Loving the extra cooked delicious corn tortillas! Finished his carne asada platter like nobodies business too. DELICIOUS!

First, I'm a nurse and this crisis is crazy. But Martha gots it going on! Flock here. Eat here if you can. Nice people but really, it's about the food. Delicious and fast! Wine tasters come here! Road trippers come here. All culture friendly. By the way, lengua meat only burrito! Best ever! Every trip I'm coming back!

Wow this place is good. Could be considered a hole in the wall place, but only because it lacks fancy wallpaper, hip music, and a hostess. Otherwise, the food speaks for itself. Came here on a recommendation after a hike in the woods, looking for something hot and satisfying. Ordered an "adovado burrito" with everything and took it home to enjoy next to the fire. Was pleasantly surprised with the flavorful marinated meat that gave a red hue to the rice and beans in the burrito. I would highly recommend this burrito, and I'm sure any other burrito based on the quality I tasted. Tastes authentic and downright wrong it is as so good.

This is a great little place on the main drag in the small town of Lafayette. If you order and eat there they serve you on real plates...a big plus to me. And they bring around warm chips and salsa...a big plus. You can't go wrong eating here. We had the taco plate for lunch...carnitas taco and husband had carne asada taco...both came with rice and beans. Totally delicious. Will go again.

The refried beans are like velvet of flavor in your mouth. My husband and I detour on our way to the beach. We are never disappointed.

These tacos are the best tacos I've tried. They get better every single time I come. They prepare the food in a good amount of time.

I got a tamale and enchilada, I asked for beef for the enchilada but ended up getting ground beef when I wanted shredded beef. It is my fault , however it would also be nice if the server specified as well. My boyfriend got the carne asada enchiladas and those were a lot better. I saw a lot of one star reviews saying that the food was bland, but I didn't think so. The rice beans were just OK but sometimes it's better to have a not so flavorful and in your face right and beans to accompany the very flavorful enchiladas. The ambience there is very nice. They have a lot of paintings and it's very spacious. We enjoyed our meal. They also give military discount which is a plus.

My friend ordered a chicken quesadilla but felt like it was mostly cheese with little to no chicken. On the other hand, I ordered a combination plate with a cheese enchilada and a chicken chimichanga--both were delicious! The food was flavorful, though not the best Mexican cuisine I've ever had. Our waiter was attentive, and the margarita was absolutely fantastic--a definite highlight! If you're in the area, it's worth giving this place a try. Would I come back? Probably!

This is our go-to Mexican place in Woodburn and it hasn't disappointed yet…read more Food has always been good, love getting chips, salsa & extra sauces in squeeze bottles. Ice water at the utensil stand. Service was so friendly. There were meats we were unfamiliar with, so the counter staff offered us a small sample. Barbacoa is now my jam! We ordered 4 meals: Chile relleno, tamale special, torta, & enchilada special. The specials are well-priced at under $12. We stopped in about 45 minutes before closing and staff did not rush us out. Nothing fancy ambiance-wise and this place looks similar to other Mex places on Front St. So make sure you're in Luis'!

No business embodies the vibrant Mexican community of Woodburn more so than Luis's Taqueria…read more Located along the strip of businesses on Front Street, this family owned business have been a perennial destination for Michoacan-style Mexican fare for over 3 decades. The first thing folks will notice is the colorful decor of paper piñatas across the ceiling and the spacious digs with lots of 4 top tables for some limited group action. Orders are placed at the counter and the menu is vast enough where there is something to offer for everyone. Some immediate recommendations would be their tamales platter, along with their enchiladas rojas, and their Americanized tacos dorados. Their burritos are especially large and a complete gut bomb for anyone looking for a major filler. Their ceviche tostadas are beautiful, along with their layered tortas, and hearty chimichangas. While I don't love their corn tortillas or the tacos, I would be down to give them another shot. Cabeza and carne asada especially. The prices have crept up over the years, to where many items have hit the sub $10+ range and even tacos are at $3.50 a pop. There is a price to pay for fame, but the only time it should be dinged is if the price no longer matches the quality. Ultimately, this will always be one of the city's most popular lunch destinations and local haunts. It's so well known that Obama has been here (#1) and continues to bring in new faces every week. This is a must visit for any Mexican food lover and especially for first timers in Woodburn. ____________ (#1) https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/luiss-taqueria-woodburn?select=iYjRIeJrLS47keUaG0_vVQ
