First time at the new service center.
    Daryl P.

Recently moving to Delaware, you'll need a reliable service center to take care of your car. With their recent relocation to their new spot, this review is centered around their Service Center. Stopped in yesterday to get a standard oil change. With a recent trip to WV and elsewhere, my poor Honda Accord; Eva needed some tender love and care. Booking an apt was easy online, as with anywhere the earlier that you book the better options you'll have. With my appointment I was able to get my Saturday spot locked down in the afternoon right as I was getting off of work. I pulled into the freshly constructed Service Center that just finished a couple weeks ago; you could still smell the fresh coat of paint and was looking to see if their service matches their shiny floors. I was greeted by the attendant that made checking in easy. With one last farewell to Eva, I proceeded inside where I worked with Melanie to give me the news on the work needed to be done on my Accord. I will say that I am not car savvy and it was nice to have Melanie walk me through the different alerts that came up for my Accord. I realize that there are very few things that you want to chance and your car; the means to get to places for pleasure and work is not one of them. The service was pretty seamless with Melanie communicating with me through their messaging service, letting me enjoy a well earned lunch after work while I wait. We had talked about possible concerns that arose during their inspection of the car, just putting small things on my radar for next time like my sparkplugs and thread on my tire. Price is always important but what is more important is working with a team that will educate me in this area and give me their recommendations that are in the best interest of my car and my wallet. Always check their website out as you could be able to save a few dollars with your service, they had a special on transmission services. In about 2 hours, my service was complete and I was checking out with Jodi, their checking out service and cashier. With tire rotation, transmission fluid changed along with the oil service that originally brought me in, Eva and I were ready to head back on the open road...to go home after a day at the office.

2018 Honda Accord CMBS error message
    Samuel M.

I have been having trouble with my Accord's Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS). After some time (about 1 to 2 hours) of driving under Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), the CMBS would shut off and the also the ACC with it. Then I would have to pull off the highway, shut off the engine, and restart it. (This can be dangerous.) The error message clears, and allows continued driving, with ACC, for another 1 to 2 hours, until the next CMBS failure occurs. My Honda dealer wanted to keep the car, to reproduce the failure. Since driving the car for a hour is not feasible, the dealer suggested I go to the nearest Honda dealer when the next failure occurs and show them the error message on the dashboard. This requires that the engine be kept running, since shutting off the engine clears the message. I took the car to Martin Honda, in Newark, Delaware, where I was met by two "valets" who were to accept the car while I checked in with the service representative. One valet was training the other. BTW, the trainee did not have a pen, to write down the car's mileage! (He said he had one in the car.) I told them, not less than three times, not to shut off the engine. The error message would vanish if the engine were not kept running. They replied, each time, with some lawyerly words about how, as valets, they were not to give customers any technical advice. I didn't ask for any! I saw the Assistant Service Manager, and explained the situation. He said there was no one available to look at the car. All his technicians were booked. I needed an appointment. I told him it was not possible to make an appointment for a resolution of this type of intermittent failure. I also told him that it was not necessary to fix the problem, or order any parts. I just wanted him to identify the cause. The fix could occur later, with an appointment. A simple scan, in the presence of the error message, was all that was necessary. I was getting nowhere with the Assistant Service Manager, so I went out to retrieve my car from the "valet' and the "valet-in-training". They had parked it and shut off the engine! The next time the CMBS failed, I took it to Autonation Honda, in Ashburn, VA. They didn't have any valets. I spoke directly to the technician, who scanned the engine, and found that the CMBS software needed an update. The scan took about 10 minutes. The update took another 30 minutes. I was in and out of there in less than 45 minutes. No appointment was ever demanded. Martin Honda gets just one star. (Zero stars are not an option.) Autonation Honda gets five stars.

I was recently involved in an accident and my car was totaled. After visiting several car dealerships and being completely ignored (even the dealership where I had bought my previous car). I walked in the front door and immediately I was greeted by my future salesman Mateo. He quickly got me settled in and helped me find the car of my dreams. Also his boss Michael was friendly and helpful. I was buying the car with cash. It was extremely busy, so the had me go over to the used car finance department and process the final paperwork to give me the quickest way possible and I did not have to wait. I will never go anywhere else to buy my Hondas in the future. Well done guys!

Did a horrible paint job on my Camaro. It was like they painted dust into the finish.
