Fortunately, I came to the right collision repair experts! Someone damaged the front bumper of my Toyota Prius and sped away. The bumper had a large dent on one side and a few minor cracks. Luckily, my car's bumper was not made of plastic. The repair cost was the same as my deductible so I paid for it myself. Randy gave me a fast,honest, and great auto body repair quote. Previously, I got two other quotes, which required a new bumper and grill. These quotes were much much higher! Randy said he could start that morning and said it would be done the next day! He lied to me about my car being a total loss and stalled but i was in a minor car accident. My car only needed the trunk latch to be fixed. i didnt agree for him to paint it or make it look pretty. I really only wanted the estimate, if i knew they would work on the car without my consent i would not have brought it in. I keep asking for an itemized bill and exact amount but they keep stalling. They told the insurance company the cost would be 10k which is what i got paid and now they wont let me pick up my car if i dont pay them 15k. I googled this shop before Covid hit, because someone had side swiped my car and left. I had to pay out of pocket, as a result. They gave me a great quote and did the job in one day. Vehicle was taken in for a consultation on 10/10/2020. I discussed with Martinez, the owner of Martinez Auto Care Inc about my restoration expectations for my classic 1980 Mercedes 450SL. I was quoted for $3,800 at the time of consultation for minor dents/scratches repair, a paint job, dash board repair, side molding restore, interior headliner color change, wood veneer trim color change, passenger window repair, and chrome seat hinge caps on both the driver and passenger seats, antenna repair. I picked up the vehicle Thursday November 5th at 5:30pm. I was unable to see the quality of the paint at the time of pickup due to the car being dirty and the sun being down at this time. However I did express concern for the dash board not being completed, there was an unknown black substance over the cracks of the dash that had faded a grayish color and Martinez stated I could bring it back to fix the repair they started on my dash despite him telling me the repair was completed prior to us arranging a time for pickup. I paid him the $3800 and drove my vehicle home in Stockton. Upon further inspection in my garage, I noticed not all of the panels of my car had been repainted, the interior trim had not been changed at all, dust particles in the paint, inside of doors unpainted, swirl marks on hardtop, chipping paint around windshield, and Mercedes emblem put back on crooked. I texted him my concerns and asked him what we can do to rectify the situation and he told me to bring it back in to be looked at, however my vehicle had already been in his shop for a month so arranging another service from him 1 hour away from my home was already an inconvenience. I called him to express the inconvenience this has posed to me and he stated I was "just making excuses" even though I'd already paid him for the services we discussed at the time I picked up my vehicle. I told him I didn't need to make excuses for something I already paid for and that I just want the services I paid for to be finished and that if he didn't agree to sand off the chipping and incomplete paint job, refund me and that I'd take my vehicle somewhere else to be serviced. He yelled over me stating that if I brought the car back in he'd personally repaint the vehicle to my standards and loan me a shop vehicle to get to work until the service was completed. I agreed, the vehicle was with his shop for one additional week to rectify the concerns we'd discussed. When I picked up my vehicle got the second time, he made claims to be out of town and that one of his associates would be there for pickup. When I arrived to pickup my car today, the hood of the car was open, I begin inspecting the problem areas and to my surprise the vehicle still was not complete. Two panels were repainted however the dashboard repair was never completed, the inside of the doors remain unpainted, the scratch on the hardtop seems to have been lightly buffed but I'd still very much visible. I am afraid the prep work for the paint was not sufficient enough to not have the paint start chipping again. Upon leaving the shop, my car now is not driving over 55mph without jumping and shaking. 18 miles away from his shop my car begins smoking and I immediately pull over. There is a clamp missing from my coolant overflow hose and I had the vehicle towed to a stockton mechanic shop to be diagnosed. When I called Martinez he did not answer the phone. I sent him videos / photos of the vehicle and he said he has pictures of everything they serviced and that he did nothing to my vehicle despite me driving the vehicle to and from his shop and to and from work without any issues prior to him servicing my vehicle. There was nothing to be serviced under my hood so I'm not sure why his guys were under my hood upon pickup and I am also not happy with the incomplete service I paid $3800 for with the amount of time I was without a car I expect the service to be completed and the quality to be there. Side note: he used Windex on my car's paint when picking her up the first time as a means to "clean" the dirt off because the car was so dirty. WINDEX. That alone should tell you how little he knows about quality paint / compounding chemicals. Which is probably why his paint chips off the next day. read more

I own a Infiniti G35S which got hit in two different areas and I decided to go with their company based upon the steller recommendation from a good friend. They took the time to not only restore my vehicle to "as good as brand new" the work was done professionally, Mr. Martinez kept me informed in terms of what the status of the repair work was. He was very pleasant and informative in describing the extent of the damage, in addition the insurance adjuster didn't catch all of the damage done and Mr. Martinez contacted the adjuster to re-inspect the vehicle in addition to notifying me that during their own inspection they had discovered additional repair work that needed to be performed. Wanted to get a vehicle detailed. They Quoted me the cheapest estimate, beating all 6-8 other competitors, that I had called, estimates by a minimum of $150. I ended up adding a few more last minute things for fixing and detailing and still paid less than any other competitors lowest cleaning detail estimate!! They got me right in. All the other places said I'd have to wait at least 3-4 days. Great service. My car looks better now than when I bought it! Eric Martinez is not an honorable guy. He ended up keeping my car longer than he should have [now even before work was supposedly to start, come to think of it] and verbally agreed that he would reimburse half or all of the extra days I had the car rental. He seemed agreeable and supportive about it, but then ghosted me after he said he was ready to get my Venmo information. I ended up paying a lot of money because it took so long, another week or so of non-discounted rate after the alloted 25 days, so the ball really was in his court and if he was a responsible and respectable business owner he would have done due diligence and reimbursed me the money I ended up paying that was his fault. There's a lot of good reviews here about his work [why I ended up going to him in the first place], but watch out should things go sideways. Deal with Eric at your own risk! read more
