were quickly greeted and seated by Blondie herself! She explained all food is real, made in house down to the salad dressing and nothing is processed or contains preservatives. We ordered flight of mimosas which you get choose four flavors and they are brought over in carafes. My husband chose the Bloody Mary. Both were amazing! I chose strawberry, mango, peach and watermelon and man! They are fresh juices and amazing flavor. You could tell the strawberry was so fresh and had a nice puree. After scanning the menu (though not large but very tasty) there were so many things that caught our eye. How to choose! We decided to do the salmon croquettes as an appetizer. Let me tell you...it summoned memories of sitting around my grandmother's table. They were amazing! For our main course (we were eating light) we decided on the paninis. I got the BJ panini (jerk chicken, Caramelized onions, and havarti). Jerk chicken is a dice roll, but the execution in balance of flavor, and the nice grill on the bread combined with the onions and melts havarti will be a sandwich I dream about. My husband got the broccoli cheddar beef and honestly we couldn't pick who won best order, which is a game we constantly play. The roast was cooked for 12 hours and so tender. The broccoli and cheese was fresh and nicely complimented the dish. Our sides were pasta salad and tomato basil soup. Because I have already written a dissertation of a review I will just end with you can't go wrong with anything you order. We will be back...maybe Sunday for bunch with the whole family bc their waffle selection will appeal to all the taste buds of my four kids and I already have my eye on the shrimp and grits.

First I'll speak on the atmosphere... it's actually really nice inside. Very pink and feminine but still nice! I love their celebrity themed table numbers/names in this case! The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was very good. I was recommended to get the croquettes and honestly I think I just miss my moms because I've never had any like hers! Overall I'd give everything a 4.5/5. The prices are a little expensive but that's everything these days!!

Food was AMAZING! I went on Fish Friday and had a catfish sandwich on white bread with macaroni and cheese, and Shoodie bread. Also had a Lemon Drop cocktail, which at the time I went during happy hour and it was on sale for $8.00. The kindness of the employees was appreciated and refreshing. The atmosphere was a complete vibe. From the vibrant colors to the jazz music, my experience was worth sharing. I can't wait to take my mom!

Took my mom for the first time to the best brunch place in Louisville Kentucky. We enjoyed the great flavors of fresh food fresh ingredients and it's black owned amazing

what an extraordinary place that absolutely drew me in with the pink aesthetic, but kept me there with a camaraderie, friendliness and warm hospitality. Me & my friend went for a girls brunch and it was perfect for that! The owner personally served us and gave us a little history behind the restaurant and how important it is that she makes her food conscientiously with no extra additives and keep food as fuel for your body. She makes her own juice from scratch and it made for the perfect cocktail! I got the panini which was delicious- and my friend got the french toast special- and THAT was outta this world!!!! They also are supportive of uplifting and inspiring the community through events, so i look forward to attending some soon! Much love for B&Js and will be back again!!

Best made from scratch waffles ever. So lite and fluffy but very flavorful. My husband had the chicken n waffles and I enjoyed the peach waffles. Will definitely be returning.

They created our birthday girl as a reservation for 2 instead of 6 and helped us surprise her at the table. The lighting is a bit dark but that helped the surprise. The manager brought out a sparkling wine and the chef sent out an amuse bouche. The pimento spread was so good we took a pint home for $20 (shhh secret). Our waitress Mo was professional a helpful with meal suggestions and separating some mushrooms for me. The shrimp appetizer is delicious and had 9 shrimp. The corn fitters come in 4 and Mo added 2. They were okay but I'd try something different in the future. The whole large kernels were odd in a light fritter. Our meals were fantastic. Everyone raved about bites of the filet and the chicken dish. The bolognese is a staple in the menu and was almost the perfect bite, perhaps a bit more meat in the sauce but the pasta was perfect. I had the wild boar and goat cheese polenta. The polenta didn't have a strong goatyness to it but was creamy, I ate it all. The boar was done to just short of falling off the bone. I used a piece of the grilled bread from my friends pasta to finish the meal. The wine list is short but complex. We had the Rioja red, so dry and smelled of old leather, but was a perfect wine to cut through the richness of the dishes. Our seat had a great view of the whiskey wall (almost every seat does) and it was a conversation piece the whole evening. Oh, forgot to mention the manhattan can be made into a black manhattan- outstanding. Best I've had in a restaurant. We are already making plans for our parties next birthday in July and will be asking for Mo. she was there at every turn throughout the meal. Pleasant and there to help at any point. The manager checked on us two times. WHP does fine dining so well. I haven't had such a wonderful evening for everyone in quite some time. We will be back and highly recommend. Will be sending out an executive's here when they are looking for L'ville dining. Well done. Sorry no pics, the room is dark and the ones I took don't do the meal justice.

Food 2.5/5: This obviously carries the most weight. The menu itself is excellent and the descriptions and components of each dish sound perfect. The execution was way off! Literally everything was far too salty and we ordered things that should not be salty... diver scallops and black cod. These are delicate proteins that don't need much help. Why oh why over-salt these?! Oddly the cook on both was very good but the seasoning ruined both dishes. Drinks 4.5/5: We had 3 different cocktails all of which were excellent.

My dining companions had the non-vegan Tortilla Papdi Chaat and creamy tomato soup, and enjoyed both. All entrees are served with delicately spiced and perfectly fluffy basmati rice. I ordered the Bagara Baingan, which I had never tried but plan to again - often. The sliced eggplant cooked in peanut, sesame and curry sauce is EPIC. Pricing is reasonable for an Indian restaurant on the East End, especially one that's so delicious. With so many vegan options I'm looking forward to visiting again (but might just keep ordering the Bagara Baingan because DELICIOUS).
