Beautiful testimony of the owners of the restaurant on their website. God bless!!

A wonderful night was had by all!! I liked the staff, the ambiance, and the food! I ordered carne asada.... beautifully marinated steak that was so tender that I could pull it apart with my hands. Warm fluffy tortillas. Smooth and savory refried beans. Tasty, creamy, refreshing guacamole. And I had a cheese enchilada so that I didn't miss out on my favorites! Delicious chili con carne sauce was smuthered onto the enchiladas! I had a wonderful time listening to my friends and him I enjoyed the warmth of the crispy tortilla chips and spicy salsa. Just enough heat to make you want more. My husband had steak fajitas which was as delicious as mine! I wanted to save room for dessert, because they have some of my favorites! Fried ice cream is my go to.... but I was so full and so satisfied with my meal that I could not spare an inch!!! Not to mention that I drank 3 glasses of their refreshing ICED TEA, because it was perfect with our savory entrees! Our waitress was so friendly, professional, and lively!!! Clean restrooms too.... again I had 3 glasses of tea and had a 20 minute drive home!!! Bless my heart!!! But seriously, God bless the Martinez family and staff!!

Second time here and the food was even better than the first time! We had a huge party (maybe 15 of us with 3 kids) and one server who took all our orders and didn't make a mistake. She was kind, joyous and very attentive to our needs despite us being a roudy group. This time around I ordered the carne asada. Marinated grilled flank steak which came with 4 flour tortillas, beans, rice, guac and pico. The steak was extremely flavorful and was definitely grilled. It was delicious and hot! I really appreciate the hot and fresh tortillas. You have to ask for butter if you'd like but they are perfectly fine without it. Anyways service and food were great. Kudos to the team here!

I visited this Mexican restaurant with a friend on Friday. I had heard great things about this restaurant, but had never visited in the almost 2 years I've lived in Texas and the Mesquite area. We entered the building and I was surprised how big it was. I was expecting something smaller, but anyways, we were promptly seated. Our server, Elsa, brought us warm chips and salsa and asked what we'd like to drink. My friend and I finally decided what we wanted to eat and placed our order. When the food arrived, it was hot and was exactly what I'd been craving! I ordered the chimichanga with beef fajita meat and it was fresh, tender and seasoned perfectly. My friend ordered enchiladas with extra tortillas and also loved his meal. The server was excellent, attentive and very kind. The restaurant was clean and a pleasant dining environment. And of course, the food was outstanding! We will be back soon!

This is my 1st time here and the decor was true to the type of restaurant it is. I think the work is very nice to the eyes and all while eating I couldn't stop looking around. It seem to be a big establishment even though it wasn't busy because of it being a holiday. I ordered a half order of steak/chicken nachos. The chips were kinda small with either meat and cheese on top. Beans were also on top of the nachos- tasty. A side of guacamole, sour cream, and jalapeños came with my order but I can't remember if I had to ask for one or the other and all were ate. The meat had a excellent flavor and I would order it again. The service was light because of it being a holiday and it was one person at the door and one person being the waitress. She was nice and attentive even though she got the drinks, took your order, took your money, and was cleaning the tables. Can anyone say multi- task. She did a great job- just hoping it's not like that for her every day. I recommend this spot on the decor, the food, and the service I received on Dr. Martin Luther King Day. P.S.- looking it seemed to me that they had a special area. I don't know if it's for booking or renting out but it's behind a close door. I will let you know WHEN I go back- if you don't get to it first.

Mozzarella sticks were nice and crispy battered on the outside with soft gooey cheese inside just like you want from good mozzarella sticks My friend ordered the nachos and let me tell you that plate was stacked. Huge plate of nachos! The place was clean, service was friendly and overall we were just really impressed with everything. Even end of the night food was still served fast, fresh and delicious. Okay!!! Las Palmas has officially been added to our work trip dinner rotation!! No…read morereservation...just a walk party of 6 and they had a table for us...as long as we could be out by a certain time...about an hour and a half after we walked in. We were there to eat so if they were going to wine and dine us in that amount of time, we were there for it!! Everything was delicious, everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks and we are so glad we found this location and made it happen! I was looking forward to dinner here the entire day and it was worth it!! We had the queso blanco...it's got a kick...worth it! My wagyu fajitas were perfectly cooked medium rare and soooo flavorful!! I was my dessert in my pjs back at the hotel...the sopapilla cheesecake and ice cream held up perfectly and was everything I wanted it to be!! It's a dark atmosphere in the bar area, but the vibes were so cool. It wasn't too loud to where people were having to scream to converse...but it was not intimate where you could talk across the table softly with the other person hearing. We are still talking about Las Palmas days later and can't wait until we are back in Dallas to bring more of our group here to enjoy delicious food and great service!!

I came here for my birthday dinner with a couple of friends and overall had a really great…read moreexperience. A few important notes though: this place is SUPER loud, especially upstairs, so if you are trying to take your older parents somewhere for a nice dinner where you can actually catch up and have a conversation, this might not be the spot. Also, avoid the upstairs dining room if anyone has mobility issues. The stairs are a little sketchy in that dark space because you basically have to TRUST there is another stair step in front of you even though you can't see it. And a heads up, do not wander into the wrong bathroom upstairs like my husband did because the "men's" and "ladies" signs upstairs are also nearly impossible to read in the dark! But honestly, those are really my only complaints... The service and food were both very good. We had a couple of ordering fumbles. We got the regular queso, and then immediately watched another table get the tableside flaming queso and we were seriously bummed. Like, really bummed. That is definitely what I will be ordering next time. The chips and smoky salsa were excellent!! - and I always appreciate when everyone gets their own little portion of salsa so everyone can double dip without feeling like a heathen. I ordered the wagyu fajitas (the half portion), and it was still easily enough food for two people. I will say the meat was more like a filet mignon texture and less like the flavorful fajita meat I was expecting. My friend's pork fajitas were actually much better and had more flavor. When the manager stopped by to check on us, I had to announce my own birthday because apparently my friends were not going to help me out with that (some friends, huh?). They brought out a complimentary sopapilla cheesecake with a candle, which was a very nice touch. All in all, I loved the place and totally understand the hype. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time. There is valet parking, but we found easy parking across the street. I cannot wait to come back and try that flaming queso!

I remember when they were located further down Lemmon Avenue in a much smaller space. They've since moved uptown, and the new digs are beautiful and very inviting. After we were seated, our server, Ruben, greeted us with a warm smile. We were especially excited since we arrived just in time to catch their lunch specials--and there are plenty of great ones to choose from. We started with a couple of frozen margaritas and a cup of queso while browsing the menu. The margaritas were spot-on--not wimpy at all, with just the right kick. And the queso? Absolutely outstanding--some of the best we've had in a long time. The salsa was excellent as well. My wife chose the lunch-sized chicken quesadillas, while I went with the #7 lunch special, which included a cheese taco, a chicken enchilada, and a beef enchilada topped with chili con carne. Our meals arrived after a short wait, and everything exceeded expectations. My wife was thrilled with the portion size--it was just right--and she was all smiles after her first bite. The chicken fajita meat was tender, flavorful, and perfectly marinated. My lunch special hit the spot and delivered exactly what I was craving. We had a fantastic experience at Mia's Tex-Mex. Ruben took excellent care of us throughout our visit, and we'll definitely be back again soon!
