Do not trust them get an second opinion before hand take pictures before and after yourself and ask them to also before work is started and after. We Went for brakes and to check a leaky value on a tire and they lied to us. They claimed rotors were warped and tire had a hole in the side wall. We were stuck and I should have left but it was my wifes car and we were told maintaince had to be done their before hand or we would lose the warranty. They refused to just change the breaks with out replacing the rotators. I talked them into getting the rotors and tire back. Their was a little wear and rust but no warping, no bluing, no Gouges all wear is in neat concentric circles. They didn't even need to be lathed down in my opinion but they even refused to do that. These rotors have never been lathed down and were thick. They claimed we didn't buy the tires their and when pressed they said they were out of warranty. They claimed and explained things but were never clear and I feel like they lied and misslead my wife to pay for maintance that did not need to be done and robbed her. She goes 2 to 3 times a year and the bill around 1000 or above each time. read more

I contacted Newark Toyota and asked if I need any service since my toyota was 7 months old and less then 1 thousand miles. they said I needed tire rotation so I scheduled an appointment. The service team is fraudulent. They tried to charge me $8,000 for an oil leak and made the situation seem much worse than it was. I took my Toyota to another dealership, and it was a very small issue that cost me $320 to fix. Get a second opinion and watch out for Jason Curley, as he is trying to just make a quota. read more

My wife and I bought a car from them recently and they added a bunch of extras warranties that we specifically said we didn't want. I had to go back in and get them to take them off the loan, it was roughly 5k in extra add ons we didn't want. Was told it would be off in time before the first payment was due, it was not. When I went to ask them why it wasn't done yet they didn't seem to take much responsibility and basically blamed us for not reading the paperwork well enough. I assume when I sign something it's what I discussed, that's why we go through professionals, which they are not. read more

Asked for a list of all taxes and fees. They give you a lump sum number. Asked for a breakdown, said we would certainly pay all PA fees/taxes. They had numerous fees listed including a PA title fee of $799. I inquired about this and was told it was a PA fee. NOT TRUE, it is solely additional dealer profit which they conceded but would not eliminate. Would not waive this despite being given false info.. May want to consider Glen Mills Toyota in PA as an alternative to Price. read more

avoid at all costs. ben cloud and mark chance at price toyota were absolutely horrendous. they showed me a jeep before it was even maintained by their service center. when i had a third-party mechanic inspect it, the report showed major issues -- and ben was willing to sell me that car without mentioning any of it. i'm so glad i checked. he made it seem like fixing the issues was a favor to me and claimed they couldn't lower the price because of those repairs. instead, they tried to scam me by adding extras i never asked for, saying they "were already on the car" and i had to pay for them so they wouldn't "lose money." they even jacked up the price and tried to frame it as a deal by "honoring" the old sticker amount. communication was slow (hours between responses) and they refused to work with me. i'm a trusting person, but they took advantage of that -- so i walked away. ben even put another salesperson's name on my paperwork instead of his own -- likely to dodge accountability if I reported him. always get a third-party inspection if you're buying used, and honestly, save yourself the trouble and avoid price toyota entirely. read more

I don't have time for this, but people need warned. Took my 1999 PA Classic plated Toyota Solara to them for oil leak and other items if needed. I supplied the ONLY oil this car has had in it since 2005. The brand is Swepco & it is purple in color. When time came for me to check the oil, it was clear/amber brown in color. Both svc mgr, Jason C. shop mgr David W. swore multiple times that I'm blind & the oil wasn't switched. I sent an oil sample into Polaris Labs and they confirmed that additives that were in that sample, are NOT a part of the Swepco additive package. Contacted VP of ops Mike C. and he never responded, a clear sign of guilt. Spoke to my attorney & while you can smell their crap oil burning, I can't prove damage & am sunk. I spent around $6,000 for this shop visit and was lied to and cheated. So, not sure they did any of that work, no trust ever for these thief's. Just find another shop...or more honestly, they are all as hideous as Newark Toyota? I cut them slack years before when they sold my daughter a Ford Focus that had the highest NTSB warning recall ( not allowed on any American car lot ) but they sold it to her anyway. Lost 2 transmission in 1 month, on 95 and PA Turnpike 76. If you like your safety, this ain't the place to take ANY vehicle! Unlike them, just the facts. read more

The only reason that I'm giving one star is because I can't give a zero stars. When bought a used 2018 Chevrolet Cruze we bought the expires care package at the salesman's behest. The key fob got damaged but it was supposed to be covered under it for a free replacement. Well they've blown us off and told us to go to a Chevrolet dealer. Each one of them says that they do it for $500 when the replacement was supposed to be free. They won't even try to contact a Chevrolet dealer for us to explain the situation. It seems that one they make a sale in their used car area, they forget about you! Do not deal with them! read more

Have you been wondering if the stories about Toyota, its products, and its dealers have been true? Well, wonder no more because I am here to tell you THEY ARE TRUE! If you're wondering why Toyota's profits are so high lately it's of course because the standards for quality have gone to total and complete crap. One thing matters to dealers when it comes to both sales and service, get 'em in and get 'em out! Sell 'em high and fix 'em low! Frank here is as useless as he is arrogant, but that was my mistake thinking he was some form of authority just because of where his desk is located and the way he carries himself. Well, all he does it manage to turn people off to Toyota as whole because that's what's happening here. I have a RAV4 that was built in Canada so it's no where near as well-built as my Corolla hatchback that was assembled in Japan so I ACCEPT THAT. However, if they're not going to profit from it and it's going to take any sort of effort, brain power, or ability to think like a functioning human being then your problem will not be fixed and it will probably be made worse, like mine was. If you're as bored by the new design Toyota has on everything as I am and you are frustrated by their focus on profits over customer service and quality then you should really re-think the absurd loyalty some of us have had to this company. Also, the service center waiting area is really, really gross (don't you dare drink from that soda fountain unless you love moldy soda), uncomfortable and completely lacking of any features that Toyota dealers all over the country usually have. read more

had a car lined up to purchase and salesman went on vacation and never held car or Told me he was going on vacation. Finally got a call back after 4 attempts and 4 days of trying to get a call back. Offering 3k under KBB on my car and just to tell me car I wanted was transferred out and sold. showed me several vehicles that I like But would work with me on the base model. Anything above base model there was no room to barter or anything. Worst part, family purchased a 55k vehicle from them less then 2 weeks ago. No returning customer or loyalty program. Found a similar car not basic for the same price as the basic literally 3 minutes away, and when I said if they can match that I will buy from them, not a single message back. Just left me wondering what was going on. They have no desire to deal with anyone who doesn't want to pay their inflated price. if you have no respect for your customers, then not sure why anyone would want to shop here, id go elsewhere. read more

From the day I walked in way back in 2002, pregnant with my first child and purchased a 2003 Sienna and bought or leased others in between including my current 2017 Highlander Hybrid, Ken and the ToyotaWorld team have always treated me like a star customer. Ken values my time and gives me the best and fair deal. I've been through four wonderful Toyota's, only because I wanted a different or upgrade to a newer model. Throughout my ownership experience, all my vehicles go to ToyotaWorld for service. They have the BEST service department. When you pull into the service bay, someone comes out to greet you and get you checked in as soon as possible. They value your time and know you have places to go. They used to have a free shuttle and now call and pay for a lyft car ride. What could be easier? Good for you ToyotaWorld...keep up the good work! read more

Ajay Bhan is a dishonest salesperson, beware. He will act really nice and have great I'm here for you, but the whole time he is feeding dishonest information. I waited on a car that I suppose to had built and when it finally came, Ajay Bhan called me and stated my car was at the dealer. As we are going over paperwork I remembered some things about the car I was suppose to have, after asking Ajay Bhan about the missing things, he states " this is the car that came, He had no idea that the sunroof that I ordered wasn't on the car prior to the built. He also stated that the car doesn't come with the comp package anymore( and im like well didn't you know that during the making of the vehicle) he stated NO! His best advice to me was I can give your deposit back and I don't have to buy the car....well if I didn't pay over 5k for rental waiting for MY car I just might have got the deposit back. I recently bought a 2020 Tacoma Off-Road at Newark Toyota World after driving and maintaining two old vehicles over the course of 15 years. I was a first-time new car buyer and I wanted to feel the magic of not having to worry about fixing a car or passing inspection at the DMV for a while. However, my first car buying experience was an absolute nightmare and I had plenty of stress and lost sleep over the experience. Within the first week, my new truck's check engine light was on. The Toyota Service Center told me to just drive it to reset it (saying it was a gas cap error), threatening to charge me $150 if I brought it in for a diagnostic and no issues were found. I was stressed for a couple weeks and finally called back to make a service appointment since the light didn't go away. The truck ended up needing a new gas tank, a new fuel line, and new charcoal filter. They didn't offer me a loaner car. I was losing my cool at this point in the Toyota dealer because they sold me a broken vehicle and I felt taken advantage of. The truck was not cheap and suddenly I had no vehicle to drive and I was relying on my wife to drive me around. I wanted a deal reversal and the sales manager, Mark, told me they could start that process. However, later that day his boss, the financial manager, Dave Fales, told me that wasn't possible. He was rude to me and told me, "Legally he doesn't have to do anything to help me and he could turn his back on me if he wanted to. However, he is going out of his way to help by getting me a different car." I knew that legally he was right and that the laws protect the slimy car salesman, but that doesn't give him the right to take my money and proceed to treat me like dirt. He tried to upsell me by offering a Tundra. I said I don't want to spend MORE money, so I picked out a cheaper used vehicle. He ran the numbers and offered it to me for the same price of the NEW Tacoma. He prefaced it by saying we will both lose money on this deal. What a standup guy. I denied his awful deal and demanded a loaner vehicle in the meantime, which I shouldn't have had to ask for to begin with. The icing on the cake is that during this process, another salesman casually told me there was a "bulletin" out for those Tacoma repairs so it's no big deal. NO ONE TOLD ME THAT WHEN I BOUGHT THE TRUCK, THOUGH. I didn't buy a brand-new truck with only 300 miles to deal with emissions issues within the first week. I truly felt like I'd been scammed. A couple of days later, I received a call from the service center saying they scratched my bumper when trying to replace the bed of the truck, so they put it in the body shop. I finally got the truck back after 7 days. However, they forgot to plug in the rear-view camera and I had to go back to the shop again for that. In the end, I realized all of the "We want to make this right," or "We want you to be happy" was really just: "We want to try and squeeze more money out of you, otherwise we can't do anything to help your situation." Although I do really like the truck that I bought, I will never do business with Toyota again. read more

I've owned Toyota vehicles for many years. If something needs repair or a replacement part, I would call my local Toyota dealerships for parts info. They would tell me the name of the part and the part number. I've been doing this for at least ten years. About 3 months ago I called this particular dealership to get a price quote and details about a VSV valve for an EGR. They gave me the price but stated "they don't give out the part numbers", even in person. I told them that it wasn't true. I've always called and have always been given a part number when shopping for a part. I told them that an item description is not accurate enough when ordering or looking up parts. Some parts go by more than one name or description. The part number is the most accurate way of ordering. I spoke to a supervisor and asked why the sudden change? He told me (in short) that they stopped giving out part numbers because they didn't want customers shopping around for a better price. This is the only dealership (so far) that has declined to provide their customers with needed information for part identification. For the record, I do sometimes buy directly from the dealerships when calling. Other times, I don't. As for shopping around for a better price, I feel the customer should be able to do this without having the dealership purposely deny info to the buyer so that they can monopolize on the situation. I do not believe that a part number is an internal classification and should be held back to the customer. I'm currently looking to see if this "move" violates certain Anti-Competitive or Antitrust laws or codes. In short, I recommend that all Toyota owners (or future potential owners) not go to or shop at this dealership for any reason. These are signs of bad business practices. Which means that they can't be trusted or depended on when needed. read more

Received an amazing offer letter in the mail as a loyal Toyota customer so we called and spoke with Rose who was upbeat and positive and confirming of Toyota's commitment to us as longtime Toyota customers. We scheduled an appointment for 2 days later with the intention to upgrade from a 2014 and re-establish our warranties. When we arrived, we met Ken in the parking lot who was nice as pie and was a longtime salesperson for ToyotaWorld. He saw us looking at the newly released RAV4 XSE Hybrid and immediately allowed us to drive it. He was very knowledgeable about the car and the differences between XSE, Limited and VLE models. Unfortunately, it broke down pretty badly from here. Turns out that they did not actually have the XSE car my husband had discussed over the phone. We thought it best to begin the appointment by thinking through a few of the financials at a highlevel to ensure we could look at cars that were in our budget (approx. $30K). Therefore, we asked Ken if we can begin the budget conversation early and he said 'Not Yet' for 90 minutes! We went to the General Manager Jeff Ickes and he made it known that the letter we received was just a marketing ploy and not meant to confirm Toyota's commitment to loyal customers. He said the XSE we were looking at was in high demand and really did not care whether we bought it or not because 'that car will sell tonight to someone else in a couple of hours'. He also said the XSE parts made in China are being held up by the Trump tariffs but perhaps in October the new US factory will be able to get XSE cars to dealerships in a timely fashion. He never asked if we wanted to upgrade our 2014 to something else on the lot nor did he care. He advised we simply buy the purple 1 XSE he had or go home. He said all of this with a smile and a laugh but nevertheless offensive to us after being baited and held for 90 minutes while Ken was running around pretending to find new inventory. Finally, minutes after this conversation with Jeff, Ken had located a color that was suitable but wanted us to buy it without driving it from a sister dealership 40 minutes away for $37K with a trade in value of our car $3K lower than Kelly Blue Book. The payment would have come to ~$700 per month. Now this is nothing for us since we both drive high end cars to work, but we came in only wanting to upgrade our 2014 front wheel drive, to a 2018/2019 All wheel drive. We had in mind a payment of about $400. We politely said to them that the ToyotaWorld instore customer service could have worked a lot better if Ken had asked us at the beginning of the appointment what we would consider as payment and what features we were looking for. We would have told them (as we said to Rose) 1.) 2018 or higher, 2.) All wheel drive, 3.) $400 payment, 4.) trade in value of $14,000. We left feeling baited, insulted, cheated, and want no part of ToyotaWorld nor Toyota for a long while. Rule #1 in business, if you get a customer ready to buy, don't let them leave unhappy. Would have been great to have Ken, Jeff, and Jim exclaim, 'hey we want to keep you as a customer! The car you want is out of your price range and not in inventory but we can satisfy your requirements by upgrading you to a new 2018 AWD gas model for two years and then we will switch you into the XSE since by then the inventory will be in a better place.' Sending this to the owner of the franchise in the event he wants to do something about the linear myopic customer service model. Bottom line is that Toyota could have had sales tonight of $67,000 (ours and the XSE that will sell tonight) but instead they went out of their way to dampen a $30,000 sale.
